Let's think about how you'll read enough books to get a Book
Award. First, you have to buy about more than 500 books to even go to
the first place (400 for 2nd, and about 350 for 3rd). Let's say each book costs
800 Neopoints, but the Neopets changed the prices to a little higher price.
So, it should be a 1000 Neopoints. 500 books! That will be an outrageous price!!!
You might need to be a millionaire.
Here's some math stuff for you:
500 x 1,000
500 x 10 = 5,000 NP + 2 0s (zeros)
500 x 1,000 = 500,000 Neopoints.
That's not all folks. If you get about 50 books (which I have read them all),
the prices will get even higher! Let's say you will read like "How to be a Model",
"How to Catch a Cybunny", "How to Fly", "How to Make Your Own Pteri Plushie
Doll", etc. These books might cost like about an average of 450 Neopoints a
piece.
1. 450 x 50 = 22,500 Neopoints.
Of course, you will also have to buy more expensive books, like the "Nimmo
Joe Book" (don't read that one), "The Book of Evil", "Bitten
Book", etc. Those will cost about 5,000 - 150,000 Neopoints. An average
of 10,000 Neopoints. There should be about 500 books.
2. 22,500 + 10,000 x 500 = 5,022,500 Neopoints.
There you go. You need about 5,022,500 Neopoints to even get a First Place
Trophy in the Neopian Book Award.
That is like buying several items in the Hidden Tower. People, I am telling
you that it's okay to read books, but do you really want it that bad? I mean,
I am not complaining or anything. I just think you could help the needy or get
a Cement Mixer or something.
Personally, I have read about 40 books and I have just used up like 20,000
Neopoints already. Geesh!
There are two options for you to choose from.
1. Spend about 5,022,500 Neopoints on Books and get a flashy trophy
for your cabinet. Show-off!
2. Just save up money for items and don't care about books. (I mean
what do the books do? Who needs intelligence?)
It's okay to get GAME TROPHIES, because you need it for NP (you GET money,
not LOSE money). You get NP for playing the games. Well, it's your Neopia, you
choose it. To spend, or not to spend. That is the question. |
