Faerie Cloud Racers:
More Than Just a Game!

By Stormoak

The crowd below roars and cheers,
Their delight resounds within my ears.
I sit up straight, tall and steady,
Double-checking that my winged racer is ready.

As the word "Go!" penetrates the vast blue sky,
The crowds blur and pass me by.
I weave left and right, and suddenly pale,
For in front of me is my own smoke trail!

I refuse to lose and turn sharply right,
I won't give up without a fight!
There she is, that cunning fire faerie,
Her smoke trails aren't that scary!

As our racers pass, I hear a ZOOM!
The sky rink is running out of room!
Seeing her racer, I box her in,
The fire faerie has been beaten, and I am to win!

My next opponent is my sister of space,
I will win without any haste!
She looks at me with those calm, glaring eyes,
I'll triumph this round,
No matter how hard she tries.

And then to my dismay,
It looks as if the round has gone her way.
There I am, trapped in a smoke trail;
I scream and yell and begin to wail.

Never have I, a dark faerie, been so humiliated!
How could life have been so fated?
I'll show Neopia, I'll show my sisters!
Just you wait and see,
When all of Neopia is controlled by me!

The victory of Faerie Cloud Racers
Shall be mine alone,
For if you win, I'll cast a spell,
And make you sick and far from well!

Jelly Chia's Story
By Sandbar

Deranged confectioner Wizzle--
He's the one who gave me life.
He raised me, read me stories,
Then came at me with a butter knife.

It was little me against big him,
So I lunged up at his face,
And enveloped him within;
He dissolved without a trace.

I didn't want to hurt him,
But had to in self-defense;
When he began to lick his lips,
My fear became immense.

To think, he was my mentor,
Wizzle was my friend,
But in the end he got a bit too hungry,
And it was me I had to defend.

Fyora
By OrginalCliche

Dipped in lavender,
Tarnished by only the glare
Of the sunlight on the fragile wing,
And tumbling indigo ringlets so fair.

A fragile harmony,
Where dissonance once lay,
The sweet sound of sympathy,
Like only she can play.

A symbol of joy
To shed truth on the deepest lies;
On a faerie's indigo wings--
That is how hope flies.

The Wheel of Monotony
By Fireglobe99

As I spin the Wheel of Monotony,
I slowly start to doze.
I watch the wheel go 'round and 'round,
And 'round and 'round it goes.

I watch the pictures spin--
A rock, a bag, and more,
But will it ever stop?
I am getting rather bored.

My Yurble snuggles up to me,
As he takes a nap.
His fur is nice and soft,
He lies upon my lap.

And as I close my eyes,
The wheel begins to stop,
Yet I do not notice,
As my lids begin to drop.

I snore softy as I sleep,
The wheel has finally ceased,
And my Yurble and I jump with fright,
As we are transported into the Lair of the Beast.

Tarla the Ixi
By Kellisan

"Crazy ol' Tarla!" is what they cried,
As the brave Ixi set off through the snow.
"What a dumb place to set up shop!"
But she was determined to go.

She stubbornly climbed
To the top of Terror Mountain,
Her hooves so cold they turned blue.
She didn't learn about the mountain stairs,
Until Mika and Carassa came
To say, "How do you do?"

Her little shop was quite the mess,
But she cleaned it as best she could.
Then with help from her two Chia neighbors,
They painted the shop's dingy wood.

The three stepped back to admire their work.
"Oh, it's beautiful!" Tarla had to shout.
"Your sign says 'Shop of Mystery,'" Mika read.
"What's that all about?"

The red Ixi giggled and pointed to a corner.
She said, "Look at all those bags!
You won't know what's in one until you buy it.
It could be a rare item or a bunch of rags!"

Mika and Carassa stared at her in amazement.
"I want to buy one!" they both yelled in a rush.
Carassa opened her bag and found a pretty comb;
Mika walked away with a new paint brush.

So if you're ever at Terror Mountain,
And find you have some Neopoints to spare,
Visit Tarla at the Shop of Mystery;
You never know what you'll find there.
