Krawk Island Captives: Part Four

by squieshie

I walked over to Xraie. She was still unconscious. Comedian-Buggy and her Poppit were trying to wake her up. I bent down in front of her, and slapped her in the face, but she still didn't jerk awake. I decided to order a water, and dump it on her face, since I had nine thousand Dubloons. I went over to the front counter.

"Can I get a water please?" I asked.

"Well, you have to pay for it," the pirate Aisha rolled it's eyes.

"Yeah, I know. Do you have change for a thousand?" I questioned, pulling out one dubloon.

"Ohh... y-y-yes, we do. Just a moment please!" The Aisha scurried off over to the faucet, and filled a glass of water, and added a few ice cubes. He set it on the counter. "I-I-I'm s-so sorry for the delay, M-Mister Captain Sir! It won't happen again! Please forgive me! He gave me nine hundred and ninety dubloons for change.

"Oh, oh, It's no big deal. I just need this to wake up my sist- I mean me friend, matey," I finished with a wink.

I jogged back over to my sister, and splashed the water all over her face. She squirmed, her eyes opening wide.

"W-Where am I?" she spoke, looking around. "Oh, Taitl! What happened?"

"You fainted. I guess you were just shocked that I had so many one thousand Dubloon coins!" I smiled.

"Oh, yeah... I think I remember now! Hey, wanna get something to eat now? I'm famished!" Xraie replied, as she stood up, and dusting herself off.

"Sure thing!" I assured her. "Lets grab a seat!"

After our meal, Xraie and I went to the deck of the ship.

     "You know, Xraie," I started.

     "Yeah?"

"In the restaurant a lot of people thought I was the Captain of the ship..." I scratched my blue Ixi fur on top of my head.

"Well, I was wondering What the deal is with those goofy clothes? They are like, something a pirate would wear!" Xraie stuck her tongue out.

     Then it hit me.

"Of course!" I thought aloud, smacking myself in the head.

     "What, what?!" Xraie questioned, hastily.

"I got these clothes in the room with the mountains of one-thousand dubloon coins... only somebody like the Captain would have money like this! I must have took the Captain's clothes, so now everybody thinks I'm the captain!" I smiled, feeling proud.

"Hmmm, then the Neopets on this ship must be pretty dim-witted, because the Captain isn't even an Ixi!" Xraie exclaimed.

"Huh? How did you figure this out?"

"While I was with Sir and Mister, I went head-to-head with the captain... he was a Krawk. They called him... Captain." Xraie explained.

I gasped. "They called him... Captain?! Amazing... I said sarcastically.

"No, that's really what they called him!" Xraie convinced me.

     "Okay, okay, I believe you."

"So, What I'm saying is, the Neopets on this ship must be really dim-witted because they can't even tell the difference between an Ixi and a Krawk!" My sister started to chuckle, wiping a tear or laughter from her eye.

"Hah! I guess that really is stupid." I replied.

"Well then, we need to get off of this ship before we run into the Captain!" I replied. "Or else we'll be in big trouble... he'll find out that we stole some of his Dubloons... then... he'll probably make us... Walk the Plank!" Xraie exclaimed.

"Eepers!" I got a chill down my back.

"Oh, and I found out one more thing," Xraie mentioned.

     "What's that?" I questioned.

"Mister and Sir brought us on this ship as captives, because we're Meridell pets..." The Purple Draik looked out into the sea, her eyes sparkling with fear. "Captain said that they would make us walk the plank after he was done talking to me, but that was when I ran away..."

"Why does he hate us just because we're Meridell pets?" I inquired, needing to find this information out.

"He said... that us Draiks' and Ixi stole the Krawks' popularity, and he wants to get revenge on every Ixi and Draik out there..." Xraie frowned.

"But that isn't true! People kill do almost anything to get their hands on a Krawk!" I raged.

     "I know..."

     "Uh-oh..." I panicked.

     "...What is it?!" Xraie asked.

"I think it's Captain, Mister, and Sir... coming our way..."

"Well, then... RUN!!!" My sister grabbed me by the scruff, urging me to get a move on. Our petpets rode on our shoulders, as we sprinted as fast as we could to find somewhere to hide. My Hooves clomped on the wooden deck. I ran faster and faster, Xraie keeping up, to my surprise. I looked back, over my shoulder. Captain, Mister, and Sir were still following us. They were getting closer and closer, inch by inch... pretty soon, we were running around in circles, around the deck, over and over again.

A few minutes later, I looked behind my shoulder again. I didn't see the three pirates anymore.

"Ahh!!! Xraie! STOP!" I shouted. She came to a complete stop.

"What... is it? They're... gonna catch us!" Xraie replied, panting.

"No. They've stopped chasing us, and are coming around the other way!" I explained.

"AAAAAH!!! THERE THEY ARE!" Xraie exclaimed, turning back around. But by the time we started running again, Captain, Mister, and Sir had caught us.

     "Oh, no!" I shouted.

"'Oh, no' is right," the Captain replied, picking me up by the scruff. He grinned, showing a golden tooth.

"Yer comin' with us," Mister laughed, evilly.

     "Hardy, Har, har..." Sir chuckled.

"Let's go... to the plank!" Captain smirked.
