Krawks - The New Want of Neopia by lilcyndaquil | |
If you haven't heard of a Krawk by now, you are either brand new, or your computer
is broken. I'm here to explain all about what we know of Krawks so far, aided
by my Krawk AquaSnap, the previous PetPet of my Shoyru Kargupi.
What's the most interesting thing about Krawks (and the hype around them at
the moment), is that Krawks are the first ever pet to be a PetPet, and a NeoPet.
I have been pelted with Neomails asking how to get one of these full-grown Krawks,
and here is the solution.
First of all, you must buy a PetPet Krawk. The prices skyrocketed once the
Krawks were made a pet, and I'm lucky that I had one much earlier. (I have written
a story about how Kargupi bought AquaSnap, called "What
a Krawk".) The only real way now of getting one of these is to
take a visit to the Trading Post. You will need to take a large wad of cash
with you (I had an offer of 200,000 Neopoints for AquaSnap!), and a lot of luck.
If you have the cash, find a reasonable offer, haggle, and hope for the best.
Once you have obtained your Krawk PetPet, you are almost ready to claim your
rare pet!
First of all, if you have four pets, this won't work. If you want more than
four pets, you have to use a different account, as I had to do. Go to your inventory,
and click on the Krawk. Give it to one of your pets which doesn't own a PetPet,
and you're almost there.
Last step! Name your Krawk! Give it a nice name, and try and do without numbers.
If you want to transform it you have to choose a name that isn't taken, so check
your chosen name in the search box. Once you have an name, go to the quick ref
screen and click on the Krawk. Enter the new name and let the transformation
begin!
You know what to do next, right? Feed the Krawk, and it will grow into a NeoPet!
The only downside is that you don't get to re-roll the pets stats, and the gender
is random.
Now sit back, bask in your triumph of having the most desired pet, and read
the next part of this article!
I'm going to explain about the personality and nature of your new pet Krawk.
Hopefully this will get you closer to your new friend!
First of all, we have Krawk Island. If you haven't read the Krawk
Neopedia article, I suggest you do now. All of these facts link to the
Krawks behaviour. First of all, why did the Krawks choose to move to the Island
now called Krawk Island? Who live on the island? Pirates of course! This links
to the fact that Krawks are mischievous, just like pirates, and will protect
possessions with their lives!
Krawks are cunning little creatures. They have more brains than they let on,
what with all their attention seeking behaviour. So never look away from your
breakfast if a Krawk is around! They are good swimmers, but prefer to stay on
land to hunt for small animals. They are also fierce fighters! Even as baby
Krawks, they are known for their courage in a fight, and if they are defending
something, they will just keep going!
I hope you can get your own Krawk, and let it join the growing population
on these very unique creatures. At the time of writing there is only 205 Krawks.
AquaSnap was the 140th, exactly. Compare it to almost 3 million Shoyrus, and
you've got a rare species! Everybody is wanting a Krawk, so you'll need a lot
of luck and cash to get one. This article should have cleared everything up
that people didn't know about Krawks. Hopefully these creatures will continue
to be as unique as ever. |
