Rains Memories and The Search
In a hollowed out tree a mother Zafara and her five pups were resting.
One of these pups was Rain. She was just five years old at the time. She was
very caring and loved her life in the tree with her mom, brothers and sister,
but one night this all changed....
It was around 9:00 pm. Rain was sleeping and the rest were awake.
"Rain! Wake up!" her brother Chewy cried.
"*Yawn* What is it?"
"Rena, Comeo, Justin, they're all gone!"
"Destroyed! My brothers, sister, how?!"
"Some Lupes got them! They got Mom too! We've gotta make a run for it!"
"OK!"
Rain was shocked. She was torn apart by the defeats and almost wanted to
follow the fate of the others, but she knew that that would upset Chewy very
much. She followed him outside. It was quiet, strange. They slowly made their
way to the edge of the forest.
"Phew! I guess were safe!" Chewy said. A huge paw swiped him to the ground,
the Lupes! One of them was a black Lupe with a red bandana around his neck.
The other two she couldn't quite remember....
"Run sis, run!" cried Chewy.
She took his advice, she ran, she ran top speed about half a mile until
she collapsed, partly out of tiredness, partly because of the cold, but mostly
because she was depressed. Her siblings, her mom, how come only she survived?
Maybe it was fate, maybe it was luck, maybe a little of each.
A black Chia found her and nursed her back to health. About eleven years
later the Chia, known as Seth, started working with a black Lupe After that
Seth started teaching her "special" abilities. One night she heard about a book.
About one year later she heard some workers found the book but had dropped it
in a canyon! The next day Seth asked Rain to trick a dumb Lupe into getting
the book out of the canyon and then giving it to her. She would then convince
the Lupe to go into the Ice Caves, never to return. Rain would then bring the
book back to Seth. Just then a blue Chia came in and asked, "Ummm, Cypress-Man
is a black Lupe, right?"
"*Sigh* Yes, he's wearing a black bandana around his neck, and it's Cypriain,
and don't fire a warning laser this time, aim right at him!"
"Yes sir!"
The Chia left the room.........
End of Flashback
"...and I did just that, I tricked Rome."
"Well, that explains some things, but the important thing now is to get that
book!" Rome said.
"I'll keep track of events, Rome, you can follow the scent and Rain, if you
hear anything, tell us," Lunar directed them.
They set off right away. After about fifty days of traveling, they started
to get really, really, really, really, really, tired. When they stopped to rest
they fell asleep.
"Rain, Wake up!"
She slowly opened her eyes to see a spotted Zafara, Chewy!
"*Yawn* What is it?"
"Rena, Comeo, Justin, their all gone!"
"Destroyed?! My brothers, sister, how?!"
"Some Lupes got them! They got Mom too! We've gotta make a run for it!"
"OK!"
She followed Chewy outside. It was very quiet. That was strange. When they
got to the edge of the forest Chewy said, "Phew! I guess we're safe!" All of
a sudden a huge paw swiped him to the ground! The Lupes were here! There were
three of them. One was black and was wearing a red bandana around his neck.
He looked about twelve years old. The second one was silver, she looked around
four. The other she couldn't quite make out.....
"Run sis, run!" Chewy cried. She took his advice. She ran until she could
hardly breathe....
Rain sat up shaking. Sweat was dripping down her forehead, tears were in he
eyes. Why had she dreamt that dream? She had never before, why now? She pulled
herself together and woke up the others.
"Come on! We've gotta get going!"
The others agreed and they set off. Rome followed the scent and the others
followed until they came to an ocean.
"Well!" Rain said impatiently.
"The scent goes here, and then it stops..." Rome replied.
"That's weird," Lunar said.
"Wait, I know where to go from here," Rain cut in. "Seth taught me the ability
Dimensional Vortex, which is what he used."
"You mean he went through a vortex to another dimension?!" Rome exclaimed.
"Sounds like it," Lunar answered.
Rain used the ability Dimensional Vortex and a swirling vortex appeared in
front of them. Rain hopped in, than Lunar and Rome hopped in just before it
closed.
All of them found themselves in a strange place, basically it was a bunch of
floating islands. They all arrived in different places. Rome found himself on
a large piece of land.
