Peophin of the Waves

As I scanned the horizon,
My eyes met a sight,
That was beautiful,
Though it gave me a fright.

A long, elegant tail glided into the sea,
Making me shiver with tension,
Giggle with glee.

Was it possible that this could be
The creature I'd sought out to see?
I shook my head,
It couldn't have been,
A trick of the light was all I had seen.

I turned around, sighing heavily,
Then in my ears rang a peaceful melody.
Glancing back at the swelling ocean,
An incredible sight did I see,
A sleek being lay gracefully on the shore,
Her sapphire eyes on me.

Gasping, I ran back to meet
The Peophin that had come to greet,
And throwing my arms around her slender neck,
I knew this was a moment I'd never forget.

Venuquin

A salty day at sea
The waves wash over me
This lifeboat just won't hold
But there is a legend to be told

Whenever there is trouble at sea
Venuquin will watch over you and me
She swims the ocean with fish and kelp
For anyone in trouble she will help

So we sit on our liferaft and float
Telling stories to each other of hope
Wait, look... did you see that glimmer?
Our eyes begin to shimmer

"We are saved!" some Kikos shout
Venuquin swims about!
She came that awful day
To pull us safely away!

For that day we all hold as fateful
To Venuquin we all are so greatful
Like a flash the glimmer swims away
To save another shipmate's day!

Peophin Day

A beautiful creature was found on this day
Swimming through the water's
Deepest stone quarry
Sad sobs came from this poor guy in dismay
And this is how he starts his story

"Hello there, friend," I spoke to him
"Where are you going, what's your name?"
He changed his expression, as not to look grim
"I am Peophin!" he did proclaim

We swam around Maraqua, and Krawk Island, too
Talking about all his adventures in the sea
He told me about the old and the new
I then told him an idea
That might have him jump with glee

I said I knew a place called Neopets,
And asked if he was interested
I told how great they were
And they could adopt him
His first impression appeared
As if he was uninterested
He paused, then replied yes with all his whim

We set up a meeting with the Neopets Team
They said, "Of course, we'd love him to stay!"
The Peophin hugged them,
Oh how his face did gleam
For now Peophin had his own July 26th birthday

Owner of the Petpet Stall

You may have seen her,
Since she runs the Petpet Stall,
But few know of her.

She's Peopatra,
Only Peophin merchant.
But no one sees this.

She is not famous,
Yet has done much to survive
Where there's no water.

She lives in the desert,
Far from the lakes she is used to.
Though none are aware.

But now she'll be known,
For it is Peophin Day
And I'll make her famed.

She sells Scarabugs
By the sand dunes all day long.
Yet still never tires.

From sunrise to dusk
She generously bargains
Away the Selkets.

She should be made known,
Her feats may sound small but she
Is brave to do them.

It's Peophin Day
So honor Peopatra,
Petpet Stall handler.
