Pirate Caves of Doom
By Buurin

Although it's only a trial version for now
I love "Pirate Caves of Doom"... and how!
Hannah the Usul is the star of the show
She can jump, she can swim,
Oh just look at her go!

Hannah shoots arrows
With grace, ease, and charm
She can roll boulders quite far
To get her out of harm.
To play this game is just such a pleasure
Especially when Hannah finds
Those chests of treasure.

A truly great hero
Is what this game really needs
And Hannah the Usul
Has more skill and more speed
Than any other pet in our Neopian land
I want to be the next member
Of Hannah's brave band!

So I'll sit here and wait
For this beloved game of mine
And when it comes out,
I'll be the first one in line!
And Hannah and I will swim, jump, and run
Together as partners... together as one!

Mootix
By Xaunt

Scuttling, scurrying quickly across,
Weaving through obstacles,
Making a path and clearing it through,
Four stubby little legs moving faster.

Mootix everywhere, buzzing about,
Hopping up and down and all around,
They stop; the surface is shaking.
Two, three, now four are gone!

The Petpet is itchy!
They'd better slow down, being careful,
Now going slower, these Mootix still jump,
Having some fun, at this Petpet's expense.

Bubbles, bubbles, everywhere,
Lathering the Petpet's fur,
Mootix sliding off quickly,
Some trying to hold on.

The Petpet shakes in a fuss,
It wants them off,
The last of them fall, gone.
No more Mootix, no more.

Warf Rescue
By Violetmidnight

Hark! What is that I see?
Some poor little Kadoaties up in that tree!
Oh, woe! Oh, help! What can be done?
Can't someone help? Oh, anyone?!

Then there! Look there!
Heading towards that tree!
A group of Warfs walk so bravely!
Their catapult's set up at the base of the trunk
And they strap on their parachutes
With vigor and spunk.

A light shines deep in these brave Warfs' eyes,
They're dedicated, though
There's no reward or prize.
They care only for the Kadoaties' safety,
And wish only to get them down from that tree.

Selfless Warfs leap onto the stack
Launching from the catapult,
Parachute on their back.
Climbing up the oak, ash, or birch,
They carefully pull the Kadoaties
From their perch.

Each day this group sets out to free
Kadoaties that are stuck so helplessly
High up in a prison of tree.
These Warfs are heroes, it's easy to see.

At the end of the day,
The Warfs are homeward bound,
They're exhausted, but they make not a sound.
A silent aura they do ordain,
These strong Petpets refuse to complain.

There should be medals
For their mettle.

Neopian Cuisine
By Too_kule

It looks all sticky and rough,
Yet it's really known as The Stuff,
It'll double in size,
Causing a surprise,
When your pantry is filled with this fluff!

Blairnuts are covered with hairs,
Therefore attracting many stares,
It's hard as a rock,
Could be used as a block,
So everyone's happy to share.

Snorkle pudding is a crime,
You couldn't save Snorkie this time,
Just pull out the legs,
Place in garbage bags,
Which leaves a red bowl of black slime.

Don't forget the PIZZA OF DEATH,
Man, this pizza's the best!
Eat up, you'll be full,
Don't eat the big skull,
It's known to give nasty bad breath.

Eat a whomp berry or two,
Try alone or in a rich stew,
They taste just like grape,
But you can't escape,
The fact that they smell of old shoes.

Every Spring
By minnikkata

It was a very peaceful day in the village.
Pets had been working well into the day.
They began to head home for some sleep.
Too bad they didn't know
what was heading their way.

It started as a low and quiet rumble,
then the ground began to shake.
Pets dropped whatever they were doing,
miners their picks, housekeepers their rakes.

On the horizon of the setting sun,
a wave of deep black was forming.
They advanced on the small village,
and then they started swarming.

Pets ran in a mad dash for their houses.
They clumsily locked their doors,
and closed the windows tight.
The little black things began to explore.

Four red eyes on its face,
and legs, long and hairy.
To anything they encounter,
they seem very scary.

The Spyders march through,
covering the village in black.
They are always heading forward,
and never once looking back.

Before the sun finishes setting,
the things march by.
Nothing is broken or damaged,
so the relieved villagers let out a sigh.

The Spyders travel every spring.
But whoever they pass by,
is always left with one question.
Why?
