Aisha Dark Shadow: Part Seven

Untitled Document

Shaina yawned, tugging her blanket over her head. The alarm rang and rang, and as if she was suddenly zapped, Shaina threw herself out of bed, and hurried to the bathroom to brush her teeth.

After that, she rushed downstairs, ate her breakfast and nearly ran all the way to work. When she came inside, she rubbed her eyes tiredly.

“I told you morning wasn’t the perfect time to get me to work,” Shaina said, yawning.

“I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, Aisha Dark Shadow,” said Sir Chancellor, and chuckled. “‘Nonsense’!”

Shaina groaned and rubbed her eyes once more. She went up to the meeting room and saw Conley panting all over the table. Suddenly, the phone rang.

“I’ll get it,” stated Shaina, picking up the phone. “Hello? This is —”

“There’s mayhem! There’s mayhem!” cried the person from the phone.

“Pardon me, but what seems to be the problem?”

“A —” and with that, the phone flicked off. Shaina took her device and quickly turned her fur black, dragging Conley behind her as the jogged outside.

Shaina turned on her communicator and messaged Amity and Sir Chancellor. She warned that danger was nearby, and it didn’t sound like a regular thievery. Just then, they saw the problem.

“Oh no, not him…” moaned Shaina. “Especially not this early in the morning!”

In the middle of the street was Evil Eyes Aisha. He was terrorizing all the buildings. Neopians were running about, screaming, yelling, and frantic.

“Alright, everybody!” guided Shaina. “Head toward the Neopian Hospital! All injured people station themselves inside. Everybody else, please stay outside the building and wait!”

The people did what they were told, and squirmed around, avoiding Evil Eyes Aisha. He now had a new weapon; and those were laser eyes.

“Back again, Aisha Dark Shadow?” Evil Eyes Aisha asked, grinning.

“Just what I was going to ask you. Aren’t you ever tired of these things, or when you wake up in the morning —”

“Enough!” interrupted the irritated Evil Eyes Aisha. “We shall end everything here, today, Aisha Dark Shadow.”

“I’d say,” said Shaina quite confidently. “You do know my weakness, don’t you? Yes, let’s finish it. Today. Yes.”

Conley only had a second to look before Shaina and Evil Eyes Aisha both sprinted toward each other. Evil Eyes Aisha shot lasers, nearly hitting Shaina each time. Laser, of course, was light, which is the fastest traveling thing in Neopia, as well as Earth. Shaina had trouble avoiding these.

Shaina used Sun Ray, and then quickly blessed herself. She healed her not-so-visible burnt marks and summoned Twisting Vines. Evil Eyes Aisha blasted them away with his laser, and smirked.

“You know you can’t win, so call it quits, Aisha Dark Shadow,” he said cockily.

“Not unless you say please!” Shaina said, shooting a fireball at Evil Eyes Aisha.

He avoided it poorly, ending up with a dark paw. He growled angrily and began using his lasers everywhere. After a few more shots, Shaina could tell he was getting tired. She regenerated herself and leaped backwards.

Conley, Amity, Sir Chancellor, and Casey were nearby, ready to back up Shaina. Casey wanted revenge, but decided it was best to stay out of the way, because she caused enough trouble already. Conley was going to disagree, but was then distracted by glowing spheres flying in every direction.

Nearly an hour later of fighting, Shaina was tired from head to toe. She could barely stand, let alone battle. Evil Eyes Aisha, too, was very injured. Although he could stand up perfectly fine, he was in no shape to battle.

Shaina gathered up as much strength as possible to regenerate, just as Evil Eyes gathered all his strength and nearer Shaina. He grabbed her furiously, and was ready to strike with his paw on her neck.

Shaina struggled, as her friends piled out from their hiding and came out.

“Excellent. Now you can be here to see your little friend be destroyed,” snarled Evil Eyes Aisha.

Shaina panicked, for Evil Eyes Aisha’s grip was so powerful it nearly choked her. She gasped for breath and attempted to kick him with her leg. She missed, as Sir Chancellor asked, “What do you want?”

“I want the world, fool. I have already dominated the central part, and if I defeat Aisha Dark Shadow, there will be no more obstacles in my way…”

With her last once of strength, Shaina shot her legs upward, did a back flip, and landed stealthily on her hind legs. With all her exhaustion, she nearly collapsed. But she couldn’t. The world was in trouble, and she had to keep fighting…

“Stop it!” cried Casey. “Stop it! Stop all the fighting! I can’t take it!”

“Is the traitor going to try to stop me now? A little idiot Gelert like her, try and stop me from dominating the world?”

Conley growled furiously and ran. He crashed into Evil Eyes Aisha and landed on top of him. “She is not an idiot! The person who’s an idiot is you. It’s called peace, Evil Eyes Aisha, kindness and care. That’s something you don’t — and possibly never ever — had. You’re a hideous beast, you hear me? Hideous!”

Just then, Amity used her Sun Ray. This injured Evil Eyes Aisha greatly, for he was weakened by the battle beforehand. “No,” he growled. “I was never good. I shall never be! Don’t you see? Being good does you nothing but work. Nobody cares if you are good or bad, so it is easier to just be on the evil side.”

“No!” Casey said, her voice quavering. “Neopets do care! They always did. You just don’t realize it until… until you really need to. Until you really feel like you were abandoned. Until you were surrounded by hatred and sadness.”

“Shut up, fool! You know nothing, you traitor! Nothing, you hear me?” scowled Evil Eyes Aisha.

Casey ignored his speech and continued. “You’ll never know if anyone cares until they show it. And they wont do that until you yourself do something great. Everybody shows a little bit of praise once and a while, and —”

Conley started running toward Casey, and reached her just as Evil Eyes Aisha shot his laser. Conley fell to the ground, whimpering. After a few seconds, he was silent.

Evil Eyes Aisha cackled loudly. “See that? Hah, the power of good. What can that do you? It’ll cost you your life.”

Casey’s eyes were full of tears. She folded her Faerie wings behind her and closer her eyes, holding her hands tightly as though doing a prayer.

“Are you not angry now? Any of you? Are you not full of hatred?” spat Evil Eyes Aisha. “This is how it feels. You can release your anger by revenge… do you not know the meaning of it? Do you not?”

Suddenly, things were appearing in the light blue sky. A large gust of wind came, and in front of them was a bunch of Faeries. To the left were three Water Faeries and the Uber-Water Faerie. Beside them was a bunch of Air Faeries, with two Uber-Air Faeries with them. Close by were Earth Faeries and Illusen herself, and a few Fire Faeries. There was the Negg Faerie and Jhuidah, the Soup Faerie, the Library Faerie and the Battle Faerie. And last, but not least, was the Faerie Queen.

All of them, including Amity and Casey used one ability; and that was healing. They healed Shaina and Conley, the Neopians Evil Eyes Aisha injured, and all the hatred, sadness, and fear from all the Neopets. It was to be a perfect world again.

It was, for at least a little period of time. Evil Eyes Aisha was banished from all of Neopia, shipped off into a space shuttle leading to nowhere in particular. He may come back in a few years, although not likely. The world was peaceful once again, although crime was still present.

And so, Shaina, Amity, Conley, Sir Chancellor, and Casey would live their lives to the fullest, with many more adventures awaiting them.
