All murky and blue
A flash of white,
Orange, and purple, too!
Swimming, curving, quick with ease,
Caring naught who you are,
Just willing to please,
A twist, a turn,
A trick that's quick to learn.
Long whiskers upon its face,
Only add to their beauty and grace.
Sharp spines adorn their back,
Making up for the wings they lack,
They still fly, just not the way you think,
It's true, really, now don't blink,
For the water's their sky,
See, they don't like the dry,
And would rather play
In the sea all day.
Where they can have their fun,
And look up to the sun,
Until the next flash...
Then they are gone.

Questing to liven
Our humble abode
I trooped to the Desert
In reluctant shopping mode
