Dr. Sloth's army advanced quickly through the catacombs,
taking the Neopians there by storm. After destroying everything, they made their
way to the art gallery, fighting with each other over who would get in first.
Suddenly, a voice as deep as thunder silenced them all. "SHUT UP, YOU IMBECILES!!!"
Dr. Sloth screamed from the middle of the crowd. Everyone in the army knew that
since the battle of Sakhmet, Sloth was still angry and bitter over his loss.
"Don't you know the element of surprise? We creep up, take EVERYONE hostage
and wreck the place!!!" sneered Samosses, the general of the army.
"Do you want to be a pile of sludge?!" snarled Sloth to Samosses, taking everyone
by surprise.
Normally, Sloth would agree with Samosses but today Sloth seemed to be surprising
everyone. So the army went in, quietly, but to their astonishment, it was empty.
No Neopians anywhere. The army were fearing Sloth's reaction to this but he
smiled an evil smile and ordered the place was wrecked. Then he sat watched
the destruction of the only art centre in Neopia.
Toffee708 sat watching the destruction from behind the curtain. Every time
a soldier came near she held her breath but none came near the window. Suddenly
she felt a chill in the air and looked out through the hole in the worn curtains.
She saw Sloth glide over towards the window. He seemed to be looking straight
at her. Could he see her? "Did any of you numb skulled idiots think about the
curtain? They might have hidden the Aisha there!"
Oh No!!! Toffee708 knew they were looking for a golden Aisha and looking
down at her paws, realised she was golden!! Then, a hand snatched the curtain
and pulled it back. A stunned silence filled the room.
"Aaahh. What have we here? I tell you what we have here. We have.....we have.....we
have 11,000,000,000 Neopoints here right in front of us!!!" Sloth cackled.
"You leave me alone, you big....big....big bully!!" Toffee708 growled, even
though her sweet little voice squeaked.
"Do you want me to skin you while you're still alive?!" Sloth snarled at the
young Aisha, spraying saliva into her face.
"Peeeyuuhhh!! Your breath stinks!! Were you eating rotten eggs?" Toffee708
snapped defiantly. She felt a sharp pain on the ear and then she realised that
he had hit her on the ear. Sloth grabbed her by the ears and placed her in a
sack kicking and snarling.
Toffee708 woke up in a cold, damp basket. The bang of the head must have knocked
her out. She shivered, looked around for food and turned her nose up at the
sight. "Ugghh, what is that?!" she cried aloud, feeling very sick at the sight
of the brownish-green goo. "It's actually quite nice. The Grundo Chef makes
it and it's yummy," said a voice. Toffee708 squinted her eyes to see the split
Chomby staring at her. "The name's Cute_Nicky16. And you are Toffee708 right?"
Toffee708 was brought out of her daydream by the sound of his voice. "Uhh, right!"
she stammered. Suddenly, their conversation was interrupted by the sound of
footsteps. An ugly mutant Grundo appeared and lifted Toffee708's cave. "See
ya later, Hon!" Cute_Nicky16 called.
Toffee708 was brought to a TV station where she could see the mayor watching.
She heard his creaky old voice. "Dear brave NeoPet, how are you doing? We have
a bit of bad news. We don't have 11,000,000,000 Neopoints to give and we just
can't give Sloth our golden Aisha. We are sorry but we got in touch to your
owner and she has a few words." venuslovegoddess16's worried and tear-streaked
face appeared on the screen. "Oh Toffee708!! I am coming to get you!! I will
help you escape!! I will!!" But Toffee708 knew that these were just desperate
promises.
As she was walking to her cage that night, she saw a glowing bottle. A purple
light shone all around the bottle. Toffee708 opened the lid and a Dark Faerie
appeared. "Oh thank you dear NeoPet!! Can I give you something or grant a wish?"
the faerie exclaimed, obviously glad to be out.
Toffee708 thought to herself a minute and then said, " I want myself and Cute_Nicky16
to be free, back at my home in Neopia Central."
The faerie giggled and clicked her fingers. "Granted!" She laughed and disappeared
into a cloud of purple smoke.
Cute_Nicky16 and Toffee708 appeared just outside Toffee708's home. They smiled
shyly at each other and Toffee708 looked away and when she turned back, Cute_Nicky16
kissed her. "I like you!" He laughed and a door opening behind them surprised
them both. Venuslovegoddess16 rushed out and hugged them both welcoming them
both into the house. The door closed behind them and they didn't notice the
trail of green smoke floating under the crack in the door....
