Deep inside every NeoPet is his or her centre. A centre is a magical space
which stores your pet's ability (if it has one) and essence. A NeoPet's essence
is what make a NeoPet a NeoPet, and not much is known about it.
To find your pet's centre, have it cup its paws/hands/hooves and stand up
(if it can, a Kau might have a problem). The exact location of your pet's centre
varies slightly, but in most species it is around their chest area. There are
a few exceptions of this, so make sure you know what your doing! Tell it to
focus on something it really likes about her species and why it is different
from other species (having it close its eyes helps a lot). If its hands are
in the right place, a slow feeling of contentment and self-confidence will fill
your pet.
There are many advantages for your pet being able to find its centre, especially
adopted pets who may have forgotten if they had been blessed or not, since finding
your centre can reveal its Faerie blessings as well.
But remember, most mutated pets cannot find their centre at all, and certain
pet species have centres in a different part of their bodies than other pets,
so be sure to note that:
EYRIES - Right in those big Eyrie rib cages
KIKOS - Under its large eyes, above the mouth
KAUS - In its legs. No kidding. But don't worry, it'll manage
ANY NEOPETS A JEWEL ON THEIR HEADS - They should find their centre there (on
their head), that includes Elephantes and Peophins.
UNIS - Right smack in their hooves! No cupping required!
QUIGGLES - Under their chins
