So you like the Battledome but you just can't seem to save up any Neopoints.
You always see these rare items that cost heaps and you wonder how you will
ever win. Well, you don't need heaps of Neopoints to fight a good battle in
the Battledome. I am going to go over some basic items to use in the Battledome
that will help you win some battles.
Item: Improved Lightning Beam
Cost: 800-1100 NP
Description: This lightning beam is for more powerful than the basic one.
Reasons for use: The improved lightning beam used to cost about 650-800 Neopoints.
Though it has raised some. It has raised some because of what a great weapon
it is! The improved lightning beam does fire and light damage. Many people like
to use double improved lightning beam as their main attack. It isn't a bad choice
but for this article I am suggesting to go with one.
Item: Dirty Snow
Cost: 800-1100 NP
Description: Ugh! What did they put in this?! Keep the jar closed; it stinks!
Reasons for use: I really like this item. I kept it until I reached stats of
35! It was always a good item to use. It does ground and ice damage. It is a
very tough combo to block. It also blocks any ground or ice damage, hard to
block damage. The reason it was so useful to me was because I could attack with
it while blocking some of the opponents attack. Too many people forget defence
is just as important as offence. This combines them both.
Item: Fire Snow
Cost: 1200-1500 NP
Description: A fiery snowball?! You better believe it! --And don't try to handle
it out of the jar...
Reasons for use: This item used to cost around 800 NP. Though, people must have
started to realise how helpful it was so the price has risen. It attacks with
fire and light damage. It blocks dark and fire damage. The reason it is helpful
is because it can block some of the damage from improved lightning beams. The
only thing I don't like about it is that it does the same type of damage as
improved lightning beam. So I would suggest avoiding using this and the improved
lightning beam together. Though, if your opponent seems set on using an improved
lightning beam you will probably want to use this to stop some of that damage.
I also have the same saying for this as the dirty snow, people forget how defence
is just as important as offence.
Item: Slime Potion
Cost: 4250-4650 NP
Description: The Slime Potion will restore your pet ten hit points, but it can
only be used once per battle.
Reasons for use: The most expensive item I suggest using. This item also used
to be down near 3500 NP but has risen lately. The main reason I have this here
is because if you are going to win battles you are going to need to recover
HP.
Items to avoid:
There are some certain items that I suggest avoiding. Right away I am going
to say almost all one time use items. All they do is waste money. Sure, they
are pretty good but do you want to waste 2000-3000 NP just to win 1 battle?
Though, it is probably OK to equip one one time use item. The only reason you
would use it would be for emergencies only! If your only hope would be to tie
would be an example of a time to use one. If you have an easy win coming on
you would want to save the item for next battle. Some other items to avoid are
all NeoPet specific items. Like for instance the Gelert
Helm. The item that only a certain species can use isn't good at all.
Avoid them at all costs.
Stats:
Since I am talking about the Battledome stats are quite the important thing.
The only thing I have to say is raise your stats equally. Also, speed is a useless
stat in the Battledome. In the future it may have some use, but for now speed
isn't any good so don't bother raising speed. By having equal stats means to
have all of your stats within 3 of each other. If your stats are like that then
you are good to go.
That just about wraps up my article. The 4 items should cost you around 7600
Neopoints. That is very cheap. You will also be a contender in every battle
you fight then. The reason I suggested only 4 items is because as you battle
you will see some items/combos you like and want to use. To finish up my article
