FAERIE FESTIVAL

Ode to Faeries, Part One
By Silver_frost_5579

Cold as ice, yet soft as snow.
Grey clouds cover the clear blue skies.
When she approaches, you'll always know.
On silver winds and dreams she flies
Across the blizzards and barren lands.

Spirits torn and hope is dead.
With each passing day the sadness spreads
The soul is broken, shattered, and torn.
Her tears are shed, yet still she cries,
And prays for the light she'll never find.

Darkness falls, night is looming,
Wicked creeps through cracks in the walls.
Sensing the hatred in others hearts,
She preys upon the weak, without mercy,
Without remorse.
She is the darkness, fear, and decay.

Clear, bright skies, and the summer breeze.
On invisible currents,
She floats through the heavens,
Silently protecting those in her care.
Winds are gliding over the earth,
And with them she guides
The air, to calm and cool the blazes.

Deep in the mystical forests,
Way up in the trees,
The guardians of the forest,
As free as they please.
The givers of life, of earth, and plenty.
Step light through the green shadows, rarely seen
But never heard.

The Drenched
By Schefflera

Three elusive faeries find you
When you've had your closest shave;
We're seen only by the sailors
Who approach an ocean grave.

We will rise and soon surround you
As the brine does lap and lave,
And our arms we'll wrap around you;
You will find the rest you crave

Cease to kick and cease to struggle
As we drag you under wave.
Draw in water, stay forever--
Did you think we came to save?

Memories of a Faerie
By Magtiles

Long, long ago,
when rivers just began to form,
when birds just started
to learn the nature song,
when mountains were still young,
we were there.

Between child forests we dreamed,
among first blossoms we rested,
but above all, we were there.

Trees chanted with themselves,
pastures resembled seas,
and watching over all, we were there.

And after so many years,
the tales are still the same.
After so many years,
we are still there.

For we are faeries,
forest children,
we are faeries,
the light given.

The Drenched of the Deep
By Hermionechochang

Whispers of evil
Resonate through the waters.
Beware witches three.

Never to belong,
Cast away by their own kind,
Haunting the oceans.

Trio of faeries
With eyes that harshly glitter
And dragon's talons.

Beauty gone awry,
Clear on the smug visages,
Contorted with vice.

Ominous clouds form.
Ships are tossed by monstrous waves.
Swirling shadows rise.

They surface for prey
Amidst the howling chaos
Where darkness now reigns.

Crashing waves reveal
The souls who are cast away
Far from serene shores.

The creatures strike out,
Saturated in hushed sins.
Pity their victims.

What fate for these beings?
Lost in a watery world,
Ravaging the seas.

So a word to ye
Who dare take on the blue deep:
The Drenched await thee.

Psellia
By Songful

When night writhed over Meridell
And all hopes were betrayed;
When greatest hero seemed outdone
A marvel came to aid.

In form of faerie she appeared
And swooped down from the skies;
She cast the scene a solemn glance --
A sparkle in her eyes.

No hope there stood for Meridell
As peril ahead lay;
On battlefield all chaos vent --
The good caught in the fray.

A clash, a clang, a piercing cry,
As form from ramparts fell;
And all who looked in horror heard
The hero's fading yell.

But from her place the faerie saw --
He fell from where he fought;
With graceful sweep to him she came
Who in her arms she caught.

And out of harm she carried him
A knight loyal and brave;
But still to Meridell she flew
To help the fair lands save.

And as the darkness caved to light
And shadows fell away;
Each wrathful cloud was blown apart
To make for sunlight's way.

Of Psellia little was heard
But one thing remained true;
Of her the stories are now told --
She helped the hope come through.
