"ARIBA!!" shouted the handsome Christmas Gelert as he leapt out onto the dance
floor.
"ANDELE!" cried a cloud Gelert one hopping out after him. The couple grasped
each other's paws and immediately started to flamenco to the booming Latin beat.
Caiiemis and her husband Tim had taken a trip to Mexico. Of course they had
brought along their kids, and their pal Charm, a great friend of the family.
Charm the golden Gelert chuckled at her buddies and then went over to the
corner of the dance club to get a cup of punch.
"'Allo Seņora!" greeted the serving Chia with a sombrero as he ladled the
Gelert some punch. Charm bobbed her head politely.
"Hola!" she said, and then made her way back to the group to watch over the
kids.
"Faster dad!!" a strawberry Gelert wearing some cool shades hooted to Tim.
His name as we've learned was Drumi and he was taking a breather from the dancing.
Drumi's brother Jupu, an electric Gelert was sitting next to Charm's daughter
Janu.
"Care to dance?" Jupu asked the Christmas Gelert. Janu smiled and gave him
a thumbs up.
"Let's!" she laughed and they dashed out onto the dance floor.
"H'Aww," Charm giggled to herself--then she got a gleam in her eye. "Hey Drumi...
wanna learn to dance?" she cackled.
Drumi adjusted his sunglasses coolly. "I... erhh?"
"Let an ol' pro show ya how it's done!" Charm dragged Caiie's son out onto
the dance floor.
"Sure!" Drumi laughed. The Gelerts boogied for a while with the other Neopets.
This one particular family had the Latin beat flowing through them especially.
They were complete masters and soon had the entire dance floor.
But while the Gelerts were having fun on their Mexican vacation, evil was
afoot (as it usually is) on the other side of town. A Lupe and an Aisha sat
on a bench outside a restaurant. The Lupe was extremely large, and the Aisha
had a neck brace, and neither of them was doing anything to attack the other.
It was a strange sight. They both had on huge sombreros that masked their faces
in shadows.
"So what's da plan boss?" asked the skunk Lupe, his tongue lolling stupidly
from under the rim of his sombrero.
"Zee PLAN is, to rule zee world!" cried the Aisha, evoking a few strange looks
from random passer-by.
"Right boss, right boss, waddeva ya say!" the Lupe slobbered.
"Bosvik," the Aisha said slowly in his Chinese accent.
"Yah, yah? Wat is it boss?" Bosvik's tail thumped against the ground with
a deafening pounding.
"YOU'RE AN IDIOT!" screeched the Aisha.
"Okay!" drooled Bosvik happily. The Aisha glanced around him and suddenly
spotted an attractive poster on the wall. It read in huge red letters "IT'S
POWERFUL STUFF!!" The message had immediately caught the Aisha's eye.
"What is zees?!" He leapt out of the Chair and grabbed the poster. "A peecture
of a taco?" He growled. "What kind of advertising is thees?!"
"Probably for the Taco Shrine." Bosvik was still wagging his tail.
"Zee Taco Shrine?" wondered the Aisha.
"You know, da all powerful taco shrine? Best place in Mexico!" Immediately
the evil Aisha singled out the word 'power'.
"Ahh? All powerful eh?"
"Yah yah! Ya wanna go there LDA?"
"WHAT DEED I TELL YOU ABOUT UZEENG THAT NAME EEN PUBLIC?!" Screeched the Aisha.
"NEVER call me LDA! Call me by my cleeever cleever disguise, the one that no
one would EVER figure out... call me... El Diye!"
"Dey sound da same," the black and white Lupe observed.
"EL DIYE!" shrieked El Diye
"Fine. But den if I can't call you LDA," he Lupe reasoned for a while. "Den
you can't call me Bosvik!" he said proudly.
"Shaht up, Bosvik!"
"Okay."
"Taco Shroine eh?" The male Gelert had opted not to go dancing with the others,
but to rendezvous with them at the market. Caiie's golden coloured son Gami
had a newspaper in his paws.
"What's that?" asked Tim
"Best tourist site 'round 'ere 'parently."
"Well let's go!" cried Charm. It was quickly agreed.
"Here ve are!! Aht last!" cried El Diye triumphantly.
"At last!" echoed Bosvik. The Taco Shrine stood before them. It was shaped
like a giant silver taco.
"So inside zat taco, is zee most powerful thing in all of Mexico?!" asked
the Aisha to his cohort. The Lupe pondered.
"Most powerful ting in all of Mexico." He finally decided. The Aisha grinned
at the thought of ruling Mexico.
"So... exciting..." El Diye mused happily.
"Exciting," agreed Bosvik
"Shat up!!!!"
"Shutting up."
"ZOUNDS!" yelled a voice from inside the giant silver taco.
"AIYEE!!" cried another. The bad guys watched as two Gelerts flew over their
heads from inside the Taco Shrine and landed on the ground with a thump.
"The power," gasped Caiiemis.
"OooOooOo..." Charm mumbled. El Diye's eyes twinkled. If the force of the
taco shrine was so great as to throw these two Gelerts clear out the door, then
of course it could help him with world domination.
"Yessss," he hissed happily to himself. Then the two Gelerts in front of El
Diye and Bosvik regained their senses and blinked.
"Who are you?" asked the golden one.
"We are..." Bosvik started. "...COFFEE SALESMEN!" he yelled moronically.
"MEXICAN Coffee Salesmen!" El Diye said hastily. "I'm Meester VrrWakeUp and
dees is my associate Meester McBeanBean. We travel far and wide through south
uhh... selling coffee."
Bosvik nodded happily. "Actually my name is really--" The Aisha clamped a
paw over the skunk Lupe's mouth.
"Excuse me friend, he has piņatas loose in the top pen, so to speeak." The
Aisha grinned nervously and pointed to the Lupe's head.
"What's that mean?" Caiiemis got to her feet and blinked.
"VRRWHAHT I MEAN IS HE IS INSANE!" roared the Aisha. "I mean...VrrWouldn't
you like some coffee?"
"I've heard that accent before," Charm said. Caiie nodded. El Diye started
to sweat.
"You couldn't have. Because... I am a MEXICAN Aisha--NOT to be confused with
an evil Aisha bent on taking over the world."
"Me too!" Bosvik cried. Caiie raised an eyebrow.
"Piņatas..." reminded El Diye (aka Mr VrrWakeUp) "Now BUY SOME COFFEE!"
"Me too!" Bosvik cried again. El Diye ignored him.
"Eet is zee best -MEXICAN -coffee een ALL of Mexico!" He rushed on.
"What's it called?" Asked Caiie sceptically.
"Err... eet is a very -Mexican- name because we -are- Mexican," El Diye mumbled,
trying to think of a name. "The brand name is SO Mexican that it's hard to pronounce...
err.. right, Mr. McBeanBean?"
"We call it... Pholgers!!" said Bosvik idiotically in a thick Spanish accent.
El Diye facepalmed.
"You know what?" growled Charm.
"Ehheh... wat?" The Aisha's sweat rolled down its face.
"I don't think you're Mexican." The Gelert narrowed her eyes. "In fact, I
think you're..." El Diye cringed. "AUSTRALIANS!! You're Aussies in disguise!!"
"Uhmm?" El Diye blinked.
"Answer me!" cried Charm. The Aisha was thinking fast.
"Yeeh! Ve are Australians! Ve are sorry ve lied! All we ever wanted was some
of the power from zee great Taco shrine!" He started to sob loudly and dramatically--then
he paused and looked up to make sure Caiie and Charm were watching him before
breaking down hysterically again. Bosvik howled mournfully.
"Aww. Poor guys..." Charm looked sympathetic.
"H'yeah," Caiiemis agreed. "Wait!" She snapped the fingers on her golden paw.
"Have I got an idea or what?!"
"Have you?" The gold Gelert tilted her head at her friend.
"What if -we- go in and bring out the power to these guys!?" El Diye stopped
crying and looked at Caiie and Charm with big glossy eyes.
"You VrrWould do that for mee?" He wailed.
"Sure thing!" Charm flashed a thumb up.
"We'll be right back!" Caiie and Charm leapt into the Taco Shrine. The Aisha
cackled to himself.
"Excellent!" he said, "Not only do I obtain all the power of the Taco Shrine,
but I don't even have to get it myself!"
Bosvik laughed idiotically. By this time Charm and Caiie were already racing
back.
"We got it!" They yelled triumphantly, as they skidded up to El Diye and handed
him a -huge- wrapped package.
"Thank you!" He cried and tore open the wrapping. Inside there was a box.
"Wat? A BOX?"
"I know! Isn't it wonderful?!" Caiie trilled.
El Diye tore that open too. There was another box inside that box. And another.
"Wat is zee meaning of zees?!"
"Just keep going!" cried Charm. "You'll get to it soon!"
El Diye unwrapped it layer by layer, his morale dropping with each box. Finally
it was the last box. The Aisha ripped the last box away to find a single taco.
And then a cold fury boiled up inside of him.
"ZEES IS THE POWER?!" He screamed
"It's powerful stuff!" Caiie nodded happily. Her golden friend nodded.
"The burritos have quite a kick as well!" Charm said, remembering how she
and Caiie had been kicked clear out of the Taco Shrine.
"Tacos? Burritos?" El Diye wailed. "What EEZ zees place?!"
"The greatest restaurant in all of Mexico!" Cried Bosvik.
"No..." El Diye started to cry. "No... noo. Nooooo..."
Caiie nodded happily.
"The most power in Mexico!"
"Spicy, mon!" Charm nodded and gave Caiie a wink.
"YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE LAST OF ME!" snarled El Diye. He grabbed Bosvik and
they quickly ran across the border. They had escaped!
"ILLEGAL ALIENS!" yelled Caiiemis. Charm shrugged.
"Ah well, let's head back to the Taco Shrine!" The pair walked in the door
of the gigantic taco. Inside, the taco was a glowing with light. Huge power
crystals adorned the walls shining with magic. The keeper of the shrine, an
old Nimmo, hopped over to Charm and Caiie.
"How can we ever repay you? Thank ye m'dears!" Drumi, Jupu, Janu, Tim, and
Gami were gathered around the Nimmo.
"No problem!" Charm smiled. "Looks like LDA's been tricked at his own game!"
Suddenly, a power crystal on the wall spoke.
"You saaaved us!" it squeaked.
"No biggie, little guy! XD" Caiie assured the crystal. Then other power crystals
began speaking.
"Three cheers for Charm and Caiie! Saviours of the Taco!"
"Heep heep, HOORAY!! Heep heep HOORAY!! heep heep HOORAAAY!!" The two Gelerts'
family cheered as well. The old Nimmo took out a small sack. He pinned a ribbon
to Caiie, and one to Charm.
"Magic, for when you get in a fix," he whispered with a wink.
"Gracias!" The Gelerts grinned.
The End... for now
