GRARRL DAY SPECIAL

A Chance Meeting
By Aornishades

Out walking in Tyrannia,
A bright and sunny day,
My feet decided to go down,
A new and unknown way.

The way was raw and wintry,
Even in that desert place,
Which made me even more surprised
When I found a lone shoelace.

I followed the trail of laces,
Of scraps of cloth and claws,
When I chanced upon a vision
That deafened me with its roars!

What I had seen was not a vision,
It was a real living thing!
'Twas a lonely Grarrl in pain,
Exiled by his oppressive king.

I soothed him with a lullaby,
And urged him, "Tell me, please!
For I can help you, yes! I can!
And you'll be free to roam among the trees."

Coaxing the tale out of him,
Was not an easy task,
Each time I was close to getting the gist,
His voice put on a mask.

But with the right solution,
In this case a yummy treat,
Getting info out of a Grarrl
Is such an easy feat.

He told me his life story,
Of how there he came to be,
So saddened by his story
I was, so I took him home with me.

Now my dream is fulfilled,
For I have my very own pet!
My Grarrl to cuddle and to play-fight with,
I'm so very glad we met!

Adopt a Grarrl Today!
By Madaboutorange

I went into the pound today
And even though it's sad to say
I saw a little Grarrl all alone
Trying to live and survive on its own

It heard me come in, my footsteps on the ground
And its big, lonely blue eyes looked all around
Until they met mine, looking isolated and depressed
And I knew that if I took him home it would be best

So I cuddled the baby Grarrl in my small hands
And walked up to the pink Uni,
But she had some demands
She said that I would have to
Give it all my love and care
And teach it to be kindhearted and to be fair

She wanted to make sure
It would be joyous all the time
I vowed that it would be
And she gave me some papers to sign
The most important thing
Was for it to never be alone
And for it to always belong in my home

And that's the way it is and will always be
It will always be safe, loved and happy
So show your passion in every way
And go adopt a Grarrl today!

The Grarrl
By Pianoru

                                  The             Grarrl,
                        as invulnerable as he seems,
has a softer side that many cannot see
they see his sharpened claws, gleaming teeth
they hear his deafening roar of triumph or anger
and they think that these senses reveal the truth
that the Grarrl is a savage beast without a heart
but no,           deep inside this mighty creature
      I                     can see something more
                              something that not many                          people
look deep and hard enough                         to see,
perhaps that only those who love                 a Grarrl
would take the time to search for the               inner qualities
that they hide from their opponents, from         all the world
they want the world to see what               they project,
their tough exterior, their fierce image,            and so they
deny everything else inside, they lock it               deep within
so that, after a while, even they don't realize that                it is still there
calling to them to be true to their inner voice, to show             the part of their
souls that they have been taught always to bottle up             inside their hearts
But their owners and friends can catch a rare glimpse, every now and then, of
the feelings they endeavor to hide, the sensitivity that they must always deny
Maybe someday, a Grarrl will come forth with the courage to believe in himself
the strength to tear down inner walls and break free of the prison of tradition
and then the world will see that the true strength of a Grarrl lies not only in
his might and skill in battle, but that it comes from the truth, from what
is inside, from integrity of conviction! Then the Grarrl will truly be free!

Ode To Warrior
By Spikes_redemption

My pet _Fanged_Warrior_ is a Grarrl.
He's very big, and very tall.

He'll eat most anything in sight.
One time he ate the kitchen light.

His Petpet Spikey is an Uggatrip.
One time he made _Fanged_Warrior_ slip.

When Warrior roars the walls all shake.
And even the bravest pets start to quake.

With snapping jaws and swiping claws,
He's nearly impossible to beat...
Oh perfect. He just ate a piece of street.

He is a terror in the Battledome,
He makes the challengers wish they'd stayed home.

Right now we're saving up to paint him,
Halloween or Darigan.
We can't decide it's just so hard...
And he just ate his brother's sword.

Warrior is very large and mean
(Or at least that's how he seems).
If you get to know him, though,
I think you'll agree,
He is the perfect pet for me.

Protection
By Wolfofthewoods

A land of danger,
Where monsters roam,
Creeping silently
Past the quiet village
Homes

A mighty roar,
A stamp of feet,
A swish of tail,

The villagers lie
Woken in their beds
With gruesome dreams
Of gruesome terrors
Filling their innocent heads

The Grarrl Keno
Lies in wreck,
The eggs cracked and crumbled,
The young's thoughts
As they stand alone
Are obscured and troubled

A mother Grarrl roars,
Bellows,
Into the darkness
That is night,
She will protect,
And to the death
She will fight

The Korbats flee
From straw-thatched homes,
Crying out in fright,
One creature stands,
To save the rest:
The Grarrl will always fight.
