Kass, Are You There? It’s Me, Sunny: Part One

by shoyrumastertrainer

Beating Up The Bully…

I looked up into the sky, watching the dark purple clouds float by every now and then. I rubbed my golden yellow fur, watching the sun disappear behind and cloud, casting a shadow upon everything. Occasionally, a gentle breeze would blow my fur, sending my antennae slightly to one side in the wing. I am an Aisha, to be more specific, a yellow Aisha. People call my Sunny, but often times my owner calls me 'depressing'; whatever that means. I slowly got up, stretching my short arms out and yawning up into the sky. I got up, shuffling my feet around and walked up the stone stairs to my Neohome.

The cold stairs stung my feet, as I walked up to the large double oak door that was the front of my house. I walked inside into the living room and sat down on our humongous sofa. My owner came out from the kitchen, covered from head to toe in something that looked like Gaga Grub. Her usual blue jeans and T-shirt were hardly visible from under the muck. She held out my petpet, a Snorkle, with a displeasing look. "Sunny, why do you just leave your petpet in your room; you should take him everywhere you go!" My owner, Beth, told me. I lounged on the coach, sighing deeply and grabbed my Snorkle. I threw him on the ground and sat back down onto the coach.

I opened a book, something Beth had bought my sister, Fuzzy. I was usually so interested in reading, I could do nothing else. But tonight, I couldn't focus, so I set down the book on the coffee table and headed to the kitchen.

Within the usually attractive kitchen, I found my owner carefully making food. But not surprisingly, she was found trying to keep my brother and sister away from a small can of Neocola.

Just in case you're wondering, my sister and brother are anything but quiet and proper. My brother, FireryNeonMop (we call him Fire), is a white Grundo with red eyes. He happens to be the odd one and the middle child. He has a mad obsession with making my sister as wacky as possible by eating the heads off of her plushies and then gluing another head onto them. Right now he held up a plushie with an Acara body a Blumaroo head. A few words to describe him might be something like abnormal and… err… Stupid.

My sister, and the youngest Neopet in the family, was on the other side of my owner. She was a yellow Kacheek and went by the name of Fuzzy (Her real name is Fuzzyheadpuff). She loved her plushies and had over 250, remembering each of their names was a cinch to her. Every time Fire eats one of her plushie's head, she will scream at the top of her lungs and chase him. She happens to be intelligent as the youngest in the family, but also has a supply of endless energy.

My owner, also known as Mom and Beth, wants to be prim and proper, but fails in doing so. She has tons of Neopoints, being a Neomillionaire, but sadly she brought down on her properness by my Fire and Fuzz, a.k.a. the rambunctious couple. These two never let her do anything, but she sometimes finds a way to make time for the best person in the family: Me.

In the following paragraph, Fire speaks for the first time in this story. He is a Grundo, so accordingly I must use the correct dialect, meaning he speak backwards, so the words are backwards only, not the entire sentence! He does speak much in the story, so please be aware of that.

"Mommy, he ate another plushie! I'm gonna get you Fire!" Fuzzy squeaked as she climbed up my owner's food-covered pant leg. Fire stuck out his tongue and ran around my owner with Fuzzy following; they tripped her instantly, making her fall forwards into the soup she was making. She gave them a horrible look as Fire stopped in front of her quickly.

"Mom, ehs saw gnisahc em dnuora! Uoy was reh!" Fire gabbled, as my owner tried to translate it.

"So you said Mom, she was chasing me around and you saw her… err… Son, I'm sorry but as you can see, I'm busy!" she yelled, now wiping the soup from her face. "Please, Sunny, clean up the kitchen. I need a stress-relieving bath…" she moaned, rubbing her back and stared at me sorrowfully.

I walked over to the cupboard and opened it up to find many cans of Neocola, a packed lunchbox, a nearly gummy strawberry rat, a baggus and finally a special negg that she was saving for dinner in a couple of days. I reached down on the bottom of the old rickety cupboard to find a bottle that read 'Cleaning Faerie'. I pulled out the dusty bottle, blowing off the dust to see a lime green faerie within it. I tore off the cork. A swirl of thin, green dust swirled around me then formed into a faerie.

The faerie was wearing a blue knee length dress with an orange apron on over it. Her pink hair came down to her waist and had streaks of grey in it. Her green eyes shown brightly as she walked away from me briskly. "What'd ya want Mishay?" she said in a voice that was as creaky as an old door. "Clean up please," I commanded. She groaned and pulled out a broom and began making the mess disappear. I was bored so I left the messy kitchen to head up to the room.

I could hear Fuzzy and Fire screaming; obviously Fire had ripped off another head and glued it to the original one. I made my way up the two stairs to find my teeny room. I had my own though, which was good. I opened my door to find my purple wallpaper peeling off the wall with my small bed and wooden dressers near it which held a large array of books, most I had read, they seemed so cool. On my bed sat my Snorkle, Oink. He was named Oink hence the noise he made, an oink. I sat down on my bed, looking at him silently as he stared at me with blank eyes. The sun was barely setting, meaning I would have to survive an evening with the twerps. I lit my candle with a wave of my hand and moaned, looking at my ceiling.

I lay down to find something hard in my pillowcase. A thick book lay there, titled 'How to survive with your Petpetpet.' I threw it on the ground and got up to retrieve my backpack for Neoschool. I opened it up to get out the homework I had. My mom was making me take every class, which meant I had far more homework then any of my friends. Mrs. Owen gave us tons of homework tonight, along with Miss Mathews. I began working on it by candlelight as the sun sank. Oink would occasionally shuffle at the end of the bed and fall back asleep.

I heard Fuzzy scream as Fire ran up the stairs to my door. Mom who was on the second floor began yelling at them to get to their rooms. It must've been late because Oink hadn't moved for at least three hours. I closed my book, not even half way done! I threw my English book on the ground, blew out my candle and snoozed the night away.

***********

I awoke abruptly to someone screaming into my ear. I held it for a moment, trying to lessen the pain. The thing screaming was my best friend, Ally, a Maraquan Acara. Her owner was much richer then mine, which answered why she was Maraquan. She managed to make it over to my bed with her tentacles wrapped around the end of my bed. "So, are we leaving to go get the new Neopian Times?" she questioned, managing to stay up with use of my bed. Suddenly, I heard a scream. Fire must've struck on Fuzzy again. My house would never be quiet.

Mom started screaming again as Ally left the room; I took off my sweats and sweatshirt and put on some black pants and a purple tee-shirt. I walked out of my room, blowing out my candle, and petting Oink. His head rose, he squealed, and then I closed the door to my room.

On the second landing of my house was to large rooms, one on either side of the stairs that head plushies of war scattered everywhere. From the two larger rooms were doors that led to the bedrooms. I walked over to my mom's door and opened it up. Her room was beyond gorgeous, and she deserved it having to deal with Twerps every day.

"Stay out here, Ally… I'll only be a minute," I told her in a hushed voice as I crept into the most sacred room of the house.

I looked around at the marble flooring and elegant wallpaper which was dimly lit by real candlelit chandeliers. My mom had her glasses on, meaning she was reading. She gazed up to see me, holding up a remote and directing it toward the lights. The lights suddenly flickered on, slightly scaring me. I had only been in here twice for emergencies. "Hey Mom, Ally and I are going out to get the Neopian Times," I said; shakiness was in my voice.

"Oh, alright; will you please go get the duo some breakfast," she whispered in a misty voice. I nodded and left the room, closing the door silently.

Ally and I crept out of the house; managing not having to be seen by the Twerps was a miracle! It must've been their morning nap time thing; they do around 9:00 am.

We headed out of the house briskly, an orange juice clutched in my paw. "So, why do we need to go get the Neopian Times?" I asked her, slurping my drink up.

"Well, there is this cool thing in it!" she yelled as we headed down my yard onto the sidewalk. I threw my orange juice carton onto the ground as I dragged her down to the bazaar.

A small Blumaroo was shouting at the Neopian Times Stand. "Extra! Extra! Lord Kass finds a new place to take over! Where will it be? Extra! Extra!" he shouted at the top of his lungs. Surprisingly, people were interested and quickly snatched one up. Then the bully from school came, butting in front of me. He was a humongous Skeith, almost three times the size of me. "Well Sunny, what 'cha gonna do?" he bellowed, his voice shaking the ground. He stepped towards me, my insides shaking.

"Move it now Harry…" I mumbled, glaring at his ankle which came to my eye level. He bent down, his enormous head finally in my view.

"Na, I don't think I wanna," I growled, his voice now shaking me so much I fell down. I growled with rage and tackled him into the ground.

"AISHA GLARE!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, my head boiling with rage. His body froze, not moving a bit after I had gotten up.

I walked up to the stand and snatched up a Neopian Times from the Blumaroo who was yelling as I dragged Ally with me as she stared at Harry who still remained completely frozen.
