Priceless Fruit and Veggie Chias

by msbubblies

I recently started a NeoCircle for fruit Chia owners and I discovered that many Neopet owners aren't excited about owning a Chia, or they don't know about them. Of course, there are always a few exceptions. Some Neopet owners simply love the round little creatures.

A month ago, I had no interest in Chias, either, until I came across a picture of someone's pet Chia in the Beauty Contest. I fell in love with it immediately, and wanted one just like it. The picture was of an apple Chia. It was neatly drawn and had a plain white background (so it wouldn't draw attention away from the Chia). It lacked the use of fancy backgrounds, but it managed to take third place in the Beauty Contest.

Why is this, you ask? Fruit and veggie Chias are rare around Neopia. Many Neopet owners are not lucky enough to come across a picture of one, except for choosing a shopkeeper for their shop, occasionally seeing one in the Beauty Contest, or running into one in the Battledome.

Fruit and veggie Chias are truly special. As for now, Chias are the only pets that can be changed into fruits and vegetables. There is a strawberry fields paint brush that may be used on some lucky pets (depending on species), but it only changes your Neopet into strawberry colors!

Some Neopet owners think that it is almost impossible to obtain one, but nothing is really impossible if you want it badly enough. Here are a few options to make one of these priceless Neopets.

Method One (Creating a Fruit or Veggie with a Neopet You Already Own)

1. In order to change a Neopet you have already raised into a fruit Chia, your pet must be a Chia first. If it is not, you can buy a Chia morphing potion.

2. This method is quite expensive if you don't already have the necessary materials. Once you've gotten a pet that is a Chia, you will need a very special Chia pop. Feed it to your pet, and it will change into that fruit or veggie.

3. DON'T FEED THE CHIA POP TO YOUR PET IF IT IS NOT A CHIA ALREADY. Chia pops are very expensive, and it will not work if your pet is not a Chia already.

4. Many people advertise that their Chia pops can change your chia into a fruit or veggie, but check first. Not all Chia pops change a chia's color.

Method Two (Changing Your Pet Using The Lab Ray)

1. Lab maps are expensive to collect, but it is sometimes cheaper to buy the whole lab map set, compared to buying a Chia pop. Some people realize the value of fruit Chias and they sell the rare Chia pops for outrageous prices.

2. Create a chia as an experimental pet for the Lab Ray. I have done this four times, and so far it has worked three out of four times. My latest experimental Chia has not changed into a fruit yet.

Method Three (Last Resort to Obtain One)

1. Visit the Adoption Pound frequently! You may get lucky and obtain one. I create Fruit Chias and then allow people who really want one to adopt one of mine. Other people who are well off may do the same thing.
