Doomsday Rider: Part One by yugo149 | |
Hello, readers across Neopia. This is the story of a brave Shoyru, who braved
the oncoming onslaught, however this story is set in the future. It is also
told from the Shoyru's eyes. And so, without further ado, Doomsday Rider, Part
One.
"Doomsday_Rider, wake up, Rider," Yugo said. I was freezing my butt off. I
had just emerged from my fire hot egg, and now I was in the cool Neopian morning
air.
"But I'm f-f-f-f-f-freezing!" I complained.
"Don't worry, little brother, you'll get used to it," said a mutant Techo.
"And my name is SuperContra, this Grarrl is Jungalizard, and this Lupe is Final_Boss,
but we just call him F.B. for short. And our owner is yugo149." I was only 0
hours old then, but now I'm 89 hours old.
"Rider, Contra, Junga, F.B., it's time to eat!" Yugo called. I raced for the
kitchen, but I had to go down some stairs, so I decided to glide. I can't fly
yet, I can just glide. I glided from the top of the stair case, to my chair
at the kitchen table. Just above my chair, I adjusted my wings so I would land
in my chair. I landed on my butt on the linoleum floor.
"Oof! Ow, that hurt. I need A LOT of glide training," I said, rubbing
where I landed.
"I know what you mean," SuperContra said as he walked to the table. We all
sat down and ate dinner.
***
After dinner, we all sat down in our backyard. Yugo told us the legends of
the "Triangle of destiny", and the Jadestone. I listened intently, and after
a while, my curiosity got the better of me. Later that night, when everybody
was asleep, I climbed on the roof and glided to Mystery Island, where the Jadestone
is said to be hidden. After exploring the land for a while, I found a hidden
cave on the northern shore. I cautiously entered it. After a walk of about 3
miles, I came across a maze. It took me 13 hours to escape. When I emerged from
the rear of the maze, I noticed a ladder leading up a vertical wall.
"Oh great," I said, and began climbing it. When I reached the top, I saw
another wall just barely in my gliding distance. I knew the new world would
be emerging soon, and that's why I had to get the Jadestone. I glided across
to the other wall. Then, I saw a path leading down to a wall. I followed it,
and before too long, I found a hidden cave covered in shadows. About halfway
through the hidden cave, I started to hear heavy breathing, and what sounded
like an explosion. I was starting to get a little paranoid. Unfortunately, my
curiosity kept driving me further into the cave. When I reached the end of the
cave, I saw a dead end, but I kept hearing the breathing, and some explosions.
"It's close, I know that, but how do I get past this wall?" I asked myself.
On the wall, I noticed a bunch of cracks, almost like this wall was ready to
collapse at any moment. I decided to help it out. I went back a little bit,
and then charged at the wall, and busted it down. I saw an amazing room, and
I found out the explosions were coming from the floor beneath this one, I know
this because there was a glass floor under me. Whatever was causing the explosions
was just underneath the top floor. Also, I saw a Kyrii on the floor shooting
up at the beast with a Neopian sniper. I saw a few bullet holes in the glass
floor. In a hidden cave above me about 7 feet was what looked like an emerald.
Could it be the Jadestone? No. It was just an emerald. Not what I came for.
"JB-303, I made you, and I'll break you!" The Kyrii said.
"Don't make me laugh, Evanda! You're only a girl, and I am 20 times your size,"
JB-303 said. Evanda grit her teeth, and shot at JB-303 some more, and then,
JB-303 shot a series of bullets at her, she fell down, unconscious, and her
gun and a mysterious green stone fell from her arms.
"That's the Jadestone," I quietly said to myself. I jumped down to the
floor, picked up the sniper, aimed it at JB-303's eye, and shot. He fell from
the ceiling down to the floor and exploded on contact. When JB-303 exploded,
one of his mechanical pieces sliced into my shoulder and pierced the wall. Evanda
regained consciousness while I was examining the Jadestone.
"Hey, you. Who are you, and why are you looking at the most valuable gem in
Neopia?" Evanda asked.
I glared at her. "My name is Doomsday_Rider, and I've been searching for this
gem, may I have it?" I asked her.
"Maybe," She said, shrugging. "But you have to do something for me, first."
"Oh great," I said. She grinned evilly.
"What you have to do is..." She said, trying to build the suspense, I guess.
"Find my boyfriend."
"That's it?" I asked.
"Yes," She said. My jaw dropped. I was surprised, obviously. "He got lost
somewhere in the second maze. I couldn't find him on my own."
"No problem," I said. I climbed a ladder, and glided over the maze, and dropped
near a green Kyrii. "Do you know Evanda?" I asked him.
"How do you know Evanda?" he asked me, gritting his teeth.
"She asked me to find you," I said.
"Oh," He said. "Do you know how to get out of here?"
"Yes I do...err...what's your name?" I asked.
"My name is Chao," he replied. He glared at me cautiously.
"My name is Doomsday_Rider, but everybody calls me Rider," I told him, and
all he did was eye me suspiciously.
He sighed deeply. "Whatever, let's just get out of here," he said. The entire
maze was cracked beyond belief. I turned toward where I had come from, grabbed
Chao's wrist, and charged at the wall as fast as I could. I bashed through all
the walls, including the last one, and reunited Chao and Evanda.
"Okay, Doomsday_Rider, you can have the giant gem." Evanda said, with an odd
twinkle in her eye.
"Right..." I said, walking over to the Jadestone. I picked it up, and headed
back for the entrance to this cave.

"Where were you all day, Rider?" Yugo asked me when I walked in the door at
about 7 pm.
"Uh... getting the Jadestone," I said, Yugo taught us never to lie. All
he did was stare at me with an eyebrow raised, then he burst out laughing.
"Neopets these days have such active imaginations!" Yugo shouted in between
laughs.
"But Yugo, it's true," I said, pulling the Jadestone from behind my back and
showing it to him, and SuperContra, who happened to be walking by at the time.
Yugo's jaw dropped.
"Rider, there's a second part of the legend, one that I never told you because
I never taught you'd find the Jadestone," Yugo said, suddenly sounding
serious...try saying that five times fast. Or better yet... "The second part
of the legend is that once the Jadestone has been taken from the Gem Cave, utter
destruction would befall Neopia." My jaw dropped.
"Utter destruction?" I asked, surprised. Yugo simply nodded his head.
"It is said the utter destruction would befall Neopia 5 days after the removal
of he Jadestone. Once this utter destruction arrives, there's only one way to
defeat it, send it back to where it came from. My father said it would come
from a distant planet called Phoenicia. And it's power is said to be so strong
it is almost invincible. So, Rider, you may have brought about the destruction
of Neopia. You're going to need some help defeating this army, I'll call psychodogg
and tell him to send over Boomdogg, MechaLupe_II, Lupress11, and Lexington47."
"I'll only need Boomdogg's help," I said. However, I had no idea how wrong
I was...
To be continued...
Next time in Doomsday Rider...
Our hero goes in search of Evanda and Chao to see if they want to help him defeat
the oncoming threat to Neopia. But wait! The invaders are drawing nearer. What
are you going to do now, Rider?
"I don't know," I said, my eye twitching.
Things are really heating up!
