Lives in the Ice Caves
By Ichigostars
An icy blast of wicked rage,
Red gleaming eyes of hate,
His long, lithe body filled with anger,
It will decide your fate.
Sleeping deeply in a moment,
Raging mad in a heartbeat.
Dangerous is what he is,
You will soon admit defeat.
He has a body filled with ice;
He can be seen in a cold cave
Curled around his items with glares,
You have your life to save.
It is the Snowager you see,
What he does is not fun,
Because if you ever see him,
All you ought to do is run!

The Catacombs
By Spunk1
Deep, dank, darkened Catacombs,
What mysteries do you hide?
In the shadows where the light does not reach,
Hidden from the flickering torches' eyes.
Ideas flourish, creativity breeds in
Your stone cavity, gently nurtured
With imagination from the minds of
Artists and writers who inhabit your depths.
Those who seek your protective nature
Are the brilliant, inspired ones
Seeking a refuge where they can plant
Their fermenting stories and poems
And paintings that they carefully
Caress with each stroke of brush
And pen and pencil.
You are the birthplace of art,
Mother of inspired poets,
Budding writers,
And yearning painters
Who search for you when
The rest of Neopia has rejected
Their talents.
Pulses of creativity are your heartbeat,
Inspiration is your soul,
A living monument to those who
Appreciate your sanctuary.
All great art ever created has flowed,
Bubbling from your depths, to fill
The eyes of Neopets everywhere.
What an irony it is that Neopia's
Brightest jewel is hidden deep underground
Among shadows where only the
Eyes of those who inhabit it can reach.
Deep, dank, darkened Catacombs,
What mysteries do you hide?
In the shadows where the light does not reach,
Hidden from the flickering torches' eyes.

The Three
By Kandeegrrl
Promisers of wealth and greed,
Destroyers of what's right.
Whispering of your every need,
With words as dark as night.
You'll have fortune, you'll have fame;
If you will but heed the call!
We will erase your every shame,
For with it you shall fall.
We have the tools that you need;
We have the wealth that you desire.
You'll have them if you will but heed
Our whisperings of power!
That's what they promise you, beware!
For greed can be a funny thing,
They only lie; they do not care
What your greed will bring.
You are the tool that they shall use,
They oft work through the weak of heart;
It is your dreams they do abuse.
For your own good, be smart!
Heed these words, don't be sold,
Don't be controlled by greed.
You've been warned, you've been told,
Now watch out for the Three!

Mystery Island
By Viper05
Often when I'm melancholy,
I close my eyes and breathe slowly.
Then, in my mind's eye, I envision:
A land so beautiful, my breath goes silent,
'Tis the land of Mystery Island.
The Island Mystic I always feared:
With his bony nose and yellow beard.
The Tombola Man, what a character!
Full of grins and friendly banter.
The sun-kissed Myncis on the beach
Stretch their limbs, the ball to reach.
And how that Kougra recites haiku!
I never decipher them, never I do!
And after I have envisioned this,
My sadness evaporates like mist.
Truly, only one place calms my head, violent:
'Tis the land of Mystery Island.

Freaky Factory Flashbacks
By Dawnaurora
Liquid blobs of Kreludite,
Angel, yellow, blue, and more,
Make for such an eerie sight --
They have me bolting for the door!
Stirring memories of a factory of fear
Where I'd once found myself working.
I'd known Dr. Sloth was probably near,
And that evil there was lurking.
But I'd been desperate for a job;
I'd known I had to take it.
Though the place seemed a little macabre,
"Somehow," I'd thought, "I'll make it."
My first day began with a piercing shriek
From a whistle I could not see;
By now I was feeling rather meek,
But I quelled my desire to flee.
One by one, the blobs flew past me;
I dropped each into its vat.
This I continued quite steadfastly
Until I spied a massive rat.
Upon a second fearful glance,
I discovered a Grundo, slick as an eel;
Toward my figurines did he advance --
His intention was to steal.
With me in a surprised and dumbstruck state,
He made off with a yellow Kau.
His hands had snatched it at an alarming rate,
But this thievery I couldn't allow.
I struck him on the head with all my might
But my efforts were in vain;
Seconds later he returned to sight --
I could feel myself going insane.
"I've got to get out of this horrible place,"
I muttered in desperation,
Though thoughts of Sloth and his hideous face
Were a horrible sensation.
I dashed for the door, faster than lightning;
My hand on the doorknob trembled a bit.
Once I was out it didn't seem so frightening.
As I ran away, I shouted, "I quit!"
