The Purple Pound Bruce
By Voldemorts_evil_spy

My job is to be pitiful,
So I sit outside the pound.
I beg people to come inside,
I ask them to look around.

Sometimes when they come back out,
They have a few friends more.
And sometimes they leave that place,
With one less than before.

But no one ever sees me,
As I've been here for a while.
I have to look sad and lonely,
So that other pets can smile.

But the truth is that I'm lonely.
And I want to be taken home.
I want a friend to play with me,
I hope that friend will come.

My feathers are of lavender,
And my orange bow is good.
My tummy is so squishy,
From eating lots of food.

But no one wants to be my friend,
No one wants to play.
So I sit here and hope real hard
That I'll have a home one day.

Call of the Black Pteri
By Anjie

Haunting, eerie comes the cry,
Call lingering and dark.
From creature cast in plumage bleak,
A vision, vile and dark.

Prophesier of the dark,
His cry lurks in the gloom.
A howl of misery so bleak,
That tells of coming doom.

An oracle none wish to glimpse,
Alone and dark, he dwells.
It's sorrow threading through his cry,
Of shadowed times it tells.

Crimson wrath burns in his gaze,
That dwells on all who pass.
Devoid of good, they gleam with rage,
Reflected like cold glass.

Solitude his chosen state,
Pteri perched alone.
Motionless and cold as night,
A beast with heart of stone.

Grief does curdle in his cry,
Dark wings shall slowly span.
An onyx shimmer on display,
Magnificent, the span.

Beware my friends of what you hear,
His cry comes soft and cold.
It chills within the bravest heart,
With shadows he's foretold.

The Black Pteri spreads such fright,
Malicious is this seer.
Be warned my friends, don't seek his word,
For knowledge begets fear.

Kiss the Mortog
By Blackribbonrose

Said the Quiggle to his customer
"Step right up and take your pick
Is it your princess or your prince?
Find out with just a kiss."

Said the customer
"How charming! How sweet!
To think that I might really meat
The man of my dreams!"

Picked a Mortog from a few
Held it tightly in her hands
Shut her eyes, and whispered
"Please be my one true man!"

She lay her lips upon its lips
And gave a light sweet kiss
The Mortog gave a mighty croak
As it changed into a prince

And they went off together
To live their happily ever after
Hand in hand, and cheek to cheek
A perfect match, just so to speak

A young Aisha nearby saw the magic
And said to himself with hope
"Perhaps at last I can find my lady
And then no longer will I mope!"

Said the Quiggle to his customer
"Step right up and take your pick
Is it your princess or your prince?
Find out with just a kiss."

So the Aisha grabbed his pick
A rather bulgy looking thing
And looking into its yellow eyes
"One day you'll wear my wedding ring!"

He closed his eyes, he hoped and prayed
And gently gave a kiss
The Mortog gave a mighty croak
But not one of sweet bliss

Poor Aisha left Meridell that day
With his sad head hanging low
With a deep sigh, he looked up and said
"I guess it just wasn't so."

With purple goo in his fur and clothes
He sadly walked away
Hoping maybe he'd find his princess
Maybe, just maybe, one day.

The Slumbering Snowager
By Taleentheraptor

What thrashing coils of silver snake
Wrap soundly 'bout thy bed
What fantasies and majesties
Engulf thy sleepy head

You hold beneath your glistening scales
A behemoth of jewels
What wonders now reside in here
What hidden ghosts of yule

But look beyond frostbitten earth
And out unto the snow
What havoc such a beast might bring
To tranquil lands below

Thine eyes are shut, this sleep persists
In slumber your walls quake
A fright incomprehensible
Arrives when you awake

Betroth thy soul and sell thy thought
To dreams that none can tell
While I retrieve from baneful nest
A treasure wise and well

Tidal Phantom
By Oliviatonnu

Peaceful waves lap to and fro,
A gentle wind does blow.
Beneath the briny ocean tide,
A silent movement glows.

Thrust of mighty tail is seen,
Flash of perfected fin.
Dappled rays of sinking sun
Vanish, as sky grows dim.

Grotesque clouds loom overhead,
As light draws to an end.
Diamond hooves cut through sea,
Around the ocean bend.

So it starts, the rain pours down,
With crash and mighty roar.
Mellow cry cuts through the storm,
As through the deep, he soars.

Suddenly, clouds flee the scene,
So heavy rain subsides.
Peaceful are the cobalt waves,
So shifting with the tides.

Glimmer breaks the ocean's crust,
Elated leap is seen.
Shimmering form rides wind and sea,
A form so crisp and sheen.

Diving down to ocean home,
A phantom of no flaw.
Child of ocean's soft embrace,
A whisper, nothing more.
