Fashionable Neopia by choclated | |
NEOPIA CENTRAL - After strolling through the busy streets of Neopia, I was
horrified to see the state of clothing in Neopia Central. Pets had clashing,
miss-matched, and just plain ugly clothes. And so now, I, your fashion guru,
will take you through the crowds of famous Neopians and point out the dos and
don'ts of the fashionable world.
The Month of Eating, or April as I prefer to call it, is a season for cheery
and flowery colours. This April however, the in colours are purple, green, and
yellow. The most obvious passionate purple lover in Neopia, is Fyora of course!
Not only is her entire castle purple but that stunning dress, but her violet-coloured
hair and butterfly wings are an outstanding example of high-class fashion in
Neopia. However, there is such thing as going overboard, and so if Fyora wants
to make it to number one, she ought to lose the overly done-up look, meaning
her purple eye shadow and lipstick have to go. Straying away from one solid
colour to another 'in' colour is advice someone ought to tell her.
This brings us to our next purple fanatics. The Dark faeries all love the
colour purple, and so they are all fashionable this month. Their purple, unlike
Fyora's, is not over bearing, which creates, a nicer, cleaner purple passion.
Not to mention the purple is dark and doesn't make them stand out or seem like
they are trying too hard to fit in. Jhudora however, tops all other dark faeries.
With the green in her hair and nails, she incorporates two 'in' colours, and
makes her the "Colour Queen" of the month.
Illusen on the other hand, tried to be trendy with her leafy green outfit,
but had terribly orangish-redish hair, and so doesn't end up making either the
in or out list. Perhaps she ought to paint her hair another colour and she too,
could end up being a colour queen of the month.
Now just because a colour isn't an 'in' color doesn't make it a bad choice
to wear. But the out colours this month are orange, grey, red, and black. This
now brings us to the worst-dressed Neopians.
The first terribly dressed Neopian actually has an alibi to excuse her shabby
clothing. The Grey Faerie is this poorly dressed creature. Her hair is grey,
her dress is grey and her wings are grey. The colour grey has been an out colour
for quite a while now, and so, I wonder why she doesn't go shopping?
Then there is Sloth. He's been wearing the same black clothes for quite some
time now. Maybe it's time to change to a butter yellow, or even a forest green.
I suppose this villain is kept in the shadows and is obviously not aware of
his major fashion flaws. I suppose he makes up for that with that green skin
of his. However, it makes him look more sickly than trendy!
As a beautiful Island Usul, that is always dressed appropriately, I came across
a horrible sight. A poor Blumaroo was wearing all the wrong colours. His skin
was orange and he wore a red and black cape. This Blumaroo is more commonly
known as Count Von Roo. I gasped with disbelief at the sight of him, and wished
that no one would have the same fate as him, of being the month's worst-dressed
Neopian. However, as each month goes by and trends fly by, there will be others
who need a major clothing overhaul, and so don't fret if you are or dress like
this Neopian. Just put on another color and maybe yours will come back in style
in a month or two.
Now that I've covered the basics of this month' trends, it's time to dig deeper
into fashion 101. Not only are there 'out' colours, but there are out types
of clothing. Suits, ties, bowties, are not good April clothes. The Skeith at
the National Neopian, Nigel the Chia and 00 Hog are all out of fashion. Not
only are they all wearing suits, but they are wearing out colours as well. You'd
think that pets who handle money would be able to afford better looking clothes.
Like suits, there are many items, which can help make you a more fashionable
or unfashionable pet. Since I am the most fashionable Usul around, I've established
a list of items to get and to avoid this month, as well as some general grooming
tips:
1) Collars are in, but not the red, blue or black ones. The only choice you
have is the green satin collar. But don't wear it too tight, or your face will
turn red, which will look horribly untrendy. Just remember that a collar is
a fashion statement and not… urgh, an actual collar.
2) If you want to stand out in a crowd, pop on a pair of lucky green boots.
Not only are they an in-color, but they are also cool looking, and very original.
Wear these to games, since they are lucky, they will make you win Neopoints
and attract attention.
3) If you just want to look like an average, not so cool, Neopian, go shopping
for a T-shirt. The "I love" type shirts are very popular these days, and are
also very cute. However, stray away from boring t shirts that just have plain
old pets on them. I mean you want to look fashionable, not plain.
4) Run away from all bow-ties, bandanas and hats this month. Even if it is
an in color, chances are you will still be made fun of. They attract too much
attention and generally clash with all outfits.
5) Now, makeup isn't really a clothing item, and so it cannot suddenly make
you super cool, but it can help your appearance slightly. Don't use nail polish,
especially if you don't have nails. Painting your fur or fins will look very
tacky. Lipsticks are generally okay, as long as they do not clash and a properly
coloured for April. However if you are a boy, or a non-girly pet, then I would
advise the natural look for you. After all, in this month make-up is a not so
good idea.
6) Remember; always brush your teeth so you can also have a super fashionable
mouth. White teeth are always in style, but the colour of your toothbrushes,
mouth wash and floss are always changing. Keep a good supply handy since you
never know when brown becomes the new pink!
Stay tuned for next months list of best and worse dressed Neopians. Along
with tips to help make you more fashionable! This is one Usul, who tries her
best to keep the tackiness out of Neopia!!
Author's note: Please don't take anything in this article seriously. My
Usul just gets over excited when talking about appearances, since she has a
little ego problem. Just enjoy the article as a spoof on fashion advice.
