MOEHOG DAY SPECIAL
Promise of the Moehog
By Changee_kunin
A sturdy fellow he,
soldier sage and feral,
hindered by integrity,
his voice be brutal carol.
Both near, far, abound he dwells,
betwixt the soil and brush,
where tusks discover water quelled,
a stream abused, not lush.
Abundant be his kind,
borne up beneath the sun,
selfish naught, nor proud, nor blind,
not easily undone.
He, the Moehog, loner be,
a knight in his own realm,
his friends be land and root, not sea,
his bristled locks his helm.
A creature ill-adored,
lost in the sun's harsh eye,
to one who loves them greatness poured,
a promise yet to die.
These beasts all dwell alone,
martyrs of a nation,
but nary is a one to moan
a sour proclamation.

My Moehog
By Panril
Years have passed since I left him there
With the warden, unsmiling.
Years since I suffered the Disappointment
Of a pink Uni who read my purpose
Long before it left my mouth.
He snuffles in the edges of my mind.
The ever-present tear is laughable no more.
Tail drooping and ears low, Melancholy
Is his new name. The one I gave him ill suits
The mournful creature he has become.
Lovable and silly, he trotted with me, ubiquitous.
In youth we shared such escapades.
Yet I grew tired and called him Trouble.
The silly thing follows me still
And I prove more loyal than I wished to be.
Of the things I most regret -
I have no way of knowing how he fares.
Is he poorly and floundering, prey of Neglect
Or Mohawk tamed and tusks a-polished
Silk-slippered and pampered with care?
He haunts me everywhere.

The Treachery of Morguss
By Angelwater630
You see a Moehog, dressed in rags,
They smell of webs and must,
Overlaid with a simple veil
Of lies and dirt and dust.
Her skin is muddy greenish gray,
Mottled and unkempt;
Her face is turned to look at you,
For power to attempt.
She condescends, but it doesn't show,
Her smile stretches sweet;
A leer that struggles to look benign,
But plainly shows deceit.
"Come with me," her voice suggests,
Holding out an arm;
"I'll show you riches, show you fame,
Power, friends and charm."
"I'll give you gold, I'll give you jewels,
Beyond your wildest dreams;
You'll never be alone again,"
She tempts you as she schemes.
"You'll never grieve or steal or starve,
You'll never be alone;
Fulfill your whims, do as you please,"
Invites the haggard crone.
"I'll give you anything you want,
Give you everlasting life,
You can be immortal if you please,
Leave behind all of your strife."
This Moehog Morguss can make you free,
You can hear that from the start;
But use your judgment, can you trust
A hag without a heart?
The choice remains within your grasp
If you will go or stay:
Will you come with this old hag,
Or back slowly away?

Judge Hog's Justice
By Anjie
Valiant foe to shadowed crime,
A warrior, firm in his prime.
When bleak and dark, the realm's whole plight,
This Moehog stands, prepared to fight.
Evil folk, he's quick to seize,
Red cape caught by the awe-struck breeze.
Against dark forces, firm his grudge,
A Hog, A Hero, and A Judge.
Neopia he shall defend,
Righteous, brave right to the end.
When evil dwells, out goes his call,
"Defend with me!" To one and all.
Crimson mane atop his head,
Matched by that cape of deepest red.
On principles, he'll never budge,
The Hog, the Hero, and the Judge.
Determination on his face,
He'll make the land a better place.
A muscled Moehog, true indeed,
The rescuer of those in need.
No other has gained quite such fame,
That justice seems his middle name.
Away in shame shall villains trudge,
From hog, from hero, from the Judge.
Who will save us from the dark?
When world is shadowed, life is stark.
A Moehog hero hears the call,
With him the realm shall never fall.
As head of evil's bound to rear,
We know Judge Hog will linger near.
He'll leap to fight without a nudge,
Always the hero, hog and Judge.

Morguss
By Plumgrove
A spell of malice wrought on bated breath,
A cloaked witch with fur of poisoned green,
A curse to fill the battlefields with death,
A sorceress in the citadel: a queen.
A Moehog stalks the haunted midnight hour,
Her yellow eyes glow bright with every lie,
She schemes to bring her champions to power,
Her burning, slaying Novas light the sky.
Magic and a graceful dancing daughter,
And hatred are devoted to her task,
To rule and bring an end to foe through slaughter,
Conniving from behind a hood and mask.
Morguss who weaves her venom in a charm,
A Moehog crone intent on doing harm.
