ANNUAL CHOCOLATE BALL SPECIAL

The Annual Chocolate Ball
By Purplepassiony2k

The Annual Chocolate Ball will soon be here.
Sadly, it comes around but once a year.
The Chocolate Factory hosts this event.
The aroma creates an intoxicating scent.

Momentarily, Neopia is chocolate obsessed.
BECAUSE YOU ONLY WANT THE VERY BEST!
Today is the day for chocolate galore.
It's so popular there's a line out the door!

Chocolate comes in many shapes and sizes.
Buy some now, the shopkeeper advises.
Rich and chewy and filled with ooze.
So many chocolates it's hard to choose.

Anything chocolate tastes yummy.
I want them all inside of my tummy.
A delectable delight in every bite.
Do you believe in love at first sight?

I eat them with my hands and even with my feet!
I can't stop until I'd had my share of eats.
Chocolate most certainly deserves the ohhs.
Whichever one you pick you just can't lose!

It's my first poetry attempt so don't pout.
The Chocolate Ball is the best, no doubt.
As you can see, it's what my poem is all about.

The Very Mysterious Chocolate Factory
By Togepi_forever

A very strange fellow is he, is he
Who runs the Chocolate Factory,
Where naught goes in but much comes out,
And no one knows what that's about.
A Kiko of yellow with hat of blue -
Who he is, we haven't a clue.
He has no workers, just himself,
But chocolate fills up every shelf.

Neopians come from all around
To eat this chocolate by the pound.
Milk, Dark, Mint and Raspberry,
Even Orange - what delicacies!
For all these flavours so divine
Neopians stand in endless lines.

The Chocolate Ball comes every year,
And many new chocolates will appear.
As Neopians see them and shout with glee,
The Kiko smiles mysteriously.
What is his secret? I wonder that
As the Kiko twirls his odd little hat.
He has a holiday just for his shop,
And an avatar puts him quite on top
Of sellers of hot dogs and ice cream cones -
He truly is in a class of his own!

And even now, thought it's getting quite late,
The Kiko does not close his gate,
Nor have another take his spot-
He simply does not leave his shop!
While other's days are long complete,
He does not sleep, he does not eat.

His secret we may never know,
But very dark it now does grow.
And long after these days are history,
That Kiko may still be a mystery.

The Annual Chocolate Ball
By Geneames1

I'll put on my best Toffee hat
And pick you up at eight
The Chocolate Ball begins tonight
We'd better not be late!

Don your sturdiest dancing shoes
And wear your finest shawl
Tonight I'll be escorting
The Belle of the Chocolate Ball

It's going to be an amazing event,
teeming with music and laughter
and plentiful sweet treats to tickle your tummy
if sugar's the thing that you're after!

We'll start with a waltz across the floor
and end with a ragtime shuffle
then sidle on up to the Chocolate Bar
for some milk and a Codestone truffle

So be prepared to have some fun
And tomorrow you will recall
The wonderful time that you had here tonight
At the Annual Chocolate Ball

Chocolate Ball
By Plumgrove

A faerie strikes the golden bell
To tell the hall that midnight's come
And twelve sweet notes begin the tune
That the musicians start to strum:
A deep and luscious chocolate spell
That starts out soft, but very soon
With silken tone and creamy hum
The music rises towards the moon.
It mingles with the butterscotch light
Of cinnamon-scented candles strewn
Amid the drapes of brown and plum
And raspberry that grace the sight
Of dancers lithe in the cocoon
Of frothy, sugary delight -
Delightfully, with tones of mint
The flutes sing out into the night
The harp's song flows in a lagoon
Of molten chocolate with a hint
From clarinets, of sweet cream white;
Vanilla tones of horns, the glint
Of lemon nectar from tambourine.
The music quickens to a sprint,
With leaping grace notes that excite
The dancers in the chocolate scene.
They're all dressed up in copper tint
With velvet's softness, satin's sheen
Like liquid chocolate's fluent sway
And glittering gems; topaz, citrine
On flowing skirts of cocoa print
And foaming laces of sugary spray.
Fair as a dainty chocolate queen
Crowned with a sugared rose bouquet,
Every ballroom dancer twirls,
Lithely, to the gavotte's swift play,
To the scent of coffee and tangerine -
All around them the sweet dream swirls;
About the edges faeries stray:
Sugared faeries with wings like pearls
Of chocolate white, with almond eyes
And chestnut hair that falls in curls
And voices soft as sweet sorbet
They dance and sing, and each one flies;
Behind them a honeyed river unfurls
In candy ribbons of surprise.
Powdered sugar they gently sift
From the vanilla-scented skies,
A snow of wonder that falls in whorls
And covers all in a sweet white drift.
The dancers, nimbly, to the soft reprise
In gentle currents, fleeting, swift,
Dance in the milky, dusty stream
From partner to partner they deftly shift,
Whispering their quiet goodbyes
By the light of the sputtering candles' gleam.
A chocolate beam shines through a rift
In dawn-hued clouds of honeyed cream.
On dancers, trancelike, in the thrall
Of the magical chocolate dream -
Its cocoa spell begins to lift
At the end of the midnight Chocolate Ball.

A Chocolate Waltz
By Anjie

The invites are sent out, they say,
For this year's Chocolate Ball.
A grand event that few would miss,
A night that doth enthrall.

Most glamorous, this one event,
In tones of Chocolate Brown.
All the stars invited, here,
And if you're not, leave town.

A whirling waltz beneath the lights,
So held just once a year.
Filtered light beams from above,
With chocolate chandelier.

Amongst the pillars carved from gold,
Do two small Chias dance.
Both washed in richest chocolate tones,
They take a regal stance.

With formal bow they do step forth,
So slowly, start to twirl.
A thousand other couples dance,
And through the crowd they whirl.

Tiny fountains stand nearby,
Dark Chocolate milk inside.
It bubbles wildly as they dance,
The slow, it doth subside.

Sublime this place, for such a time,
Delicious is this dance.
The ball itself comes once a year,
And thus, they grasp this chance.
