Gallery Name: The Incomplete Collection of Arthropods, Annelids & Molluscs - The Menagerie

Description: Long before the Neopian horde took to keeping grackle bugs as petpets, ours sat on its toothpick next to a trilo bite, behind a sheet of glass. Some pets looked at the pair curiously, others stomped off muttering about "wasting perfectly good food". Oblivious to the reactions of those around us, we moved our small collection into its own room, set up tanks and screens and began to add living creatures to it, woo woo grubs, spyders, slorgs! Our fascination for the wriggling and writhing world of Neopia's primitive wildlife grew. The walls became a tapestry of buzz armour and ornate spyder webs, the shelves lined with mollusc preserves and jars of flies, the air alive with the hum of its very specialized inhabitants. Yes, our collection is far from complete, but it is very much alive and full of secrets!

Arthropods
are insects . Spiders . Crustaceans .
Their bodies and legs are divided into segments and their skin is a hard exoskeleton . They crawl the earth and swim the seas as millions of different species . Neopia is bursting with them . They live in your neohomes , undetected and whether you fear them or love them , here you will see them .


Annelids
are essentially worms .
They are long and squishy and sometimes bristly . Their bodies are segmented - they seem to be made of lots of little rings joined together to make a great tube . They can be plain , or they can be beautiful ... but beauty is in the eye of the beholder .


Molluscs
would be a little harder to define specifically than either Arthropods or Annelids . Still , you are certainly familiar with them . Slugs , snails , clams and octopi all fall under the phylum (a fancy name for one of the levels at which you can sort living things into different types) Mollusca .
They all have soft bodies . Most have shells , but some don't . But they're all absolutely fascinating!
