Holden (Deconstruction Of A Cool Kau) By fondarobingraves

Holden and I with matching berets
matching sunglasses, matching smiles.
He and I- two of a kind
in the smokey club
rhythmic nodding of our heads
in sync
to the bebopping
Neopian jazz...
Holden takes his coffee black
I take mine with sugar
sometimes he sings while
I play on my bongos, man.
He sways back and forth
back and forth.
We're mellow
my Kau and I
in our nifty
hep black turtlenecks
I scratch his back
he scratches mine, baby.
Yeah.
skee bop beedle-dee-dee bop
dabba skabba doo doo doo
Sometimes I sit back
hip and quiet like
and wonder if
old Jack Kerouac
ever had a funky
four footed friend while
he was writing "On The Road."
"...Naturally,"
my with-it Kau replies,
"that is why it turned out
so coooooooool."

Forever More By mhorsey

The wind blows along faerie village,
Where the faeries dwell,
No matter their age.
The faeries will be in peace,
Well for a thousand years at least.
The spinning wheels
Will spin to the same beat,
The weaving faeries' places
Will always be in the same seat.
The neggs at the neggery
Will be sold and traded after all.
The negg faerie will be
at the stall, forever more.
The castles are covered with vines,
the faeries' fates lie upon the same line.
The call of the wind
rustling through the leaves of trees so tall,
The earth faerie will be planting them, forever more.
Their stories are still told,
the stories, changing, none are old.
The faeries stories strange to the core,
but are remembered, forever more.

The Abandoned By sheep_rulez

The harsh winds blew,
rain drops fell,
thunder clouds loomed over the sky.
Then, the little pet saw
joyous Kikos splashing in puddles.
They all had collars,
in different variety,
some round, some square,
some blue, some red,
the little pet glanced
at its thin, scruffy neck,
alas, there was none.
The pet ran to the shade,
seeing happy faces
on the bouncing Chias, Blumaroos and Cybunnies
through the window outside.
Seeing them, it felt sad,
its heart sunk to the deepest ever.
Then, two warm, loving hands
lifted that poor creature up
and put on a shiny new collar on it.
Oh, much joy it must have felt,
its smile beamed from ear to ear.

Innocence By katieb87

She drifted in and out of sleep
like waves, rolling across the ocean.
Her eyes fluttering open, as flowers would,
spreading their beauty to the world.
This is innocence.
As we grow it slips,
like water through our fingers,
most of us not knowing how to cup our hands
and hold this precious substance.
Slowly it evaporates in to the earth like a dream,
long forgotten by a child,  waiting,
waiting for someting to pick it up.
To cup it in their palm and take their one sip,
then being passed around to the next,
so please, take your sip,
so one day i might have mine.
