Nostalgia Abound

Do you remember a time when Faerieland flew? 
Or when we first met Maraqua in the deep blue?
Long before Shenkuu was found, 
And our dearest Trudy was not around. 
Back when the Neopian Times was new, 
And Geraptiku was too. 

Well, reminisce no more, 
For those simpler times have returned ashore! 
With waves of nostalgia abound, 
Your favorite Pets are sure to be found! 

Returning to us in such delight, 
There: I see a Faerie Xweetok take flight! 
And with eyes of red, 
The Grey Ixi is around here, it’s said. 
And prowling with such might, 
That Darigan Bori is quite the sight! 

With fresh colours and looks, 
These new Nostalgic Pets don’t play by the books! 
From the past, they return, 
And since then, my, so much to learn! 

As if reunited with a friend, 
With these Nostalgic Pets my heart shall mend. 
To be reminded of times long past, 
It makes one realize Neopia has evolved so fast! 

When Faerieland flew, 
And Maraqua discovered in the deep blue, 
I’m reminded so fine, 
For these Nostalgic Pets are once again mine!

Ode to the Attic

What's her name, do we know? 
I went upstairs and she was aglow. 
A ghost-like figure, but with a friendly face.
"We just ran out of items", she said as she paced. 

We've always come around, 
Since I turned three years old. 
And never once, 
was her name told. 

She tells us her price, 
and we take her clutter, 
The transactions are quick, 
they're smooth like butter. 

Many of our treasures
have come straight from here. 
Yet we still don't know 
what she holds dear. 

Does she keep anything?
Maybe not, she's a ghost.
But she should know,
We appreciate her the most. 

We'll come back again tomorrow, 
and again the next day, 
Hopeful for treasures
that she'll be throwing away. 

Maybe one day we'll ask, 
for some details about her,
but until then, 
here's a poem of our encounter.

Kacey Kacheek & Yvonne Yurble

Kacey Kacheek works hard for her keep, 
owning a beauty salon.
Creative & kind she’s always inclined, 
to style new looks for Yvonne.

On this bright sunny day now well underway, 
Yvonne walks in with a grin.
“How are you dear?” says Kacey with cheer, 
Yvonne says “The best that I’ve been!”

“I want something new, a style that screams ‘YOU’, 
and I know that you’re up for the job”.
Kacey says “Great! This must be fate, 
as I dreamt that I gave you a bob.”

“You did?” said Yvonne “You’re not putting me on?”, 
“Of course not!” said Kacey with care.
“Then a bob it shall be!” Yvonne proudly decrees, 
and sits at her usual chair.

Kacey sets to the deed, working with speed, 
carefully crafting the look.
Hair flies all around, and falls to the ground, 
as Kacey cuts hair by the book.

“All done!” Kacey beams, producing her dreams, 
and Yvonne gazes on with a smile.
“I love it so much, you’ve got a great touch! 
I think I’ll be set for a while”.

When all’s said & done, both ladies had fun, 
playing in Kacey’s domain.
Yvonne’s hair is new, and Kacey came through, 
close friends they will always remain.

The Joy of Nostalgic Neopets

For years and years, I longed to have
A UC of my own.
I’d stare with wonder and imagine
Giving one my home.

I always loved the Ixi,
Painted in the shade of Grey.
Her sad, sweet eyes and melancholy
Took my breath away.

I also loved the Faeries,
With their bright and happy poses.
The Wocky and the Xweetok
Had the cutest button noses!

But most of all, my favorites
Had to be the Royal Girls.
The Cybunny and Kyrii
Were as elegant as pearls!

And though I loved to look at them,
Deep down, I always knew:
It was just a dream of mine,
Never to come true.

Until one day, my world was shook
When TNT declared:
Nostalgic Neopets shall be
Available everywhere!

Words cannot describe my sense of
Pure, unbridled glee!
Nostalgic Neopets have made me
Happy as can be!

Now I can have my dream Pets
In every shade and hue.
Thank you kindly, TNT,
For making our dreams come true!

The Rocket Juma

Once upon a time there was a Juma,
who had one very special skill.
When he rode his rocket he went zoom zoom,
and he loved to move quickly with a thrill.

The Rocket Juma was his name,
and he wanted to ride his rocket to the moon.
He knew once he did he'd have fame,
and he knew that he'd have it quite soon!

Upon his back the rocket sat,
and he'd fly forth towards his goal.
He flew higher and higher than that,
and soon he'd be ready to roll.

One day he got up his courage,
to try on the extra-large pack.
He most certainly wouldn't be discouraged,
and his rock-solid goals were on track.

He lit the fuse of his rocket,
and into the sky he blasted off.
He held firm to his sockets,
and now no one at him could scoff.

And with a poof he rode aloof from his roof,
into the distant skies.
He knew he'd need to return with proof,
and it would be Moon Cheese that his heart belies.

Over time he made his way to Kreludor,
Neopia's moon right up in the sky.
But when he saw the planet far from him,
he wondered how to get back again when he tried!

The Jelly Keeper (an acrostic)

Jauntily guarding the Giant Jelly is
Every hungry Neopet’s enemy. 
Line up with order
Lest you’ll be kicked out. 
You can’t sneak past me, declares the Wocky. 

While you’ll try to take more than your share,
Only one jelly, and you must be done. 
Raspberry or pear,
Lemon or lime,
Doesn’t matter, you still just get one. 

If you would try to pull any tricks
Say, put on a disguise, or use a nickname. 
No one is fooled
Only now you’re the fool!
The Wocky’s rage will put you to shame. 

Remember then, when you visit the Jelly
Each day, to be on your best behaviour. 
Another misstep or attempts to get more,
Leaves you with the wrath of the Jelly Keeper.

The Grey Peophin

My dearest Grey Peophin, 
why are you so sad?
You sit there with your head down,
and a great big frown.

Your hair flows like silver,
your eyes shine like flames.
You skin shines with a glimmer,
Why hang your head in shame?

You can swim faster than no other,
but you don't even bother.
You could jump so very high,
sometimes you almost touch the sky. 

You can do back flips and front flips,
without a single slip.
You can dive to great depths with ease,
you can do pretty much whatever you please!

Yet you sit here looking so sad,
I really wish I could make you glad! 
You are the most beautiful Neopet one has ever seen,
You are the Peophin Queen!

A Red Pteri Soars Amongst The (JubJub) Clouds

As I’ve sat and stared at that Red Pteri, 
dutifully blocking my way,
I can’t help but wonder,
if I’ll ever move forward
before the end of day.

I leave and return, it’s the same as before,
except the occasional Meepit,
but they don’t fool me,
I know it’s the same,
maybe if it were a Feepit.

As I return for the Nth time,
the sun dips below the horizon.
First ruffles, then red!
spread so far wide,
Up to the sky, they have risen. 

I watch the Pteri soar higher and higher,
through clouds and the sky, weaving so high
I eagerly wait to re-enter,
but something’s amiss,
the Pteri once more grows nigh.

This time with friends, the clouds come along,
but turns out these aren’t quite Clouds,
they’re JubJubs, you see
and they’ve joined the party,
and boy, they are quite the crowd!

Hannah's New Quest Log

Quests and caves, corridors and chance
She may seem demure at first glance
But don't underestimate this Usul, I say
In fact, befriending her may be the way

Hannah is the new Quest Log proprietor
Like the Faeries, but a little bit quieter
You can complete quests daily for rewards
The Neopoints you spend will be restored

Treasures untold lay at her feet
And if you are diligent and stay on the beat
You could earn yourself a nice little prize
So I'd treat her with respect if you are wise

Come to the Quest Log cave on your own
No need to wait on function and form
Each day there's a checklist for you to complete
And your bag of Neopoints will be replete

Come every day, and keep up your streak
Seven quest days make up the week
There's a special prize for those who persevere
Rare items and collectables that can sell dear

Should you forget a day, or take a break
Your promised reward may be at stake
This Usul will not forgive laziness, none
Miss a day, and you'll be done

The Daily Quests Are Oh So Generous

The Daily Quests are interesting.
For this activity I'm keen!
The simple tasks reward me so.
The prizes can be great, you know!

A paint brush, coveted, is mine!
I'll own a Candy pet, divine.
My album gets a brand new stamp!
I really do feel like a champ.

However, junk is also here.
The Plushies aren't worth much, I fear.
Or, Neopoints are also nice!
One hundred thousand will suffice.

So, if you're bored, complete these quests.
Some prizes really are the best!
If you're stuck on a junker, then
Just wait a day and try again.

What’s this we hear? What’s all the roar?
The Neopian Battledome, that’s what’s in store! 
Chia Clown, a pushover for sure
But what we didn't know is that the Clown was a lure

The Clown’s power was bizarre
Our equipment was simply just not on par
One by one my Neopets were flung afar
Who thought it was a good idea to give this Clown a car?

We decided to try another fight
The Kreludan Robot looked just right
But soon a problem would come into light
This mighty Robot outshone the sun in height

Its strength was unparalleled to none
As stars around my Neopets heads had spun
S750 must stand for how many times they’ve won
But now they’re due for a name change, because we are done.

That's it! We’ve had it my Neopets scream
We’ll break the rules lets go in as a team!
Zero difficulty, lets give them the cream!
Little did they know, it would not turn out as it would seem

Punchbag Bob’s endurance was a feat!
He’s a foe anyone would struggle to beat!
All our efforts were not so sweet
As we had to concede, leaving us with a defeat.

To Swashbuckling Academy, it is for us,
That would be the case, if doubloons weren’t a must
So instead my Neopets call training a bust
They gather their hopes, in Coltzan we trust.

Excited for NC Styles!

Everyone crowds in the NC Mall aisles.
We're excited for the release of the NC Styles!
We rush to the checkout with bags full of kits.
Just like that, we’re out in a blitz.

Umbra watches as Neopians rush from their window.
Their studio is now open and out of limbo.
Thus to work they start without complaint.
For Umbra likes nothing more than to paint.

Inspiration is sure to strike.
This Lutari’s works are very lifelike.
They’ll give your Pet a Nostalgic look.
Just one paint job and you’re caught in their hook.

They’ll paint you Darigan, oh that’s scary.
Or perhaps you would prefer a pretty Faerie?
How about Grey to be cute and sad?

Or MSP if your Pet is mad.

Coconut or Mallow if you like food.
They have so many colours that look so good.
Maybe your Usul can be Usuki.
Perhaps fancy your Quiggle Quiguki?



Whatever you choose, the options are there.
You might even want to grab a spare.
So enjoy the release of Nostalgic Pets.

The Scariest Zafara - Edna the Witch

In the Witch's Tower you can find, 
A Zafara who's name sends shivers down my spine.

It took her more than 200 moons, 
To learn how to fly a magic broom. 

She was never a natural at magic spells, 
And her cauldron is always filled with funky smells.

I made the journey to her tower,
And underestimated her chaotic power.

She asked me to fetch ingredients for a potion,
And I expected some soothing lotion.

In return I didn't get much of a prize,
I ended up with a Pumpkin Chip Surprise.

I ran in fear because I'm sure her plot,
Was to turn me into a Frogarott.

Nothing would fill Edna with more glee,
I was probably better off going to see Sophie...

The Elephante that Wanted to Fly

A Blue Elephante was sleeping sound in her bed.
She was sleeping calmly, no feelings of dread.
She was dreaming that she was able to fly.
She was flying gracefully in the blue sky.

A noise woke her up and then she was sad.
It was only a dream that she wanted real bad.
She put on her clothes and went for a walk.
She only chose to go around the block.

Two of her friends walked up to say hi.
They were painted Faerie and knew how to fly.
They noticed a frown on their friend’s face,
So they asked what was wrong as she started to pace.

“All I want is for my dreams to be real.
I want to fly and need the appeal.
What good are these wings if they cannot be used?
I just want to try! What is there to lose?”

Her friends jumped up as they had a nice thought. 
“Please close your eyes and don’t be distraught.”
She did as they said and closed both of her eyes.
She felt something wonderful as she began to rise!

She flapped her wings as hard as she could.
She soon gained speed like her wings understood.
All senses of sadness soon left her alone.
She could fly anywhere and into the unknown!

Soon this journey had come to an end.
She was on the ground with both of her friends.
She knew they had carried her into the sky.
For a brief moment it seemed like she could fly.

She did not care that the flying was fake.
She had friends that did whatever it would take.
“Please don’t worry that you can’t actually fly.
Being different is okay, we cannot deny.”

Lake of Lightmites

Quiet lies upon the lake
A breathless wind blows low
The night is still and soft
The Lightmites start to glow. 

One by one they flash their song
Sparks light up the bay
Tell of tales, new and old
As they flit and play. 

All night long their tails flash
The glowing Petpetpets
Curate a dazzling display
One never forgets. 

In spirals, swirls and sudden dives
Light falls in cascades
Till the first light of the dawn
When the Lightmites fade. 

In bright sunshine, the Lightmites rest
Saving their display
To light up the twilit eve
At the end of day.

Morphing Potion

When I was still a Techo,
I would wonder why,
I had strong limbs, and a tail,
But I could not fly.

Whenever I saw a Draik,
I would admire their wings,
And feel strong envy
Pulling at my heartstrings.

In my heart I knew 
I should have been a Draik.
Being born a Techo
Must have been a mistake.

Every day I worked hard.
Saving every Neopoint I earned
Only eating from the Omelette 
To buy what I so yearned.

Finally, I had saved enough,
And my dream came true!
Kauvara smiled when I entered the shop,
“How can I help you?”

My heart clenched, 
My eyes turned teary,
“One Draik morphing potion,
In the colour Faerie!”

With that, it was done.
Feelings of euphoria encompassed me,
I shot the potion at once.
I was finally free!

I flew for hours, wings spread wide.
Being a Draik feels right,
I can finally really live,
The world is a lot more bright!

The True Thieves' Leader
