Too FAB for You!

A gallant gallop, a magnificent mane, 
Uni walks in, in utter fame. 
Shoppers give glance, 
As if in a trance

Which shop will she grace?? 
My word, that face!
Glitter and shimmer, sparkle and shine, 
Uni’s mere presence, oh how divine.

Neopian mall, grooming shop at once, 
It’s been much too long, has it been months? 
Head held high and haughty glee, 
Time for a shopping spree!

First to clothing, for a fashionable hat, 
Lovely Acara holding it, oh no, A SPAT!
Cameras flashing and news recording, 
All while clothes, bystanders hoarding. 

Uni triumphant, hat in tatters, 
“Oh well,” flips her main,” I won, that’s what matters.”
Next shop, she continues, continue the onslaught, 
Shopping in grooming to cover her face spots. 

Face cream in hand, and pocketbook empty, 
Probably should leave, she hasn’t been thrifty. 
A forlorn glance given it’s time to take leave, 
No better way to celebrate Uni Day eve.

The Tale of the Cliff Uni

When you pass the Eastern Pass
Past the Terror Mountain slopes, 
You might find a Cliff Uni
On a daring, sturdy lope.

When you stride through the snow,
You might feel the eyes
Of a wary Cliff Uni
Lurking in the ice.

When you traverse the hills
Encased in eternal winter,
Beware the Cliff Uni,
His horn, his hooves, his canter.

Shaggy mane, white coat,
At home within frost and cold.
Like an elusive ghost
From stories only told.

More than a story,
More than a tale,
The Cliff Uni moves
Faster than a gale.

He bows his head 
And points his horn.
When you see his face,
Full of pride and scorn.

That horn is sharp,
Take cover and run!
Lest your Terror Mountain adventure
Quickly be over and done!

That snowy sentinel,
The strange Cliff Uni.
Ranges the mountain
As far as the eye can see.

Beauty Talks (at the Uni Salon)

A Uni’s got class, a Uni’s a steed
with a hair care regime for which I cheerlead
(for exorbitant maintenance can hide any misdeed!).

From their horns to their hooves, a Uni is primed
to look totally glam if they just spend some time

in the bluest of mirrors with the goldest of brush,
then those tangly tresses will turn floofy and lush.

But! It’s double double frizz and trouble
if you don’t first use a pink shampoo that bubbles

so douse that mane! and make it snappy!
Those flyaways don’t look so happy,

and I think your makeup could use a shakeup, 
so grab a sparkling puff from our Uni-que lineup. 

Ah, I see you’ve found it’s not so simple
to contour that jawline and highlight those dimples–

well never you mind, we’ve seen it all,
we’ve polished ponies from the small to the tall–

and don’t forget that your horn is your crowning glory,
if you leave the house without glossing, you might be sorry,

for a Uni is blessed with such marvellous features,
for flouncing and twirling and impressing all creatures,

and – what’s that? What’s the price? 
For your billowing tail, and face done up so nice? 

Well, my dear. For you, it’s free
if only you promise you will strive to be

a Uni with warmth to match your sunny glow:
for the secret to beauty is kindness, don’t you know?

The Prettiest Neopets

Unis are all so beautiful.
And that is quite indisputable.
People say that they are vain,
But at least they aren't plain.

They have a shiny mane of hair,
That causes others to stare,
And also a big sharp horn,
That was there when they were born.

When they eat their delicacies,
They do so quite elegantly,
And when they prance and move around,
Their hooves click gently on the ground.

They always like to buy new clothes,
And race each other in the meadows.
They're definitely the fairest creatures,
With all the best features.

Rose, the Adoption Uni

One of the most famous Unis in Neopia is Rose. 
It's not because of her looks but the profession she chose. 
She helps out with adoptions at the Neopian Pound, 
And she'll keep working until no lonely Neopets are around. 
As the years go by, respect for her grows. 

Rose often puts up decorations to brighten up the place.
She also has a lovely demeanour and a friendly face. 
Finding each Neopet a home is all about trial and error. 
It is never a failure but just a chance to find someone better.
She knows that this process is a marathon and not a race.

All the Neopets there appreciate the work that she puts in,
So regardless of the results, they still put on a grin. 
When they are around Rose, they feel a lot of love, 
And even without having a family, having her is enough. 
The only thing that could be better is if she had a twin!

The Monstrous Mutant Uni Stirs Up a Scare

The Mutant Uni is so mean!
No fiercer creature can be seen.
This horse will always glare at me,
Creating anything but glee!

A single eye, cyclopean,
Is paired with such an evil grin.
His teeth are sharp; I know he bites!
My soul is filled with tons of fright.

His wings enable him to fly
Through eerie, dark, and haunted skies.
His hooves will pack one mighty kick!
You'd better run from him, and quick!

So, if you see this steed, just flee!
There's no way you could possibly
Befriend him---he is much too gruff.
Just looking at him is enough.

Song of the Snow Uni

The noble species stretched across
a cloud-bespeckled sky,
or pulling loads that no one can, 
no matter how they try,

has members who can neither do.
Yet noble, he remains.
For out of fusillades of snow,
and out of sculpted pains,

arose a Uni born of snow,
with carrots in his wings.
Instead of soaring, or brute strength,
the frozen Uni sings.

A haunting melody doth pierce
and crisp the cracking air,
and chills the bones of all who hear,
to fill them with despair.

A call that saps the air of warmth,
replacing it with ice,
no mercy shall his voice bestow:
clouds crackle in a trice.

But to his coal-dust eyes, and ears
of white, compacted snow,
his timbre helps the sleeping earth
and summons ice to grow.

My Uni Beauty Routine

I sit by my mirror
In the early light of dawn
To prepare my routine for the day
As graceful as a swan.

The Uni Beauty Manual 
Says that I will need
A variety of products
For my grooming deeds.

Blush, lipstick, glitter,
A gold-handled brush,
And of course a fully stocked pink vanity
For Uni’s there’s no rush!

I untangle silky locks 
And shine my hooves with care 
My reflection shows how fabulous I am
It’s frighteningly clear.

Next I try on eighteen outfits
(None of them will work!)
Time to unlock
The epic shopping spree perk!

I grab all my neopoints
And head into town
My wardrobe will have to be all new
A hat, some shoes, a gown.

Uni’s Clothing is unmatched
It’s my favorite store
I love their selection
And their service even more!

My last stop is obvious,
A Uni necessity.
The Grooming Parlour makes me feel
Inside and out I’m pretty.

The Nightsteed: An Encounter You Want Not Remember

The streets of Qasala fall dark,
As Jazan's loyal friend approaches.
The Nightsteed makes his devious mark,
Fire afoot, eyes red as crimson. 

Unable to escape the curse of the undead,
The jade Uni exists as he was meant to be.
Instead of living in torment and dread,
The Nightsteed accepts his new macabre form. 

Although cursed, he has found a disguise,
The face of a blue Uni friendly and fair.
The Nightsteed succumbs to his own lies,
Reveals a bandaged face with an insidious glare.

Wings untethered, mane black as night;
A soul adrift in the Lost Desert.
Cracked hooves stomped with all their might,
An encounter you want not remember.

The Problem with Hooves

Alexa the Uni 
Had beauty and grace
And was known across all the lands
The one single problem
That no one could solve 
Was the overall lack of her hands

Her mane flowed like rivers
And boy did she ever
Love frolicking throughout the fields
But once she was done
And then heading back home
The grass and the leaves were revealed

See Alexa the Uni
Could not brush these out 
Since her hooves stopped her right in her tracks
So she would return to her owner
Who would sit right beside her
And remove them while Alexa relaxed

Alexa the Uni
Had beauty and grace
And an owner who loved and adored
So she had no complaints
Though she just had to wait 
Therefore Alexa the Uni was bored
