KYRII DAY SPECIAL
Darigan Kyrii
By Swift7373
The waves they crash against the side
Of gaping cliffs made from the tide
Atop this cliff, with grass is lined
And search hard there and you may find
A shadow sitting there alone
Red eyes chill you to the bone
Looking sadly at the moon
He howls softly in the gloom
Slowly you approach the beast
In his lament, sadness released
He turns his head; you see him cry
And see the scar upon his eye
His wings they spread, alarmed and scared
He looks at you, armed with glares
You see a tortured soul inside
That's lurking there, trying to hide
A once familiar beast this was
Kyrii perhaps, you think and pause
Respectfully you back away
And leave him to his lonely ways.

The Desert Kyrii
By Silver_spiderlilies
In the flitting dusts of Qasala
Where copper orb sweats overhead
There resides a beauty with no par
An elusive creature, it is said
She has slim fingers
Slender, svelte
And spiced scent lingers
On her pelt
Her step is dainty
Voice is sweet
Laced with flow'ry
Tinkling bits
Her almond eyes are lashed with kohl
And ochre hair faint-tinged with gold
Thin bronze circlets hug her skin
Which is sleek-furred with sepia sheen
This Queen, she sits 'pon burnished throne
Draped with silks midst scarabs' drone
Circled by gently-breezing fans
Embellished with soft-swinging gems
The Desert sun dips
In the bronze bowl of sky
A hand she dost flip
And attendants' feet fly
To the watered bordeaux
The beauty withdraws
As the lazuline hue
Leaves the sky's yawning maw
Wispy hem fleets 'round the veil
And she leaves, she of royalty
Her perfume wafts and lingers still
The bronzed, regal Desert Kyrii

Darigan Kyrii
By Voldemorts_evil_spy
His fur was charred, his teeth were sharp,
He burned with writhing hate.
A prisoner of war, he was,
His home a metal crate.
He had no friends, he lived alone,
Behind his walls of steel,
The Kyrii had a burning glare,
A wound he couldn't heal.
The spines on his back, the horns on his head,
Were part of his disguise.
He didn't choose this life of pain,
This horrid life of lies.
For he didn't live within a cage,
His home was made of stone.
The cage he lived in was himself,
And he was all alone.
He couldn't get away from it,
No matter where he went.
No one saw his saddened soul,
Past the body that was bent.
So when his holdiay had come,
He hid beneath his rage.
Kyrii day would come and go,
And he'd still be in his cage.

The Desert Thief
By Anjie
Sakhmet stands on arid plains,
So sweltering, the heat.
Within the city markets spread,
Alive with desert beat.
The shouts of vendors from each stand,
Their calls do echo, loud.
And in the heat of desert realm,
A thief sneaks through the crowd.
A Kyrii lad, by name of Stan,
So sneaks through market stalls.
The life on Sakhmet's streets is hard,
For now, his hunger calls.
In tattered garb he keeps down low,
Intense, his scanning gaze.
A store unmanned his target here,
He peers through humid haze.
A table stacked with purple fruit,
Ummagines, stacked high,
Stan's eyes light up, his prize is found,
So thrilled, he slinks on by.
A snatch and grab, he makes his move,
That fruit found in his paw.
A dash for freedom must be made,
Or stay, and face the law.
The vendor yells, and guards appear,
Our Kyrii lad does dart.
As fun as lingering may be,
For now, best to depart.

The Shadow Kyrii
By Edc886
A traveller, he is once more,
A tear rolls down his cheek,
A proper home, he'll never find,
Another place he'll seek.
No family he'll ever get,
No friends, just enemies,
His dreams, once more, he shall forget,
From Meridell he flees.
He had a home, once before,
A sister and a mother,
Of course, that time, it is no more,
No longer he's a brother.
He knows they're living in Sakhmet,
Although he lives in shadow form,
Another family he won't get,
So continues in the storm.
From Meridell, he's been and gone,
The gold shine fades from his eyes,
His mind keeps saying "Go on, go on..."
But there, the Kyrii lies.
To weak to carry on in rain,
He lies there, in disgrace,
All that he can feel is pain,
And a warm hand, touching his face.
Illusen cured him, with all her magic,
But could not lift the curse he's upon,
And, still the end, as guessed, isn't tragic,
For the Kyrii must go on.
A wandering, no place to go,
No place he's looking for,
The place he found, he didn't know,
Until Sakhmet he saw.
No family he'll ever get,
No friends, just enemies,
His dreams, once more, he shall forget,
Until Sakhmet he sees.
He broke away from steady pace,
Though darkened form he will remain,
A smile spread across his face,
For he had returned home again.
