The Space Faerie
By Lacieskywalker

Look up, beyond the twilight sky,
Beyond the land of faeries,
Beyond the sight of mortal eye,
Where sun's last light doth tarry.

What angel voice warms the dark
That no light ever kissed?
What blazing beauty leaves her mark
So bright upon the mists?

She, the faerie rarely seen,
That makes cold space her home,
Commissioned by the lovely queen
To govern stars alone.

Does she ever crave the light
That only morning brings?
Does she, within her endless night,
Long for brighter things?

As the new dawn heralds day
And sunlight paints the air,
In blackest space she must stay,
With starlight in her hair.

Neopia: A Tainted Tapestry
By Numbertwelve

Though woven from the essence of light,
Within the world dwells dark and blight,
Twisted through like poison thread,
Around its edge live things we dread.

The brilliant tapestry of Neopian life,
Tainted by a malevolent strife,
That brings forth evil to the land,
Upon which the benevolent Neopians stand.

All was calm for many a year,
Until the Monoceraptor -- an embodiment of fear,
Tore through Tyrannia
Like the blackest of storms,
Brought to life in a most horribly monstrous form.

But the goodness, at last, overcame great evil,
The Monoceraptor fell and the lands grew still,
Yet the taint was spreading once again,
In Meridell, in the form of one Lord Darigan.

He too was defeated and in the end redeemed,
But despite all the good,
This great Neopian tapestry
Is never as it seemed,
The tiny threads of poison
Laid upon its brilliant face,
Spreading to Maraqua, Terror Mountain,
And even the blackest depths of outer space.

Shall the tapestry ever be freed
From all the evil, malignance and greed,
That spreads over calm lands
With a terrible force,
Leaving brave Neopians with but a single course?

And so those that are pure of heart and soul,
Train mind and body with a single goal:
To keep Neopia's tapestry sewn with tales,
Of the goodness which fights,
And most often prevails.

The Secret Laboratory
By Vpshorsechic18

Paws and feathers shake in fear,
Foreheads bead in sweat.
The crazy doctor inches near,
"Come close, my Neopet!"

He runs around at maddening pace,
Buttons, switches pressed
He looks closer in your face,
"I'm crazy!" he confessed.

ZAAAPP the ray is fired,
You cringe and close your eyes.
Your breathing has respired,
But there came a great surprise.

No longer plain and boring,
You're a faerie, what a shock!
Now dream of days of soaring,
And thank that crazy doc.

The Guardians
By The_ghoul_family

Deep inside the faerie cave
lies the secret of the maze.
Winding sharply back and forth,
no one must find the secret stored!

Spells are cast to keep it safe.
Evil sleeps must never wake.
Guardians hover high above...
to keep it safe from harm with love.

The secret lies within a box,
this must stay sealed at any cost.
For in the box evil is stored;
to let it lose may end our world.

The guardian faeries are never seen,
they live their lives in the between.
Please do not let their secret out,
Neopian happiness will be our reward.

Dance of the Sunset
By Laurelinden

The fire-faeries glow now candle-like;
Tiny orange pricks amid the trees.
Once-bursting light is dim now, flickering;
Once-flying forms kneel soft upon their knees.

The air-faeries do hum now whisper-like;
The breeze is now a gentle brushing touch.
Once-roaring wind is low now, muttering;
Once-shaking trees now quiver not so much.

The earth-faeries do doze now dreaming-like;
A shadow covers grasses and the leaves.
Once-absorbing green now takes its rest;
Once sun-banished darkness now relieves.

But darkness-faeries do now come awake,
For night follows the colors of the sky.
Its vivid colors fade to blue and black;
And sprinklings of stars appear up high.
