Neopets Birthday Eve

Tomorrow was mid-November,
Noted the fire faerie called Ember.
She put down her ball, and stood up
To fetch her china coffee cup.

On it she drew beautiful cards
And many words of kind regards.
Cakes went on next, and then cocktails
And last came a lot of Slorgs' trails.

Mid-November, on the morrow,
Lots of things I'll need to borrow.
On her desk was Flotsam Ferry
Feasting on a plate of berries.

On the desk, she laid some papers
And drew some designs of drapers.
Last of all, on cloth she sewed
While outside weather lightly snowed.

What is tomorrow? You may ask.
That is something no one can mask.
Tomorrow is a day of worth
To celebrate Neopets' birth!

Tomorrow, six will Neopets turn,
And the good food will all return
Just for one day, but that's enough,
So enjoy all the great great stuff!

Swim the seas and ride the sand,
Travel far throughout this land,
But one thing shall mark this day,
From pesky weed to great bouquet.

It is the time to have some fun,
Feeling merry it has begun,
As through the day we feast and play,
And through the night watch fiery array.

But after all of that has passed,
Comes the time so close at last,
So for now each holds their sounds,
As chime upon their ears now pounds.

And as the crowds that gather cheer,
The clock is chiming it draws near,
And then at final strike they unfold
For Neopets is another year old!

Tired from the events of this day,
Each soon leaves with sleep to pay,
And merry chuckles on the gale,
So far are now but memories pale.

The table's laid out,
A scrumptious buffet,
A pile of presents,
And a balloon display.

Tension's in the air,
As excitement mounts,
A hug and a kiss,
(It's the thought that counts)!

The friends arrive,
Row after row,
The cake is enormous!
With candles aglow.

Everybody shush!
It's a birthday surprise
For the Neopets Team,
The best we could devise.

Oh! Here they come!
Everyone shout, "Hooray!"
For it's finally here --

Happy Birthday Neopets

Six whole years of Neopets!
To that, I make this rhyme.
An ode to changes, games and plots,
All spread across this time.

From a Chia to a Draik,
From Krawk to Bori, too.
We love them all, those Neopets.
From Kau to Blumaroo!

A pirate tale, a desert plot!
And Meridell at war!
At the end, we wonder still,
What could next be in store?

The paintbrushes have changed as well,
From white, to pink, to royal.
Demand is high, to get one grand,
And well worth all that toil!

The villains too, now number more,
But Sloth still gets a shout.
Luckily, we've hero's, too,
To balance it all out!

A haunted fairground now exists.
A land of Jelly? No!
A fountain envied very much,
Where all pets wish to go!

Lots more shops, a trading post,
And new worlds, one by one.
A citadel that floats in cloud,
A desert, baked by sun.

A tower hidden in the skies,
Where items rare do gleam.
To buy from it, a costly task!
But hey, we all can dream!

Asparagus and piles of dung,
A meerca made of... snot?
Six-eared cats, Dubloons and more!
And next? We can't guess what!

So Happy Birthday, Neopets!
Six years old at last!
