Rink Running Tragedy
By Guineadan

A spectrum of colours whirl around me,
Sweet, caressing chimes of resonating intonation
Dances off the ice debris,
Dancing in its deep desperation.

Gracefully gliding towards to sun,
The judges, filled with emotions mixed,
The aura from my talent shun,
Likely to leave countless transfixed.

This world of indulgence seems too perfect -
Serenity casting deceptive spells.
The inevitability unable to predict,
For the rest of this poem tells.

Steering left and swirling twice
Came my first and last error.
The abrupt sounds of the cracking ice,
The audience, gasping in terror.

I knew I was doomed, for time had slowed
As I toppled from my world of reassurance.
My stomach churned, beginning to implode,
The shock damaging my endurance.

And in this world of deep blue mystery,
A once solitary Goldy swam to me,
"The world up there is now history
The one down here fills all with glee."

Paint Brush on the Floor
By Candystix29

I found a paint brush on the floor
While playing Dice-A-Roo.
I took it to the Rainbow Pool
To see what it would do.

I set my Gelert on the ground
And began to paint his head,
And he started turning grey and brown -
No longer was he red!

He then sprouted gnarled horns
And spikes from head to toe!
I could no longer look at him -
If only I had known!

I had found a Mutant Paint Brush
That day, upon the floor.
And now my lovely Gelert
Was beautiful, no more.

Water and Air
By _Lief

One summer's eve in a pool on a rock,
Sat a lovely Water Faerie with red rose locks,
And emerald green eyes shimmering so,
She swung her topaz blue scale tail to and fro,
The chorus she sang was what enticed me,
For it was as driving as crashing waves at sea.

Her beauty was divine as a clear crystal tear,
And her magic was used for the good of here,
And her blessings and magic together
Make a powerful spell that never weathers,
She would raise a hand or pronounce a spell,
With her she carries healing potions to sell.

With all her beauty and magic can she compete,
With the Air Faerie's grace and singing complete,
For both are as strong
As their elements command,
With Air Faerie in the sky,
And Water Faerie on sand,
Their powers make peace among us friends,
With cheerful faces they make evil here end.

The Air Faerie floats high up on the clouds,
In the wind whistling there her voice sounds,
And you can hear there a request for an item,
But after a quest complete it's hard to find them,
However at the end your reward is just,
It is received after a flick of an Air Faerie's gust.

In the clouds she sings
Above us with golden tune,
With a glance here and there you see her soon,
With wings of translucent clouds and eyes ablaze,
She gives a quick curtsey and is on her way,
Up in the clouds the song fills the air she begins,
"Lonely Neopet far below, I shall see you again..."

My Uni
By Housemousebrigader

I caress his neck of milky blue
And whisper in his silvery ear,
He tosses his fine horned head,
Setting his silky mane a ripple.

I stroke his shoulder of muscled strength
And breathe in his clear scented smell,
He kicks up his heels of silver soft,
And flicks his tail of silky strands.

I sing to the stars from his broad back,
He lifts up his voice to join my song,
His bell like voice a symphony,
A sound of star like wonder.

I laugh with joy at his beauty,
My perfect mount of night the Uni,
But all too soon he sets me down
And then the dream is done.

The Eloquent Elephante
By Mama_miranda

A trunk, a trunk, a mighty curving hunk
of wrinkles and crinkles of skin
that no one quite knows what goes in
Two ears, like kites, float up at heights
that no man could stand though a woman might.
Legs like trees! They fall so hard
and stand so proud an Elephante bard.
With eyes like mine and a tail so fine
it's a wonder at all he can bide the time
to sing to you and rhyme to me,
a soul so daring, don't you see?
This Elephante poet knows, the story
of a tale of woe. Oh, behold... so sad but true
at least it isn't a story of you.
Of olden days and mighty foes
of liars and crooks, battles and books.
and potions galore, oh the highs and lows!
So listen close, as he weaves his thread.
Just don't let yourself stare
at his gigantic head.
