KYRII DAY SPECIAL

Ode To The Kyrii
By Snwarren

Today is the day of the Kyrii,
It may not mean the same to you and me
It's a day to celebrate the mighty pet
That some of you might not
Have befriended just yet

Famous Kyrii have been bountiful in Neopia
You can read all about it in the Neopedia
But to save you all the trouble and time
I came up with this informative rhyme

She uses her intelligence and charm
Cheat! is her game, but there is no need for alarm
It's Capara who is the hopeless cheat
And always ends up at the bottom of the heap

Fooling the Sakhmet guards for delectable fruit
Stan is always searching for Ummagine loot
Working all day in the hot desert sun
Bamboozling the Elephante guards
Will always be fun

Enter for fortunes untold
The Island Mystic will not be too bold
His riddles confusing and mystifying
From his advice you'll never know
What you'll be trying

To all the Kyrii with your long silky hair
It being messed up you just can't bear
Resulting in a display of a measure
Of extreme distemper

From the cheats, thieves, and mystics to the plain
You should not think of the Kyrii as vain
They are bold and exciting
You are always in for an adventure so enticing

This is an ode to the Kyrii
Of today and of tomorrow
So have some cake, there is no need to borrow
Lets us all gather around, you and me
For today is the day of the Kyrii!

The Kyrii Thief
By Mithril_mithrandir

From nighttime streets of Brightvale
A shadow swift does rise,
Slipping through the darkness,
Seen by no one's eyes.

He lurks in alleys hidden,
But he's moving forward still,
Onward toward the castle
That stands upon the hill.

With one soft fluid motion,
This thief is on the wall,
His movements betray confidence,
He knows he will not fall.

An open window, all he needs,
This greedy little pet,
To slip inside and do his work,
Stealing, right and left.

A flutter of the curtains,
The Kyrii's eyes alight,
And with expertise and care,
The thief does slip inside.

There is one single witness,
Asleep in bed-time gown,
And with fast darting hands
He snatches the King's crown!

The Kyrii hurries from the room,
The golden crown clutched tight,
Rushing from the castle
Back into the starry night.

And in the shadowed alleyway
The Kyrii holds his prize,
Gloating, laughing, smiling broad,
Success is in his eyes.

The Mystic Kyrii
By Flutedad

Thoughts in passing hidden here
Mystic Kyrii always near
Wisdom knowledge in allegories
Insight buried in cryptic stories

The facts you seek you fail to find
No answers but wisdom of a kind
Mystic Kyrii ignores your quest
Expounds acumen he feels is best

Fortunes told seem insincere
Truth obscured, never clear
His prophecy you should not dismiss
Within reality persists

A place name gives you some insight
Events in parable bring light
Mystic Kyrii shows the way
To navigate the world each day

On island home quiet repose
Afford the Kyrii time to compose
A fortune full of pithy fact
Understanding is what you lack

Take a moment every day
Hear what the Mystic has to say
And when he warns of an event
It's not what he said but what he meant

The Kyrii Queen's Ball
By Knoxigami

Graceful she rises, to the mirror she goes,
While gently arranging her beautiful clothes.
A delightful Kyrii of such noble grace,
With such a kind smile upon her kind face,
A circlet of silver sits soft on her head,
A gift from the Faerie Queen, so it is said.
Long cyan hair, fur of aquamarine,
The elegant look of the fair Kyrii Queen.

Softly she glides in her silk azure gown,
A smile from her can erase any frown,
Her people adore her, and can they be blamed?
When you gaze on the beauty
For which she is famed.
Her sky blue eyes glitter, stepping into the sun,
The day has arrived and there's much to be done!
Creatures are coming from miles around,
To celebrate Kyrii Day, cheer is abound.

Of generous nature, and caring to all,
To honour her fellows she's throwing this ball,
The food's cooked and ready, the castle is clean,
Dancers and jesters rehearse their routine.
In the distance if you look very hard you will see
The guests are approaching
With haste and with glee.

All are invited it will soon begin,
Rejoice and make merry, for the great Kyrii Kin!

The Moving House Kyrii Gnome
By Anjie

Velvet twilight settles soft,
The evening songs begin.
Grass does whisper, trees do sigh,
Leaves on the breeze shall spin.
Closely glimpse among the green,
A dart of crimson red.
Little Kyrii gnome is seen,
Peaked cap on tiny head.

With hefty heave and merry sigh,
The tiny fellow stands.
Crimson tresses, flowing mane,
The wind lifts tumbling strands.
Miniscule, this Kyrii shape,
He lifts a bulging sack.
Gives a wave to last abode,
And heaves it to his back.

With all he owns contained within,
He starts his merry tread.
Through the shadowed garden's path,
He'll wind and slowly thread.
He sings a jaunty moving song,
It's like this every night.
The Kyrii gnome is moving house,
He'll cease at day's first light.

Within the golden sunlit glow,
He's merely just a gnome.
But when the twilight glides along,
He packs up house to roam!
Seeking through the garden green,
A place he can belong.
With sack heaved over tiny back,
He sings his moving song!

"With mighty heave, off I go,
Down where garden pool doth glow.
Moving house, walk and roam,
Seek a place to call my home!"
