The Long Lost Legend of The Lenny War

by nattieneos

Hello there, LoriaGirl the Shoyru here. I'm here today to represent Nattieneos and to read, on her behalf her Legend, titled The Long Lost Legend Of The Lenny War. For those whom are unaware of this, Legends always have a basis in fact (which means they are not complete fiction or made up) and this legend is the same. OK, here we go.

Over a century ago, NeoPets and their owners lived in peace. Most of the pets were given a large amount of freedom, except for one. The Lenny, the feathered bird NeoPet were banned from this freedom, because of their wisdom and knowledge.

Being so wise, most Neopians feared that they knew dangerous magic and may turn against them. The prospect of this frightened many Neopians so they formed an anti-lenny crusade. The founder of the Crusade was Nickel McRok, a rich rainbow acara. Nickel could offer thousands of Neopoints to members of his Crusade, so many joined just for the Money. On the 19th of Sleeping, 83 BN the crusaders charged into the NeoHome of many Lennys and took their powers away from them and then leading them away into holding camps. The Lennys lived in horrid conditions, a Bitten Apple a day and and Ant Eaten Ham on Sundays.

Most Lennys went mad in the camps, and plenty stopped eating. I said most Lennys went mad in the camps and lost their minds, but some, immensely strong Lennys stayed sane. They gathered together in one room each day and attempted to break free of their cruel imprisonment.

Day after day they worked, barely sleeping a wink. The camp guards, mostly Lupes and Skeiths were unaware of this and noticed nothing. They assumed that the Lennys were going mad like the rest, but these Lennys were not getting weaker, they were becoming stronger.

The few Lennys that were strong began to work on weaker Lennys. They talked to them and helped them, until a larger number became sane. This made the Lennys more confident of their plan and they began to revive other Lennys quicker.

After two months, all the Lennys were strong and stable. The Lenny Leader, a yellow Lenny under the name of Jousithy told the other Lennys their plan of escape. No one, except the Lennys that took part in the operation was aware of the plan, and even today we only have a vauge idea of the plan.

The Lennys took their positions in the camp at 12:02 AM on the 30th of Collecting 81 BN. The people of Neopia were going to be in for the shock of their lives!

"Charge!" Jousithy had yelled as the camp clock indicated 12:05AM. The Lennys then jumped from their positions in the camp and onto the top of the Guards, some of which were sleeping. The Guards, completly caught by surprise, twirled round to face the camp, but all was in vain for them.

The Lennys that had jumped upon them wated for a signal from Jousithy to start pecking the guards with their hard beaks. This caused the guards to become weak and start to walk idly in different directions. Smiling to their delight, the Lennys headed back into Neopia.

Once in the centre of the town they started to crow loudly. Put together this made an enormous sound. Surrounding visitors started to stir and ran to the windows of their NeoHomes, wondering what the terrible noise was. As they found out, one by the one the villagers were shocked, and terribly frightened.

On the other side of town, Nickol McRok awoke. "What the......?" he murmered sleepily. He dressed quickly and ran downstairs. As he ran out of his door, he heard screams, terrified screams of The Lennys are back! The Lennys are back! The Acara gulped nervously. If the Lennys were back, he would be the first to be punished or even exiled. He jumped onto his Buzz and raced to the centre of Neopia.

"We're free! We're free again!" cried a small Lenny. "And all thanks to Jousithy!" said another. Jousithy blushed. He stood on the top of the stage to find the whole of Neopia bowing down to him. Even Nickol McRok.

"On behalf of Neopia, We would like to apoligise for our reckless behaviour. We will never be prejudice against your kind, or any other NeoPet," a Spokeschia said. Jousithy smiled.

"On behalf of all Lennys we would like to thank Nickol McRok for changing his wrongs into rights, and setting us free." All the Lennys cheered happily. Soon the whole of Neopia were cheering, for Jousithy, for Lennys and most importantly... for freedom.

Well, there you have it, the Lost Legend of the Lenny War. A tale of a young Lenny that stood out and fought well, with determination that anyone can achieve, if they try.
