Do the Robo Pet

by ticketytock2kay

Robot Pets. It seems as if everyone in Neopia wants 'em once they see 'em. They start hunting for a "Robot Paint Brush", until someone kindly tells them they can't paint their pets robot. So, how to you go about getting one of these mechanically adorable creatures?

The Lab Ray, of course! How do you get a Lab Ray? You need to collect all nine pieces of the Secret Laboratory Map and put them together in the Treasure Map game. This will give you access to a secret (though practically everyone in Neopia knows about it already) and powerful ray which you can use to zap your pet once per day. The ray can grant your pet higher stats, or take away stats, as well as change colour, species, and gender. One of the possibilities is that it will change your pet's colour to Robot. There is another way that you can get a Robot pet. You can try feeding him/her the Rainbow Swirly Potion. It will increase your pet's level and change your pet's colour, but I would not count on it to change your Usul Robot.

Now that you know how to get a Robot pet, you may wonder, "Why do I even want a Robot pet, since it is so hard to get?" There are a few reasons:

1. They're rare! One of a kind, if you will. You can't see Robot pets as much as you would see a green, red, yellow, or blue pet.

2. Robot Pets are cute! Especially the Robot Kacheeks, which look like astronauts!

3. They're super powerful and super strong, and can protect you from Dr. Frank Sloth, Dr Death, the Monocerous, and all the other evil villains of Neopia.

"Hold on, wait a sec," I hear you say. "They are super strong? Do they have super powers? And how much more powerful are they than my beautiful blue Usul?"

Each Robot Pet has several characteristics that your average, normal blue Usul does not possess. First, let me tell you what kind of pets can become robots: Acaras, Aishas, Blumaroos, Chias, Chombys, Jetsams, Kacheeks, Kougras, Kyrii, Shoyrus, Tuskaninnys and Usuls can all become robots. (Psst, have you seen the new unreleased Robot Jubjub? It's unbelievably cute!)

I cannot tell you the special characteristics of all these Robot pets, but I will tell you the rare features belonging to Robot Kacheeks, Robot Tuskaninnys and Robot Usuls.

I'll start with Robot Kacheeks first. Why? I know all about Robot Kacheeks, that's why. And how do I know all about them? I have one myself. So there. Her name is ChubbyKacheeko and she's the best Robot Kacheek I know.

Robot Kacheeks

Examine this picture of a Robot Kacheek. Notice that little red ball thing, on that stick, on top of the Kacheek's head? This feature helps the owner know how their Robot Kacheek is feeling. If he or she is happy, it will glow yellow. If sad, blue, and if angry, red. Then there's also the Robot Kacheek's powerful detachable tail. When in danger, Robot Kacheeks can detach their tails and swing them at their enemy. It can hurt five Korbats in a single swipe. Robot Kacheeks have exceptionally good hearing. Did you know that a Robot Kacheek can hear a Kraku bug scuttle over a leaf up to three miles away? Truly amazing.

Robot Tuskaninnys

Listen to this: Robot Tuskaninnys can fly! Yes, that's right! They can fly. But I've only seen one Robot Tuskaninny in my entire life in Neopia, and I've read the book "Robot Days". The book is about Meepa, a Robot Tuskaninny who "ventures too near to the Lab Ray". If you look closely at this picture of a Robot Tuskaninny, you can notice these two wing-like things tied onto the Robot Tuskaninny's tail. When they are flapped fast enough, it can lift a Robot Tuskaninny into the air. These mechanical creatures are the fastest ones in Neopia. Faster than the Kougra, even. They have a slight advantage as instead of paws, their "feet" are wheels, instead. The fastest record of a Robot Tuskanniny's speed is 123 mph.

Robot Usuls

I love how cute these cute little critters are! I may even adopt an Usul one day to try to transform him/her into a Robot Usul! Robot Usuls have thick, Neo-Stainless Steel flesh. When provoked, their eyes light up and shoot out red lasers. Robot Usuls can cry all they like because they won't rust, since they are made of stainless steel.

So there you have it, a summary of three of Neopia's rarest, cutest pets ever. What are you waiting for?! Go get a Lab Ray and start zapping that Usul of yours!
