Arti’s Boring Neohome – One day, when you were picking berry’s, this strange thing
called Bit of Barbed Wire Berry appeared! Okay, so it wasn’t exactly a berry…
You probably tried to sell it, or you donated/threw it away.
But a lot Neopians overlook the features, a Bit of Barbed Wire has.
Me and my pets went out, to research the so-called ‘Junk’ items in Neopia.
First we went to a shop, and bought a Bit of Barbed Wire for 1 Neopoint. Whoopee!
We also went to buy a Piece of Wool, Old Boot and a Pile of Dung!
The Bit of Barbed Wire
After a little fight, we had finally decided who could research this strange
piece of metal. Everyone. We then did a couple of tests, like “Opening locked
Chests” and “Opening your own door with a Bit of Barbed Wire” also known as
OLCAOYODWBBW.
Research 1: The Bit of Barbed Wire adventures.
The Bit of Barbed Wire was taken upstairs, to the almighty attic of junk, dust
and coughs.
We then found the almighty chest of lockedness, and stuck the Bit of Barbed
Wire in.
It took a while, but the chest opened. The Bit of Barbed Wire could be one
of the items a Thief could own.
Another test, was to go outside and open your own Neohome door with a Bit of
Barbed Wire. As my Kiko pet, Karemeko was trying to reach the lock, some other
pets and owners came to look at our little test. After a while, Cyanbunnyer
stole the Bit of Barbed Wire and stuck it into the lock of our door.
This test took way longer then the one with the Chest, and we thought the Barbed
Wire could not open doors. Then Cyanbunnyer kicked it, and the door smashed
me in the face. So it took a little while before we could continue.
The Bit of Barbed Wire is an perfect item for Thieves and for people who were
crazy enough to forget/lose/ their keys to their Neohome.
Pros: Handy when you lost your keys and you can open locked treasure
chests; they are cheap!
Cons: They are sharp so they can hurt you. People can poke you with
it when you are Super Annoying.
Piece of Wool
Whew, we finally finished the Barbed Wire Research, and we can continue with
the Piece of Wool! Gee, how should more Pieces of Wool be called, Pieces of
Wool or Piece of Wool’s?
Research 2: The Piece of Wool’s adventures!
It’s Piece of Wool’s! Yes! And now, let me show you our Tests.
We tried making a shirt of the Piece of Wool, but it was too small, so we gave
Cyanbunnyer’s petpet the shirt. The Petpet squeaked happily, so we thought the
Piece of Wool was an excellent material to make clothes with. As 1992_ and Senny_Songs
went out to buy 'some' (100) Piece of Wool’s. And then, I made a T-shirt. How
exciting. So anyway, I had hurt myself and my fingers while making the T-shirt,
but when I put it on, it felt incredibly soft.
So, when my pets tried it, they said the same. And our first test had been
completed.
Now, we started thinking. Are these items really junk? We still had 2 items
to go.
We then continued with the second test with the Piece of Wool. This test was
called: Can you use Piece of Wool’s to make a Campfire? We went outside, locked
the door, and looked for Bit’s of Barbed Wire. When we couldn’t find a single
one, we went to the forest.
We searched an open field, and when we found one, we also found some stones.
We laid down one Piece of Wool, and then with a stone and a stick, we made a
fire. It was burning alright, and it was burning pretty decent too. It was actually
a small flame, but it was warm enough to roast Ghost Marshmallows. But after
a short 5 minutes, the flame became smaller. And then there was no flame anymore!
So it wasn’t one of the best materials for a campfire.
That brings us to an end for the Piece of Wool’s… When we came back home, I
opened our Safety Deposit Box and deposited all our remaining Piece of Wool’s
(46).
Pros: The Piece of Wool’s are an excellent material to make clothes,
they are soft, this Wool isn’t expensive.
Cons: You need a lot of Wool to make a shirt, you can’t use it to make
a campfire, u cant opn tresur tsjest wit it (Oh... My Zafara did that!)
Look out! Old boots are coming!
These boots are cheap, used and old, but have a new ventilation system! This
new system is called: A hole in the nose of your boot. And I think that more
Piece of Wool should be Pieces of Wool, not Piece of Wool’s. I’m really great
at ruining fun, aren’t I? Pleaze neomal uz if u tink se is relly grea a ruing
fun. *Erm... Maybe I should have wrote this article with a pencil instead of
a pen*
Research 3: The Old Boots: Revolutions
We are now going to test the comfortness of these boots.
The boots were (luckily) too small for me, so my pets had to try them.
My Zafara, 1992_ liked it, mainly because of the new Ventilation system. Karemeko
just stared at me with the “You are so idiotic, stupid and dumb look”. Then
I figured out why – He couldn’t wear boots. So he was lucky too.
Cyanbunnyer didn’t like the shoes; she couldn’t jump very high anymore. Yeah,
she also thought they were ugly.
So that was test number one. We will now go to test number two! The Anti-Smelly
Feet test.
I cleaned up the boots, and it looked a lot better. I went to the marketplace,
with 1992_ and Cyanbunnyer. 1992_ was wearing the boots and was really enjoying
them. I also noticed there was no smelly… Smell. So that brings us to another
good thing and another end! Just hang in there! There is one item left!
Pros: They have a new Ventilation system, they help against smelly feet,
they are free!
Cons: Cybunnies can’t jump very high, a lot of Neopets may not like the color,
you need to clean them, it can rip off your fishing line.
All your Pile of Dung’s belong to us
Yes! I am the leader of the Dung Army, and I will take over Neopia and – oh…
wrong story…
Research 4: Lord of the Dung
Okay… so we now had to do a test with dung. I was out of idea’s, but unfortunately,
my pets are smarter than me. And I had to do the test.
Their plan? Plants grow healthy when they absorb the Dung. Gross, Eh? So you
get the idea what I had to do.
When I was done, I ran inside, and washed my hands… Did you expect something
else?
So, now we had to wait. We waited an hour, another hour, another hour, and
some more hours. We managed to save our lives by blinking! And then we got tired
and went to bed. It was around 7 PM NST.
There was nothing in our Neogarden, but after 2 weeks, more and more healthy
plants showed up. And I was once again… err… happy. So that was the first test.
Then, no one knew what our second, and last test should be. Some freakish idea
were suggested, like trying to open a door with dung.
But then, we had an idea. We were going to give all the dung to the Dung Faerie,
and get a lot of Neopoints! We bought a lot of Pile of Dung’s, dumped them somewhere
in the garden, washed our hands and paws and went to sleep. When we woke up,
all the dung was gone, and was replaced by… A huge crowd of people. And they
had stolen all OUR Neopoints.
Okay, so calling the Dung Faerie wasn’t the best idea, but it sure was great
to be “famous” for a little while. And now, for the best thing you ever heard…
Its almost, yes almost, the end of this article. Just allow me to write the
Pros, and the Cons.
Pros: Plants grow healthy, and again, it’s cheap! You can also make
a lot of money with it... *Cough*
Cons: It smells, you have to wash your hands, it attracts lots of unwanted
invaders, and it smells! Really!
And now…
This is the end of this article. I really hope you enjoyed reading, and I really
think it is Pieces of Wool! Bye! This is Arti, not live from her Neohome, signing
out!
