The Best Adventure Spots in Neopia: Faerieland by neo_star_queen | |
HEALING SPRINGS - Hello adventurers! Today Neofaerie and I have climbed up the
10,000 foot staircase made of cloud all the way to Faerieland!
Unfortunately, we didn't see the magical floating clouds behind the bottom of
the staircase that would carry you up… oh well, exercise is good for you! Right?
We were both sort of tired after our climb, so we went to the Rainbow Fountain,
but the Fountain Faerie kicked us out for getting mud in the pool… so then we
came here, to the Healing Springs. The Healing Springs Faerie is nicer anyway!
No, wait, she's kicking us out now, too… how about we just get started on the
guide?
Garon's Faerie Caves: After having successfully gotten through the
Ice Caves, Garon was bored again. He asked the Faerie Queen to give him the
most challenging adventure that she could think up. The Faerie Caves are a result
of the combined magical powers of each of the different elemental faeries (light,
fire, dark, air, earth, water). Maze-like, dangerous, and full of traps, this
is an adventuring spot for only the more experienced adventurers. It's extremely
dangerous in here! Not to mention cold. And freezing, and chilly, and bitter…
why is it so cold in here, anyway? Sort of smells funny, too… must be faerie
breath. Skill Level: 6-9
Hidden Tower: If you walk along the Faerieland castle with your arms
out, you will eventually come across what appears to be a large, invisible stone
wall. Go around it, and you'll find an invisible door, which will lead to a
visible stone staircase, which will lead to the visible "Hidden
Tower! Or you could do it the hard way like me, and accidentally walk right
into the wall and fall unconscious for about half an hour. Either way works.
Once inside, you are free to explore, and there is only one major danger to
look out for: Fyora. Make sure she doesn't catch you! It's okay, she doesn't
run very fast; her dress is too long. She doesn't know how to fly either, she
just pretends. Her wings are too small for her. Skill Level: 3-6
Jhudora's Cloud:
I can't believe you did one of Illusen's
Quests!!!
Hmmm… alright, maybe we won't go there today… but usually, Jhudora's
Cloud is murky, smelly, dark, gloomy, stinky and cold. Jhudora is evil and
easily angered, and if you fail to complete one of her quests she has horrible
punishments waiting for you. However, if she's not there (which is rare), it
would be an excellent opportunity for you to do a bit of poking around and see
what she's doing with all those items... I really wouldn't want to go there,
but I can't speak for everyone, I guess. Skill Level: 4-9. Depends on
Jhudora's mood that day. Or if she's even home.
Faerie Castle: This is where the royal Faerie family lives! It is very
heavily guarded, so you'll have to think of a way to get in. To make that easier
for you, Neofaerie and I tested out a bunch of different ways:
1. Dress yourself up like a faerie and sneak in (it works alright; Neofaerie
got in fine, but unfortunately the guards did not like my Palm Fan wings. I
personally thought they were the coolest wings ever). 2. Challenge the guards
to a Battledome match (bad, bad idea. Don't even know why I tried it.
It's lucky the Healing
Springs let us back in). 3. Sneak in through the open window in the back
(worked like a charm. I probably should have done this first).
So after you have successfully entered the castle (or gave up and went back
home), there is plenty to do. The good thing for beginners is that since Faerieland
is so well protected, there is no real danger to look out for except for those
suspicious faeries. For us intermediate and expert adventurers, we like a little
danger to make things exciting, and we can be pretty hard to scare! And I did
not just see a Spyder. Nope. No Spyders here. Skill Level: 2-4
Endless Fields of Clouds: Faerieland is, in essence, a bunch of pretty
white clouds stuck relatively close together. Yes, there are beautiful faeries,
miraculous magic and amazing tales, but in the end Faerieland is just a bunch
of fluffy clouds. So where better in Faerieland to explore than on top of all
the clouds? It's relaxing and very safe; a perfect spot for beginners. Skill
Level: 2-4
Although Faerieland is safe, fluffy and very pink, there are still a few things
you would do best to keep in mind while adventuring here:
- Never, never, never insult the faeries about their hair or clothes.
Never. They may seem kind and sweet and able to take a few style tips, but they
aren't. Never. In fact, don't insult the faeries at all. Never.
- Don't make bets at the Poogle
Racetrack, because whoever you vote for is sure to lose. You don't want
to upset the poor Poogles, do you?
- Don't stick your head out and lean out of the Hidden Tower. Trust me on
this one, I've fallen out 4 times and counting. Oh, and I've been pushed out
once by Fyora. I think she was mad at me. D'you think she was mad at me?
- Be careful while you're hopping from cloud to cloud, because it's very easy
to fall off, and then you will plummet all the way back to Neopia. That would
be pretty fun, but think of all the stairs you would have to climb after!
- When you go up to Faerieland, take the stairs. That way Neofaerie and I
won't feel bad. Or you could take the magical floating clouds, but don't say
I didn't warn you when you suddenly gain a lot of extra weight!
- Don't linger around the Employment
Agency waiting for a basic job. There are none. They don't add more every
10 minutes. Maybe it's just me. D'you think it's just me? Faerieland hates me,
doesn't it?

dark, gloomy, stinky- wait, I'm describing Jhudora's cloud. Read next time for
