Princess of the Sand
By Keikotoriyamacatnip
Under the blazing Sakhmet sun
Rules a royal chosen one,
Hair the color of Selket wings,
Fur that shines as her golden rings,
Day to day she seems to feel
A longing for excitement revealed,
Looking beyond the palace walls,
A kingdom that shall not fall,
Princess now transformed to queen,
Adorned in praise, command, and sheen,
To protect Sakhmetians in the way,
That King Coltzan III did portray,
Although she desires for more,
Something beyond the palace doors,
Perhaps a journey into Neopian depths,
Where all the land's secrets are kept,
But as long as she is in charge,
Evil will not be left at large,
Assuming that Princess Vyssa does not
Achieve the throne that she would rot,
But all worries set aside,
She still remains somewhat mystified,
The wonder that remains her home,
Where natives and pets come to roam,
Life in the Lost Desert is not so dry,
Except when desert winds blow high,
A palace surrounded by the sand
Could only hold one so grand,
A princess now transformed to queen,
Princess Amira, Sakhmet's dream.

Be Careful What You Wish For!
By Geneames1
I wanted a new paintbrush
To paint my Poogle, Lou
It was to make him Plushie
A really lovely hue
Alas, it was expensive
Too much for my poor purse
But then I had a clever thought
Which made things much, much worse!
I took Lou to the lab ray,
And "ZAP" the job was done
My Lou turned Plushie Poogle...
An MSPP one!
His ruby eyes regarded me
Red embers glowing bright
Then up into my arms he leapt
So he could hug me tight
A twisted smile lit his face
It stretched from ear to ear,
His razor teeth gleamed dully
And he said (so I could hear)
"Oh, thank you, thank you so much!
I know that you'll agree
I'm handsome, soft and cuddly
I LOVE the brand new me!"
So now my sweet Lou stays with me
Sleeps in my room at night,
I put him in the closet
I won't turn off the light
He watches while I slumber
And stays close by my side
I can't tell him he scares me, but
I'm oh so terrified!
So now I'm hoarding Neopoints
And when my saving's done
I'll spend them on a paint brush
A nice, plain Plushie one!

Jazzmosis
By Ngc_5128
Man, listen to that cat wail
Like a dog at the moon; wailing wailing wailing
Starting down low, finishing up high
That way-out Grarrl can move
With cool shades Blumaroo tickles ivories
Makes the joint move
Makes the joint groove
Cool man, cool
bebop badoobop skeetledeebeebop
Hipster Chia; scatman
bop bop bop
bebop badoobop
Blow! Elephante blow!
Dig the sweet, sweet chords
Too smooth sounds
Smoother than silk, flowing like water
Nimmo with the brushes
Brush on skins like brush on canvas
Setting up, knocking down
Framing the set like the artist he is
Lay down that funky groove
Deep like the ocean, heavy like a brick
Kyrii brings down the room
Heavy man, heavy

A Mystery Island Secret
By Psychopsam
As the boat docked softly
In the late hours of the night,
I saw the smoke,
I saw the folk,
I saw fires burning bright.
There it lies all before me,
A peace I never knew
Chanting and singing,
Dancing and swinging,
To an old island tune.
It felt like love at first sight,
Something burning in my heart,
Techo Mountain, flaring,
Native Neopets, caring,
It was much like a world apart.
I was there for an amazing week,
I stayed in a nice wood hut,
'Twas a time to relax,
To get away from the facts,
My office door was completely shut.
Mystery Island was enchanting,
More so than Faerieland,
I wanted to stay,
But I was away,
On a vacation that was oh-so-grand.
I have learned so much from that trip,
That there is no need to fret,
About hatred and gloom,
About the sun and the moon,
But about the happiness of Neopets.

King Kelpbeard
By Plumgrove
Beneath the billowing
blue and breathy bubbles
Of Maraqua's deeply
murky melding meres
Robed in royal cloth,
wreathed with red-gold
Was crowned a Koi king
Kelpbeard against the curse
Of plundering pirates
piercing blessed peace.
Servants and soldiers
in his city bore shields,
Washing waves whispered
words of war
His dreamers drew
visions of darkening days
But he vowed to fight the vicious
villains and rise victorious.
He sent his fierce forces into
the fray towards the foes,
An army arrayed,
armed against their enemies
He commanded them, columns
of fighters came through currents,
Through the swift sea with
sparkling spears and swords
Made from Kelpbeard's metal,
miraculous Maractite
Of it he built beauty, brought
benevolence beneath the sea
Of it he wrought weapons and waged
war, the warrior king
Stood at the center of his city
and sent his soldiers to save
Their refuge rent, now
repaired and renewed
Besieged with battle and brandishing
knives against the boors.
His city of secrets was
surrounded by Scarblade's men
Traitorous prophetesses
and perilous pirates
Set his deftly defended
realm in danger of defeat
King Kelpbeard called for
his helmet and cold cutlass
Teal tiled armor reflected
turning twisting tides
Marvelous Maractite mirrored
the mad and foamy mists
He dared and declared a
duel upon the deadly deck.
Wrath-filled red eyes shone
from the ruinous Revenge
A cruel Captain against the
commanding Koi king Kelpbeard
Blow for blow they battled,
balancing in blue-black waters both
Fell, and Scarblade fled
the fight in a flash of fear.
Whisps of waves sing of the win
The withdrawal of the foe were whispered.
He declared no death, no last attack
from the deep upon the disgraced
No more mire upon the
Maractite shield of Maraqua
Kelpbeard the Koi king
commanded compassion in his land.
