Wanting to know about everything? This little book has a bit of everything!
Even an explanation for all the Obelisks! Why not focus on one thing? Well,
everyone talks about great things and I don't want to repeat them. So, here
are little tidbits of information about different things in Neopia.
First of all, the rumours of the Obelisks. Everyone has been talking about
the obelisks creating a triangle of power. The strength obelisk, the wisdom,
and the... whatever obelisk. I haven't been following it too closely--seems
a little flaky to me. Still, when I thought about it I suddenly realised everybody
is thinking backwards! It's not that you need three obelisks in full power to
create the powerful magic or triangle of power. The fact is that they create
stability and peace in Neopia. Have you noticed there isn't an obelisk on Mystery
Island? (Where there was supposed to be a third one?) What if it was stolen
a long time ago? It broke the balance and the power of the triangle of power.
I wonder... didn't Sloth first make his attack around the time Mystery Island
and the VirtuPets Space Station were discovered?? (I wasn't playing NeoPets
at that time, but it seems to be about the right time frame.)
Then at around the same time that the Rock Beast was formed, the obelisk in
the Lost Desert was stolen of its source of power. Remember that the source
of power (a crown, I believe) was found gone soon after Sloth's creation of
the Rock Beast? The crown may have been stolen earlier, but wasn't found out
to be stolen until the day of the unveiling of the obelisk. Finally, what about
the whirlpool that destroyed Maraqua? Isn't it odd that at about the exact same
time that it occurred the obelisk in Tyrannia disappeared? The truth is that
the obelisks didn't create evil power (or power that could be used for evil),
but that they helped hold it off. Who created the obelisks? No one knows. Maybe
nobody will ever know...
Secondly, when deck swabbing I suggest a quick hint to you. Try going around
the outsides and spiraling inward. This makes a better chance of being close
to any treasures that happen to appear and minimize any damage you may create
to your tiles by turning them back to brown or off your goal colour. Also, the
smarter opponents will be kept moving in different directions as you will keep
circling around outside of their grasp.
Thirdly, since a pirate theme world will be coming out I thought you would
like to know that pirates, when fighting, love to insult. Some pirates even
say that the swords are just for show and the real fighting is the insults.
Here are some piratey insults (and comebacks) for the next time that you are
battling.
Insult:
"You fight like a dairy farmer!"
Response:
"How appropriate, you fight like a Kau!"
Insult:
"I've got a long sharp lesson for you today!"
Response:
"And I've got a TIP for you! Get the POINT?"
Insult:
"I've met Myncis with better manners than you!" - (A Good insult if you're from
Mystery Island)
Response:
"I see you attended your family reunion!"
Insult:
"I'm going to mop the deck with your pet!"
Response:
"So you got that job as a janitor after all!
Finally, have you noticed an interesting thing with the economy in Neopia?
It's been going onto the extremes for some reason. Things seem to be either
really expensive or dirt cheap. Very few middle range priced objects are for
sale anymore. This makes me feel a little mad as everything is becoming almost
free! Free food (omelettes)! Free healing from illnesses (Healing springs--why
spend all your money on Neopkins or Neopox pizza? Just get healed from the Healing
Springs!) and Free X-mas Paintbrushes (okay they aren't free, but for paintbrushes
they have become dirt cheap). Okay, I'm grumbling now so I'll stop there about
the economy. Just be careful Neopians! Remember the illnesses at the money tree?
Be forewarned! A great danger is coming! The Kiko Pirate King will have his
revenge! The three obelisks are gone and a new danger more powerful than you
could possibly imagine will befall the world of Neopia! |
