Found... Lost

The lost is found, yet lost again.
We search through time, we sift through sand.
History repeated? Maybe so.
Time will tell. Soon we'll know.

As turns the Hour Glass filled with sorrow.
Will the sun rise? Will there be a tomorrow?
Will memories and ruins be all that remains?
Will the mighty Lost Desert be ever the same?

Footsteps across the sacred sands
Lead away from the city into no-man's-land.
Across away from the beautiful oasis
That once had flourished and held many faces.

Gone are the faces, the people, their lives.
The city has fallen into its own demise.
Gone are the buildings sacred as stone.
The sky's even changed with a less glowing tone.

Will again come the days of the Desert of Glory?
Will this all just be passed down
In the form of a story?
A Story of tough times of tears and of woe,
Time holds the answer we all want to know.

The Time of the Faeries

A mellow night, a crescent glow
As light on surface beams;
A swooning charm, a field of stars --
Carved paths of hidden dreams.

The breath of wind -- a lulling spell
That spirals from the deep;
The dance of starlight, silver shards
When sun is set in sleep.

And as the shadows writhe and reap
Upon trees' laden boughs;
The branches stir with silent breeze
As sheltered beings rouse.

A turn of heel, the flap of wings
As shadowed figures rise;
As from their place they drift and glide
To dance beneath night skies.

A Wish Upon Kreludor

Who looks upon the starry sky
And often asks the reason why
The moon's so far away.

Kreludor, I see you there,
Suspended high up in the air,
But most like I would rather care
About their work than play.

But I, a roving spirit, hold
The hope that, someday, t'will unfold
That I, too, make the brave and bold
Endeavor into space.

This humble pauper still will try
To reach the zenith of the sky,
And then, that Kreludor and I
Will smile, face-to-face.

These creatures not awakened still,
Small pet of all sizes and shapes,
But what about the evil makes?

Throughout the night the night I stalk at will,
Through climates that would make you ill,

Sucking blood like a leech.

Shadow-black and purple too,
I never have tried to hurt YOU,
But if I must and if I like,
Then I will give a deadly bite.

I seem to glide on leathery wings.

Hunting down the daring fools.

Small and puny, weak and pink.
I give a nasty wink.
Pull the trigger, squeeze the cap,
And them you're squealing like a cat.
I may give you babyhood,
But for some -- that's really not good.
Aha, I am Little Boochi,
To all you Kaus now going 'moo-chi'!

See, not all pets are good and brave,
Some are scary, some are crazed,
Others are just plain not fazed,
With being good,
With having heart,
It's not just Mystery Island Mart.

Fearful creature takes his flight.

Talons of lightning,
Liquid eyes a-darting.

Silent agility,
Darkened antiquity.

Fear rises from the air,
Though he stirs not a hair.

Tornado rises from on high,
Soundless shadows now draw nigh.

And stillness falls
At his calls,

Bird of twilight's echo fills the air.
