Dragoon wandered through the Miamouse hole. "Gee, I sure
hope this shrinking spell doesn't wear off..." Noticing what he had said, Dragoon
covered his eyes with his paws, as he expected to grow and be too big for the
hole. When no such thing had happened, Dragoon uncovered his eyes and continued
walking.
He then thought that for saying what he had
said, his comeuppance would be to shrink further, but thankfully his size did
not change at all.
***
Bluey wasn't an idiot. He knew that if he shrank, there was a reason for it.
There was no such thing in Neopia as spontaneous shrinkage. "What could have
possibly caused it?" he mused to himself. "Was it seeing the Miamouse? ...Nah.
Was it... worrying about not finding Dragoon? ...I don't think so. Was it..."
Bluey gasped. It was saying the word 'little!' he thought. I said
it when talking to Dragoon, and that's when I became as small as him. And then
I said it again when hoping to find him, and then I shrank again! Bluey
made sure not to say the 'l' word, as if he did he might disappear.

"Bluey!" Dragoon called.
"Dragoon!" Bluey called.
The two adventurers were taken aback.
"Bluey!" Dragoon called again.
"Dragoon!" Bluey called again.
The two adventurers cocked their head to one
side.
Bluey ran forward.
Dragoon ran forward.
Then, they saw each other! They ran to each
other. And then Dragoon pounced on Bluey, locking him in a Shoyru hug. They
noticed that they were the right size again...more or less.
"Bluey! I've missed you so much!" Dragoon exclaimed.
"Hey, there... er... Dragoon, for a while I
never thought I'd see you again!"
The two adventurers found that they had no where
to go. "Er... sorry to ruin the fun, but...how are we supposed to get out of
here?" Dragoon asked.
Bluey looked skyward. "Hey, there's an opening
up there! We can fly out!" "All right!" Dragoon flapped his wings and Bluey
did the same. They lifted off the ground and ascended the pathway. They climbed
altitude quickly, until they had to stop when they saw a dead end.
"Whoa! Hold up!" Bluey commanded. Dragoon and
Bluey hovered there. "Um... I have no idea how to get out of here now."
"Maybe if we were little enough to fit through
the..." Dragoon started. His mouth was covered with Bluey's claw. "Mmfmmffm!"
"Shh! Dragoon, please, please, don't say that
word! We might..." Bluey said. It was too late. The feeling had already overtaken
Bluey and Dragoon, and Bluey's tail and wings drooped. "...shrink."
Bluey and Dragoon became smaller and smaller.
Bluey was ready for it. Dragoon, on the other hand, panicked. "Wha-why-how-what?
What's going on, Bluey?"
"You brought it on, Dragoon. You said the 'l'
word."
Dragoon's paw went up to his mouth. Dragoon
was embarrassed. Making you and your owner shrink? Dragoon wanted to shrink
smaller than Bluey so he could slink off.
When the feeling finally subsided again, Bluey
and Dragoon were so small they looked like buzzing flies. "Well, at least we
can fit through the stones now," Dragoon suggested, smiling nervously.
Bluey and Dragoon flew up through the cracks
and crawled through the nooks and crannies. The almost microscopic duo appeared
on another floor. At their size, this dungeon looked like a very menacing torture
chamber. They clung to each other for dear life.
Dragoon gulped. "I wish this place wasn't so
huge!" Dragoon pressed his head against his owner's shoulder.
Then, a different feeling came over the duo.
Their bodies began to shake violently. They were growing! Dragoon noticed how
the place was becoming smaller and smaller. Bluey became more brave as the room
lost its size. After a minute, the duo were back to their original size... but
the feeling hadn't gone away.
"Erm... shouldn't we stop growing now?" Bluey
wondered.
Dragoon looked up. "Uh oh..."
Bluey and Dragoon banged their heads on the
ceiling. Thankfully, the growing stopped after that. Dragoon rubbed his head.
"Ow..."
"Whoa... I've been super-small... but I've never
been super-big before!" Bluey said.
"I feel like I'm in the story of Aisha in Wonderland..."
Dragoon stated.
"Dragoon! That's it!" Bluey exclaimed.
"It is?"
"Yeah! See, one thing made us shrink. And another
thing made us grow. So maybe doing the two things at the same time will put
us back to our regular size!"
"Okay... if you say so, Bluey..."
Bluey and Dragoon prepared themselves. "Little
huge!" they shouted. Then, they started to shrink. They shrank past their regular
size, which scared them, but then they started growing, and were returned to
their original size.
"Yes! Finally, back to our regular size!" Bluey
stated.
"Now... can we get the Fairy's Orb and get the
heck out of this crazy place?" "Right!"
***
Bluey and Dragoon wandered through the castle. They were heading upwards in
an effort to find the highest tower. Bluey huffed and puffed, and so did Dragoon.
They weren't used to traveling up numerous flights of stairs.
Dragoon said, "Geez, how many more... flights
could there be?"
Then, the two finally found the top. Unfortunately,
their path was guarded by an overgrown -- Bluey and Dragoon couldn't decide
whether the thing was fed too much or was enlarged by the castle's magic --
Draik. He was sleeping soundly, but that could change at any minute. Bluey noticed
that the Fairy's Orb rested on a pedestal in front of the Draik.
Bluey tapped Dragoon on the shoulder and motioned
toward the Orb. He gave Dragoon a little shove, signaling that Bluey was too
cowardly to do the job himself. Dragoon tip-pawed over to the pedestal, removed
the Orb, and returned to his owner victoriously.
But then disaster struck. The Draik's eyes fluttered
open. The Draik was none too happy about the theft of his most prized possession.
He got up. He was so big, in fact, that he had to walk on all fours. Bluey and
Dragoon were quite scared.
"YAAAAAAHHHH!!!" they screamed, evacuating the
area immediately.
With one fell swoop, the Draik grabbed both
Bluey and Dragoon in one paw. Using giant fingers, the Draik pried Bluey's and
Dragoon's mouths open. Then, he produced a vial of a strange-colored potion
and poured the potion down the captives' throats with his tail. After that,
the Draik snorted a bit of fire into Bluey's and Dragoon's faces, and then threw
them down the stairs.
The duo whacked their heads many times on the
stairs, tumbling down the staircase. At the bottom of their fall, Bluey and
Dragoon fell unconscious.
To be continued...
