Miss you Lots
By mhorsey
The candle goes out without a sound.
The embers slowly die down.
The warmth is gone already.
Now I'm not steady.
As I think of you dear Cybunny.
I forget about all my money.
I buy you a gift.
Then I make a wish.
I close my eyes
and tears fall.
The snowman seems to fade away,
as the sun rises to the day.
The birds that once were sure to sing,
never again do their songs ring.
As I think of you my best friend,
I know our friendship will never end.
Now I 'm here,
drying my tears
proud to have once been so true.
Now I'll always be with you.

A Storm
By sophie16189
Clouds scudded madly across the black sky,
the confused wind howling in all directions,
every few moments the full moon shone
from behind the gigantic clouds,
creating wraith-like shadows that lurked eerily
across the ground...
A bright light shone from between the clouds,
blinding everyone's eyes,
my best friend and I stood, shocked,
holding the umbrella over us,
we walked briskly as pellets of rain
began dropping from the sky onto the concrete ground,
pitter patter,pitter patter,
droplets breaking into even smaller pellets,
making the storm more dramatic with its little beats.
We finally got home,
where we felt cozy and safe,
huddling in front of the telly,
we watched the torrential downpour getting stronger,
but dangerous as the storm is,
we smiled contently in our soft beds,
and drifted to dreamland.

The Soup Faerie
By ponygirlr
The pot was brown
and full of stains,
The snow piled up
on the window panes.
The faerie sat shivering
(for it was getting cold)
As she ladled out soup
into small, cracked bowls.
And she thought to herself,
"The other faeries have it great,"
"Out blessing pets,
they don't have to suffer my fate."
But as she sat shivering
in the tattered clothes she wore,
A new pet walked in
through the small, grey door.
She thought it was a Kougra
but she couldn't tell for sure,
For mud and dirt and grime
had covered his once-red fur.
His desperate eyes
gazed longingly at the soup,
For weeks he had nowhere to sleep
but an old chicken coop.
The faerie winced, for she could
see his ribs right through his skin,
He must not have eaten for weeks;
he was so dreadfully thin.
The Kougra ate the soup
so fast that he looked like a blur,
And when he finished,
the faerie listened to his contented purr.
It was then that she realized
her job was more important than the rest,
For the way that Kougra looked at her
made her feel better than the best.

Syanrai - Forest Hunter
By saffty
Pushing through the undergrowth
He furrows one sleek brow...
Pads along, one soft pad landing
In front of the other. Effortlessly.
His shoulder blades slide back, beneath
the force of toned muscles-
As the low growl escalates into
An ear-splitting roar and
He opens out into a long striding lope.
Eating up the ground, he tears through the bush,
only stopping ages later,
When his 'prize' is cowering beneath
his panting form, pinning it
to the ground and then...
The kougra lets the chia go-
A solitary smile on his shadowed face.
