My Symol

My Symol is precious,
And cute as can be.
My Symol is cautious,
And very shy, you see.
His fur is so shiny,
And it tickles my nose.
His paws are so tiny,
And they never impose.

As you can see, my Symol is special.
And how fitting it is for there to be
A day for a Petpet so special as he!

The Symol Tunnel System

Nestled in the sprawling green,
At briefest glance, it can't be seen.
The smallest niche, petite and round,
A burrowed indent in the ground.
The vital gateway is its role,
The start of the famous Symol Hole.

Beneath the luscious emerald plain,
We find the Symol clans' domain.
A network hidden far below,
A world devoid of sunlight's glow.
Within they dig for all they're worth,
To expand realm beneath the earth.

The tunnelled paths, a puzzling maze,
With tiny lights, they seem ablaze.
Within the Symols scurry fast,
Constructing tunnels, deep and vast.
When next you tread where grass doth grow,
Consider who lives down below.

The Symol's Lament

Walking off the beaten path
A great escape from urban wrath.
Oh, what is this? A tiny den?
What creature ever lies within?

Surely one who's smart and clever,
One with skills for such endeavours
As building such a grand old hole
Indeed, behold the old Symol!

A tiny creature, brown as oak
A hairy, ever airy bloke
Most unconcerned with life aloft
About one thing the Symol scoffs:

Oh, what a bother, all these guests
To drop in on my earthy nest
They come on in despite protest
A so unwanted, daunting pest!

A brand new day, and all come by
"The Symol's welcome guests," it sighs.
No privacy at all for him.
Guests just come by upon a whim.

The Symol doesn't like to roam.
Or this would be a vacant loam.
If I was him, myself remove
From all these things myself improve

Then who would come and visit him?
Who would come by just on whim?
Maybe he'll stick around and see
That he is loved, we all agree!

Symol Hole

You might not notice it at first,
That hole there in the ground.
It's just a little mound of dirt,
A pit so small and round.
But if your Petpet goes inside,
There's treasure to be found.

You travel there one fine fall day,
With your Petpet near at hand.
You tell it: "Dive in with eyes closed."
The creature hops in, and...
Perhaps you've found some Neopoints,
Some boots or an old can!

The Symol Hole hides many things.
Small treasures in it lay,
Just down beneath the grassy plain,
An easy climb away.
So send your Petpet down the hole:
Today is Symol Day!
