Quietly the snowflakes flurry—
Swiftly to my home, I hurry.
My nose and ears are turning pink—
“There is one remedy,” I think.

A mug of Borovan keeps me warm,
Safely away from the winter storm.
My fingers lace around the mug—
This gives me comfort, like a hug.

I let the steam warm my face,
As I enjoy these festive days.
The aroma wafts into my nose—
Sweetly dreaming, my eyes close.

In my slumber and my dreams,
I’m surrounded by Borovan streams.
I taste Borovan made in many ways—
This truly is a heavenly place.

When I awake I am glad to see,
My mug of Borovan is still with me.
In front of the fireplace, I take a sip,
And lick the remnants on my lips.

I love this drink with all my heart—
Borovan indeed is a work of art!

To celebrate this festival on the 20th of the month of Celebrating, many would drink a hot cup of Borovan,
They would either make it from scratch or buy it from a shop --- what if we don't have time to do that... oh, man!
Well, there's a Borovan Fountain that only appears in Neopia once a year,
That's why if you don't have time to make or buy a Borovan drink you should have no fear.

This Fountain will magically appear in each part of Neopia thanks to the Soup Faerie's magical enchantment,
As a gift for this festival's special moment.
You don't have to look for it because it'll appear right in front of you when you want to grab a cup of Borovan,
But if you live in a warm area you'll need a fan.

No matter the weather, there's nothing better

Some folks make do, and wouldn't you,
with other steaming drinks,

to sip on in the shade.

In winter's season, there is no reason

Overcoming a Borovan Fear

An Asparagus Chia’s name was Stan.
What he hated the most was borovan.
There was so much hype, he knew not why.
It wasn’t that good and wasn’t fly.

Was it because he’s Asparagus that made it weird?
Did this actually make the drink a big fear?
Hot chocolate was better in every way.
It always made him yell a ‘Hooray!’

There was then a knock at his front door,
So he got up to answer. “Oh, what a bore!”
He opened the door and smiled real bright.
It was his best friend which was a great sight.

“Why are you here? What do you need?”
His friend smiled and gave a guarantee.
“I stumbled upon something so good!”
The Chia frowned since he understood.

In his friend’s hands was something he scanned.
It was a steaming cup of some borovan.
“Get that away, it does not belong,
And do not try to prove that I’m wrong!”

His friend shrugged and quickly sighed,
But he knew real hard that he still should try.
“Have you ever tried this popular drink,
Or that it’s actually better than you might think?”

The Chia sighed at his best friend.
He never was wronged, so this shouldn’t be the end.
“I will take one drink but that is all.
It will be a quick drink and will be really small.”

The Chia began to drink and close his eyes.
He was covered in warmth as he began to try.
“What is this feeling? What can it be?
Why do I suddenly feel like I’m free?”

His friend just smiled with a large tear.
“You did so well with facing your fear!”
The Chia realized what he discovered.
You should never judge something just by its cover.

Two Mugs Of Borovan

Winter is the most beautiful season,
no doubt because it’s time.
to drink borovan for any reason,
it truly is sublime.
Drink it any time of day,
under moon or in sunshine!

Won’t you sit down and grab a cup?
A warm delicious treat!
Sit by the fire and we’ll warm up,
It’s funky, but it’s sweet.
I’ve got some cookies, too,
if you’d like something to eat!

Two mugs poured from a steaming kettle,
with cookies on the side,
be sure to let the green bits settle,
by that, you must abide.
Why you ask? Don’t worry ’bout that.
And don’t knock it ‘till you’ve tried!

Here’s to chocolate and asparagus!
It may come as a surprise.
It really is quite glamorous,
delicious, and sublime.
It’s strange I know, I really do,
but it’s perfect in my eyes.

So to share some Borovan together,
asparagus and all,
will be a memory to cherish forever,
even if it’s small. 
We’ll reminisce the old ones, too,
the happiest of all.

The Asparagus Farmer

Once a year, on the 20th of December
Business spikes for an Asparagus Farmer. 
As lines and lines of Neopets await
To purchase asparagus by the crate. 

It’s such a curious phenomenon
For this vegetable to suddenly catch on. 
Why the sudden pique in interest -
It’s really just a bland plant at best!

The Farmer watches as more and more
Neopets rush into his store,
Cups of steaming hot chocolate in hand,
Of course - it’s used for Borovan!

Determined to try this intriguing fad,
The Farmer digs out all the ingredients he had.
And after some stirs and whisks and whips,
He cautiously takes his very first sips:

Layers of milky chocolate-ness
Intertwined with asparagus,
Flavours multidimensional,
This drink is simply delectable!

Frothy foam atop the lusciousness,
Marshmallows added for some sweetness.
On a cold day, with its comforting heat,
Borovan is truly a treat!

So with one last gulp, the Farmer smiles
In satisfaction, at his asparagus piles. 
For now, he knows of this drink he adores,
Day after day, he will keep making more.
