I have been shocked by the ever-dropping prices of the snowballs in Neopia.
I can recall when I joined NeoPets last Awakening that snowballs were very rare
and hard if not impossible to find, and now you can get one for 10 NP or lower.
So what has happened to the allure of the snowball?
With winter upon us one would think that snowballs would be selling like wild
cakes in an effort to bring winter to pets all around Neopia. And with the addition
of the new edible snowballs, the popularity should have skyrocketed, but the
opposite has occurred. It's as if the abundance of snowballs has made them hated
and inevitably useless. But I believe otherwise. What could be better than smacking
your opponent in the face with a yellow snowball in the middle of a Battledome
fight? Or wondering how the yellow ones are made...
Although the majority of snowball prices have dropped, (I recently purchased
three poison snowballs for 15 NP), the sticky, icy, and stone snowballs have
somehow managed to escape the downfall. So this brings me to think "What will
happen to the new arrivals in Neopia, such as the long-awaited rainbow snowball?
Will they be accepted with high approval or shunned and added to the useless
pile along with the Pickled
Olives and Sandals from Tombola?"
We can not let the snowballs die. We can't let them be added to the retired
list, never to be renewed again. Imagine how much enjoyment would be lost in
real life if there was no such thing as a snowball fight... I personally can't
stand the possibility. And I believe that the same type of sadness would sweep
across Neopia without the constant "Hey Jimmy, why'd you throw that at me?"
Let's face it... snowballs are fun... period, and if we ever forget that then
the snowball machine, and the evil, wet, and poison snowball wands will be useless
as well. And no one would want that to happen. So tell your friends, your family...
heck, tell everyone, "WE WANT SNOWBALLS, AND WE WANT THEM NOW!" |
