So, You Wanna Beat One Player Battledome Opponents That Have Hundreds of Hit Points by derelict | |
For those players that are starting to get high enough stats to drive away
most human opponents, fighting one player opponents are probably the primary
challenges being made. There are a few things that should to be done to successfully
defeat such opponents. I'll focus on stats, equipment, and abilities.
Stats
With the right equipment, one player opponents can be defeated with as little
as one third of what their stats are. It's probably good to have at least half
the values of their stats, though. With the prices of Codestones currently around
3500 NP each, it's cheapest to use the training camp to build stats. Negg prices
are currently too high (and they are currently rising with no end in sight)
to justify using a lot of cool Neggs. The only reason to use Cool Neggs is to
build stats at a faster rate than at the training camp (but only if the cost
isn't a problem). As far as specific stats, it's good to be at least level 50
so that the berserk attack is available. Hit points and strength are the other
two most important stats. Beyond level 50, level is only important so that the
training camp can be used to boost hit points and strength. Defence isn't too
important, and movement doesn't seem to be important at all. Other options for
building stats include using the secret lab ray and performing kitchen quests,
but don't count on these for build stats (the secret Lab Ray can even reduce
stats, so be careful).
Equipment
A method of attack and a method of healing are the primary concerns when it
comes to items. Defence items can also be useful, especially those that reflect
attacks. There are numerous attack items, which I won't go into too much detail.
Hidden tower items are definitely some of the best, but I would suggest stay
away from the Rod of Nova and Rod of Dark Nova. Single use items, like muffins,
can be very useful. Fire Muffins and Evil Muffins are probably the best buys
for the amount of damage they provide. For conventional (non-hidden tower) items,
the wand of the Air Faerie and the Grand Lightning Beam are good choices. For
healing, the only real choice is which kind of Scorchstone to get. I would recommend
purchasing a Jade Scorchstone when possible. Until then, hang around the Defence
Magic Shop until you get a blue Scorchstone or better (i.e., green,
purple, or rainbow Scorchstone). A good Scorchstone investment pays off in the
long run. The high end elemental reflection items (Combo Battle Mirror, Flame
Reflectozap, Mega U-bend, Triple Turbo Dryer, Mega U-bend, Ultimate Dark Reflectorb,
and Ultra Dual Shovel) and their hidden tower counterparts (Reflectozap 2000
and U-bend of Great Justice) can be good for opponents that have vastly more
attack strength than they do hit points (i.e., Balthazar). It's a good idea
to equip one or two of these reflection items based upon the type of elemental
damage an opponent usually does. Of course finding out the kind of damage generally
requires actually sitting through a challenge and paying attention to the damage
icons. Lastly, since the Fiery Gaze and Diamond Dust abilities are effectively
useless now, a Hypno Helmet is a worthwhile investment for freezing opponents.
Abilities
Few abilities help much, if at all. However, there is one ability that works
wonders on opponents with high hit points: Drain Life. I don't see any significant
difference using this ability with different intensities (i.e., strong, medium,
or weak), so only use it at weak intensity so that it can be used up to 10 times
per challenge. It is the 7th level dark ability, so at around level 26, buy
seven Dark Faeries and use them on the intended pet. The only other abilities
that seem to be worth getting are Restore (7th level light, acquirable around
level 26), Sink (8th level dark, acquirable around level 32), and Burrow (4th
level earth, acquirable at level 10).
So, in conclusion, keep boosting stats and get some decent weapons, a Scorchstone,
some reflection items, and the Drain Life ability. Doing this should get any
pet well on their way to defeating power one player Battledome opponents. |
