Kass' Minion Meeting
As we left off, Sunny had just beaten up the school
bully to get to The Neopian Times. Everyone isn't very sure of how to take this
in, but as she arrives home she gets a rude awakening from her owner… a.k.a.
Mom.
"Grounded!?" I shouted as Ally began shuffling
her tentacles around in displeasure. "But why!?"
We were in my mom's office which was very
large so my voice echoed a bit. The room was off a hallway from the living room.
My mom wrote down a note in her scheduler. "Initial it please." She commanded,
pointing her pen down at the journal. I looked around the Dark wood room as
I sat in a small red velvet chair. My owner sat in a humongous red chair with
a candle next to her. She popped her knuckles as I wrote my name very large.
Seconds later Fire and Fuzzy busted into
the office, screaming at the top of their lungs. But it wasn't any normal screaming.
It was laughing. Mom and I gaped at this sight as if it was more rare then a
billion Neopoints. They giggled as they walked over to mom and put their arms
around each other. "Well, we're gonna go and have fun!" they managed to say,
chuckling in between every other word. Ally looked even more displeased now.
"Ally, you may leave now," my mom commanded
as I sat in the chair with The Neopian Times clutched in my hand.
Ally left silently, making no notion to
get a hold of me later. I supposed I could talk to her tomorrow at Neoschool.
Mom turned my head to face her as she began speaking to me. "You didn't even
buy the breakfast!" she yelled, now standing up and holding my cheeks together.
I couldn't say anything, and when I tried, my lips vibrated with effort. She
sat back down, letting go of my face and popped her knuckles again.
I looked over at my mom's clock. Noon;
It would be too late to go to Mystery Island or anywhere else. "Now, no reading,
no staying up past 6 o'clock NST, no playing with Oink, no leaving your room
unless I direct you to, no SPEAKING or looking at your brother or sister, no
leaving the house AT ALL, and finally, this week I have requested that all your
teachers give you plenty of extra homework," she finally finished her speech.
She had grabbed my shirt collar and brought
me up into my room, grabbing all my books except for the books inside my Backpack.
She grabbed Oink and left the room. It was very bare now, without any books.
My mom came into the room with a piece of yellow paper that now read:
Your Homework that you are required to
do over the next week:
Language~ Pages 1-348 out of your Grammar
book and Pages 28-60 out of your Language book.
Spelling~ Rewrite the entire spelling book
with fifty words of your own. Science~ essay on the differences between farming
turnips and farming potatoes.
Potion brewing~ a bottle of Chia Happiness
forever or a 3 page essay on how to make it, what effects it has, and what professions
use it.
Gym~ an essay on Snow Wars and how it began.
Art~ Draw a picture of an Ixi (painted
whatever color). Please use colors. Geography~ picture of each landmass, label
each part of it, and also include some of the main monuments and wonders found
there.
Math~ Make up three fraction problems and
figure them out
I sighed deeply and took out my books,
beginning the easiest one which would be Art. I pencil whisked about the page
as I drew the Ixi. It was a Halloween Ixi, the wings from its back seemed larger
then I wanted them to be. I finished the drawing and began coloring it, skimming
across the page with a dark red colored pencil. I finished and blew off all
the eraser shavings and pencil parts from it. Setting it down, I looked at it
again and pulled out another piece of paper, this time taking my time on it.
I drew a picture of my family with Fire and Fuzzy beaming broadly at my owner
and me in the corner with Oink.
I laid down my homework on the ground, figuring
I could do one thing a day because eight assignments weren't that difficult.
Again, I looked up at the ceiling and lay my head down upon my pillow. I found
the book again. My owner must've taken it up already. Felt inside my pillowcase,
but nothing. I lifted up my pillow, no book. I decided it wasn't worth the wait
so I laid my head back down to the screaming of Fuzzy.
**********
I awoke the next morning to find my room pitch-black and dark. I snapped my
fingers and lit my candle; I sat on my bed and looked outside the small window.
It was pouring outside as I looked up. Suddenly, mom came into the room. She
was so much larger then I that she hit her head on the ceiling in my room. I
looked over at her and moaned for a moment. "Just take a break sweetie." She
said in her misty voice, much different then what she had used on me. I sighed
and signaled her out of my room. Obediently, she left quickly. Suddenly an idea
popped into my head. I grinned evilly as I walked over to my lonely dresser
in the corner of the room. I pulled out a raincoat and a large book.
"Good bye, family!" I hollered, unlatching
the window. I leapt up to the window and crawled out of it into the hammering
rain and the howling wind.
**********
Turns out I couldn't last very long on my own. I had left on Sunday night and
returned Wednesday afternoon. All I had done was wander around Neopia just to
see the sights. When I returned back to my mansion of a house, my mom didn't
flip out, but lifted my punishment. "Go upstairs and say hi to the duo!" She
said with a grin from ear to ear. I went up the first flight of stairs and over
to the twerps room, which was surrounded by headless plushies.
Opening the door I saw the two sleeping,
Fire on the top bunk, Fuzzy on the bottom. The room was painted pink with blue
polka dots. They had fire or six dressers filled with clothes and Fuzzy had
a special yellow dresser that held her plushies. She was always buying them
so the plushie war could always rage onward. The lighting was just an overhead
lamp, the bunk bed was colored yellowed with blue blankets and pillows.
I crept over to the bunk bed, tapping Fire
with a wet paw. "ynnus! er'uoy kcab!" he yelled.
"Yes, I know I'm back Fire, don't worry.
Now go back to bed," I replied in a hushed voice.
"Yako," he replied in his alien language.
I stepped down from the ledge I was on
and kissed Fuzzy, who woke up with plushies all over her. "Sunny! You're back!"
Fuzzy said; she had the same reaction as Fire without the alien lingo thing…
"I know, quiet down. I brought you a plushie!"
I hissed at her, holding out an Aisha Dancer plushie I had bought for her while
I was out. She squeezed it then fell quietly asleep again.
I left the room and went up to my room,
which I completely gaped at. My room was painted sky blue while I was away and
had two new pearl white side tables next to it. A brand new yellow bed leapt
out at me along with a place for Oink to sleep, a new transpara shelf for my
books, a larger window, posters, a new dresser for all my clothes, and 10 candles
to place wherever I pleased. I began decorating swiftly; grabbing the candles
and placing them exactly were I wanted them to be.
I beamed from ear to ear at my new room.
Suddenly my mom called all of us downstairs, probably to look at some stupid
thing like a Battledome item or something.
I headed down towards the office as quickly
as possible as Fuzzy and Fire stormed down the stairs like a wild pack of Kau.
I sat in one of the office chairs as she pointed to a newspaper article in the
Daily Neopian Times, gasping deeply and throwing the paper at me. I looked at
it in surprise.
Kass Calls his Minions
Kass is now calling all who wish to follow him! Anyone who
wants to become part of the greatest army on Neopia please come to the meeting
at the Darigan Citadel at exactly 12:00 PM NST. The meeting will begin at 1:00
PM and refreshments and food will be served afterwards. Be there or be square!
A Notice from Darigan Incorporated, Signed by Lord Kass at
approximately 2:57 PM NST, Tuesday during the Month of Hunting.
Mom had gotten so worked up, but she new
she had to do something. "Fire, Fuzzy, Sunny, we've got to go to this thing,"
she said, still breathing deeply. Fuzzy shuffled her feet while I grabbed the
newspaper and threw it in the office garbage.
"So we'll go then, Mom," I said, bravely looking out the window at the trees
in our yard swaying quickly. "Don't worry, we'll go."
To be continued…
