All In a Day's Work
By Superdude7137

At the top of the world
Lies a frosty ice glacier,
That's home to the Neggery,
And the lair of the Snowager.

As I stand at the bottom,
Gazing up to the jagged top,
I know it will be rough,
But there's no way I can stop.

I've made it so far,
With rare items in hand;
I have finally completed
The faerie Taelia's challenging errand.

I'm tempted by the Snow Wars,
I wish I could stop to shop,
But no, my time is almost up,
I have to reach the top.

As I spot her house,
My excitement shoots up to the skies,
For now I am positive,
I will receive my rare prize.

A knock on her door, and out she comes;
"Oh, thank you!" she says and sets on the floor...
Wow! A snowball, Neopoints, and a rare item!
I couldn't have asked for more!

The Ghost Lupe
By Burn_misosoup

Long ago a crew set sail
On stormy seas that did soar;
'Twas on an island starts this tale,
When the mighty ship was swept ashore.

Robbed were the lives of half the party,
When deep dark seas devoured them under;
Shipmates feared for their lives departing
As the ship was rent asunder.

Sylva, among his faithful bevy,
Fought the vengeful tempest's wiles;
Each crewmember's heart was heavy,
Sad and weary from their trials.

They took cover 'neath the trees,
That stirred with anger in the gales;
Crewmates a-tossing with unease,
And would awake to cryptic wails.

Sylva woke up with a start,
And found six mates knocked out and tied,
Fear and anger gripped his heart;
Among them lay his future bride.

A vengeful rage possessed his senses,
He charged with hatred in his chest,
The natives came to their defenses;
He fell with arrows in his breast.

Now he roams the moonlit beaches,
Searching vainly for his bride;
He cries aloud from gusty reaches,
Aross the ebbing of the tide.

Each island night the Ghost Lupe prowls,
Full of bitterness and haunting pain.
On sandy tropic shores he howls
That he holds his love, once again.

Forgotten Faerie
By Sango_brunette

Inside Maraqua
Lies a faerie,
Without a thought,
Without a memory.

Made of stone,
Her heart still beats
From time to time,
Still never speaks.

She must've had
A horrid past,
To lie behind
A rock-like mask.

We've never heard
Of why she stays
In a concealed
Concrete cage.

A beautiful jewel
Around her neck
Shines and glistens
Without a speck.

Suppose it was from
A past love,
Or a past friend
From up above.

We don't know what faerie
She might have been;
Maybe fire,
Maybe light.

We'll probably never know,
Until the day
She's revived from stone,
And freed away...

The Three
By Mysticdarkangel

Greed, revenge, and ambition
Were plotting their next tale.
Such dark power did they hold,
You would be wise not to fail,
If a quest were ever asked of you.

During dark and dire times,
The Three would approach
The troubled kings and queens
Who had no other hope.
The rulers, having no other choice, obeyed.

Temporary happiness they did bring
To those who were desperate.
They whispered great lies of glory,
Ambition, greed, and revenge.
They gave you the power to do all things evil.

They were the little voice
In the back of your mind,
Controlling and deceiving,
Until you were blind,
From this they plunged all nations into war.

But if you did not complete
The quest of the Three,
Oh, what a terrible fate awaits!
They stripped you of everything you used to be,
And dragged you away forever,
Never to be seen again.

Such was the fate for many,
So if you ever come across
A Skeith, a Gelert, and a faerie,
Together dressed in dark robes,
Run for your life!
Before they prey upon your soul.

Lost City of Geraptiku
By Mirrors_of_love

All the time in the world,
But none for me to spare,
As I arrive in this deserted place,
I stop, I look, I stare.

All the huts are ruined,
Community buildings sacked;
I stop, I stare, I wonder,
By whom were they attacked?

Were they attacked at all,
Or were they driven away?
I stop, I stare, I wonder,
Every minute of every day...

Something calls me back,
I turn around, think and swallow;
I can't help wondering,
Why was this place made hollow?

I walk away from the place,
I walk away from the gate,
I walk away from sorrow,
And don't think or hesitate.

I join the trail south,
I shrug my pack a little higher,
I wonder all the way to the coast,
But my brain seems to be on fire.

Days pass,
Years fall,
And the Neopets of that village,
Never had anyone at all....
