A Tale of Two Aishas: Part Two

by tomboy1083

"Reunion"
Nucomi was walking along a trail in the woods, her manicure destroyed.

"Oh, why did can't I be an only child like I used to be? Why can't Remlie have a room across from Mummy's WHY OH WHY!?" Nucomi cried out.

She was starting to get hungry...she hadn't eaten in hours. Luckily she had packed some food...she checked her bag. She got a bottle of water, a lollipop, and some fish marinade. However, she had no fish.

"What am I supposed to do? CATCH a fish? From that icky river?" Nucomi asked the air.

She decided that she had to. She got a big stick, and her army knife. She slowly shaved the stick into a spear, a quite good one at that. She took off her shoes and socks, and rolled up her pants. She got in. After, oh, fifty tries, she caught a fish. She started a fire with her "Instant-Fire Kit" she brought, and started to cook. She was an unbelievable cook. It was the moistest, most tender fish she'd ever eaten! Proud of her skill, Nucomi smiled, for the first time in weeks.

Nikcolia was just walking along the trail, enjoying the wilderness. A Pteri flew by her as she walked.

"Hello," Nikcolia said to the brown-coloured bird.

"Hi-hi... umm... my name is Chimbolo. What's your name?" the bird asked.

"I'm Nikcolia. Why are you in such a hurry, my friend?"

"Well, first, a big, mean Skeith threatened to eat me if I didn't give him my lunch money. It was my only money on hand, so i gave it to him. I was so sad. Then, a little human child pulled off one of my feathers, and it really hurt. I just flew away. So, I'm basically a fraidy-cat," Chimbolo said shamefully.

"That's okay. Inside, you're a big, strong, brave Pteri. You just have to let it show. Don't let ANYBODY ever pick on you. You can take care of yourself," Nikie said.

"Gee, thanks Nikcolia. That helped. Hey, there's a little Aisha girl that looks like you by a fire. She looks sad. Well, I gotta go! Thanks again!" Chimbolo said. He flew away, with his tail flapping.

Nikcolia continued walking, until she saw smoke coming from the woods. She was immediatly worried...What if some mean people started it? Then she remembered what Chimbolo said, and decided to find the Aisha girl. When she had walked a while, she smelled fish. A delicious smell that lured her to a big bush. She parted it and found...."NUCOMI? What, what are you doing here?"

"How'd you find me?" Nucomi asked. "Did mommy send for you? I know you're poor but..."

"A little birdie told me you were here. What are you doing here? You should be in your mansion, shouldn't you?" Nikcolia asked, in a rude tone.

"Well, I ran away from home. It's just that..." Nucomi couldn't seem to finish. Nikcolia saw the sadness in her eyes.

"What, Nucomi. You can trust me. I won't tell."

"Well, it all started..." Nucomi started her story. Pretty soon the two were laughing like old friends would. Or sisters even....

"Happiness"
Nikcolia soon noticed a purple beaded bracelet on Nucomi's hand.

"Hey, Nucomi, where'd you get that bracelet?" Nikcolia asked.

"Oh, I've had this since I was a baby. My mom say's it's one-of-a-kind." Nucomi gleamed with happiness.

"Well, Nucomi," Nikcolia pulled up her sleeve. "It's one of two. This may sound strange, but I...." Nikie paused. Nucomi would laugh at her if she told her. However, she bravely said, "I think I'm your twin. You see, I have this picture...of my sister and I. We were only a year old. We're both wearing these bracelets. She was lost when I was very young...and I haven't seen her since. And, well, I think you're her." Nikie smiled a smile as can be. It took a lot of explaining, but Nucomi finally knew it was true. Nikcolia invited Nucomi to her house to see the picture. She agreed, and asked if she could call her mother when she got there. Nikie saw no reason why not to.

Nikcolia lead Nucomi to her shared room, and Nucomi said, "You have four beds? What?"

"Well um, no. I, well, I share this room with my siblings. You think it's bad having to change rooms...I don't have my own room even!" Nikie said, sadly.

Nucomi then realised how fortunate she was. She would no longer take her life for granted. Nikcolia lead her friend to a small box, inside it held some precious stuff. Her first hair cut hair, her blue ribbon for reading, and the picture. They both then knew it. They were long lost sisters. They hugged for the first time in years.

From then on, everyone was happy. Toughtiger got a promotion and became vice president of the Paintbrush Company, and soon became wealthy. She and partygirl589 became best friends, and Nucomi and Nikcolia did, too. Jonrico fell in love with Valiya, and Remlie said her first word. Life was good. The two girls learned that as long as you have people who love you, you can be happy. And the twins soon realised that lots of people loved them.

And they all lived happily ever after!
