The Noodles... Miniaturised!

by yaboofernoodle

This whole adventure would never have occurred if it weren't for a certain trip between worlds that the Noodles took one day to reunite themselves with me. It all seemed to be fine, after we got back. When we let time flow a bit longer, things began to take a turn for the worst...

"Pass the Kau Kau Milk, please," Firey_Sac asked.

We were sitting around the dinner table again.

"Mmm! That's great! Would you like some milk, bhuhbuh?"

Bhuhbuh sat up straight and groaned.

"Ugh... I don't think so, Firey. I'm really not feeling good lately." He leaned back and moaned again.

I started to wonder about my Pteri's health condition. Soon after, Number Nimmo slowly let out a little whine. It was making me very curious as to what was going on. I was about to head for the medicine cabinet when I heard a small whimper from the other side of the table. I glanced back and Firey_Sac was practically falling out of his chair.

"May... I... be... excused... mum?" I looked in the other direction. KoochieNoobus stammered her words out before collapsing on the chair. I backed away slowly and ran for the wagon in the garage. Dragging it into the house, I piled all my pets into the wagon and hauled it into the laboratory. When I reached the lab, I turned around to grab them out of the wagon. I was in complete shock at what I saw... each one of my NeoPets had shrunk into a way smaller size! I placed them each gently into my palm and ran the tests. When I was analysing the data, KN woke up.

"Good morning, mum! What's for breakfa... GAAAH!!!" She nearly fainted at my huge size compared to hers. "EVERYTHING GREW BIGGER!!!!!" She leaped out of my hand and onto the tabletop.

"Actually, KN... you're smaller."

She paused and made a fair response, "Well, I suppose that would make a tiny bit more sense along the lines of any physics laws... OK, let's get working on figuring out this problem." I let her jump onto the keyboard, hopping from key to key and entering computations. "Aha! I figured it out! This just so happens to be a side effect from the travel between Neopia and Earth! We'll be back to normal in no time... I hope." She gulped and sat back down on the mini-chair I made for her out of toothpicks while she solved the problem.

I plopped down Firey_Sac, 67_8401528, and Bhuhbuh on the other three toothpick chairs I made.

Later on, the shrinking was explained to KoochieNoobus's brothers. I let them go and play throughout the house, experimenting with all the objects compared to their minor size. Firey_Sac headed off to his room.

"Hah! Now I have you, evil Jelly Bean!" The teeny Wocky was screaming at an old jelly bean he found under his bed. "I must capture you!"

He leaped onto his Super Flyer action figure and flew up into the air. He made a sharp turn, did a Barrel Roll, went into another bunch of flips, and glided into the jelly bean.

"YEAH!!!! I have defeated the evil one!!!!"

Meanwhile, bhuhbuh was hanging out in the kitchen. "Let's see..." Bhuhbuh flapped his wings rapidly until he reached the top of the cabinet. "Yum! All my favourite foods! I never knew these were up here." He shoved at one of the boxes in hope that it would fall over and open up. He gave one last hard thrust on the box and walked in front of it to look it over. "Phew... .this is harder than I thought! Then again, I'm smaller than I usually am, of course."

I plopped down and sighed.

Seeing a crumb on the cabinet, he kicked it towards the box. There was a great rumble, and he looked around to see what the problem was. The box above started to teeter.

"Uh oh..." he got up and started to run, but he was too late. The box fell over on top of him with a large thud.

A few seconds later, 67_8401528 rolled out of the box. "If you wanted some food, you coulda just asked..." he mumbled.

Bhuhbuh leaped out from under the box and tackled him, and they rolled around until they fell off of the cabinet.

"AAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!" They screamed. It looked as though they were about to smack into the ground and suffer a horrible demise, when there was a strange poof of dust and they began to feel really strange. When the two of them had opened their eyes again, they were back to their original size!

Back upstairs in the laboratory, there were shards of glass everywhere.

"Hmm... so swimming in a giant enclosed jar of Mynci's Home-grown Banana Puree DOES make you return to average!" She began to pick up the exploded glass chunks. "Mrrph! Mfulfr Engraarph!" She turned around and saw that Firey_Sac was still in the other jar. "This is what I get for using you in an experiment... at least you're not playing with that filthy jelly bean any more."

She let him out of the jar that squashed him so tightly.

"Don't blame it on me! I didn't know that was a plastic jar, and plastic doesn't break as easy!" KoochieNoobus sighed, and went back to clean up.
