The Neopian Year
by _sahne_

The Neopian Calendar is really special,
every month has its very own festival.
The Neopians love to celebrate and party a lot,
so they find a reason to revel, no matter what.

In January, all pets recover from the holidays,
and they sleep a lot to regain their grace.
Until it's Sloth's great day, they will all be fine,
Especially the sheared Gnorbus - including all six of mine.

In April, Topsi has a lot of treasures for everyone,
searching for Easter eggs and eating them is so much fun!
Even the grey pets look a little happier these days,
because it's in April that their festival will take place.

When the summer comes and it gets warmer in June,
everyone is happy to celebrate until the rise of the moon.
It's the month of the Quiggle, Nimmo and Acara,
So you can guess everyone meets in the depths Maraqua.

When autumn comes, the harvesting and gathering begins,
fruits, potatoes and faerie quests is what this month brings.
Faerie quests? Yes, you read that right,
the faeries are generous now, against all their pride.

The month of Celebrating is approaching with big steps now,
but one month earlier, Neopets becomes one year older, wow!
In December all pets prepare for the Day of Giving,
And when there's time, savour a mug of Borovan, delicious thing!

My Magical Negg Collection
by indulgences

I've captured all the NC Neggs.
They sparkle in my hand.
I'm loath to put them on my shelf,
Or even, in my bag.

They ought to be held safe and sound
Within my SDB,
But still, I cannot let them go.
They shimmer and they gleam.

Their colours, they inspire me so.
They're pastel, pale and bright.
I can't believe I got them free.
They fill me with delight.

I'll never use them at the Mall.
I don't have cash to spare.
But I can look upon these Neggs
As often as I dare.

I'm keeping them because I can't
Discard such lovely things.
They're gorgeous. They inspire me.
They make me want to sing.

And finally, I'll put them in
My SDB to stay.
I'll keep them there forevermore.
I'll view them every day!

Holder of Flame and Ice
by eleganza_lights

Aethia, holder of flame and ice,
With noble cause, to teach and fight.
She may ask for a quest or two,
Or an avatar you may get in sight.

Do all her quests and you will find,
Generous rewards she bestows.
With her help go forth in battle,
Defeat the enemy with one blow.

Now she cares for the Weapon’s Shop,
In Faerieland’s clouds high above.
You may find a weapon or two,
That fits you like a glove.

She carries the best of the best,
Weapons the greatest faeries wield.
From powerful water faerie’s bow,
To Illusen’s radiant shield.

Hold Nuria’s amulet in your hands,
Or the darkness faerie axe.
You will feel power coursing through,
And responsibility to the max.

Aethia was deemed worthy,
By the mighty swords she holds.
Are you ready for the challenge,
To defend against evil of this world.

Hidden Prosperity
by darkhound45

Deep in the heart of Faerieland,
A lost toy lives that is quite grand.

A blue Grundo plushie that seems real sad,
Can bring luck to pets making them glad.

What kind of luck does he bring?
He solves hunger, gives neopoints but doesn’t sing.

The plushie is all alone don’t you see?
All he wants is some company.

Instead of shopping or playing games,
Pay him a visit so you can bring him fame!

Autumn Herbal Tea: The Season's Spiciest Drink
by _brainchild_

I love my Autumn Herbal Tea!
It's very comforting to me.
I got it from the Coffee Cave,
And it is sure to be a fave!

It's full of warm and yummy spice---
The cinnamon is very nice!
It also boasts a sweetness. I
Adore this drink with tasty pie!

The pumpkin flavour shall amaze!
Soon more will love this wondrous craze.
The cup is quite the souvenir,
With ribbons which I hold quite dear.

So, if you seek a steaming drink,
This one won't make you have to think.
It's pleasing---you should purchase one.
You'll crave some more once you are done.

Songs of the Brightvale University Choir
by parody_ham

I’m a professor, you see,
For the University.
Not just any instructor,
I’m the choir conductor!

We study the music in great detail,
As our music weaves a mystical tale.
And above the crowd, the soloist sings
Tales of great mercy by history’s kings.

Knights ride in battle in songs of great wars;
Melodies dance ‘cross harmonious scores.
Sounds of the clashes of steel on each blade;
For triumph, terrible cost they had paid.

Music speaks fondly of bonds that transcend
The hardships of life nurtured to ascend.
Brave, wayward warrior, hold fast your faith.
Don’t give into grief, lest it cling like a wraith.

Let the music fill up your heart and soul!
Sing the songs of old Brightvale and feel whole.
With the students of the college chorale,
Our melodies sweet lift up your morale.

And the honour is mine,
To instruct students fine.
I’m a professor, you see,
For the University.

First Day of NeoSchool
by miraday

“Are you ready? We can’t be late!”
The voice rang from the kitchen.
The Aisha checked the mirror
And said, “Here’s to new beginnings.”

She was dressed in her best—
But casual cool, a summer dress
And her new backpack filled
With supplies and the rest.

Pens clicked in her bag like
A Millipod running over pebbles,
Her binder neat like Origami pets
Trying not to get dishevelled.

The first day of NeoSchool was here
And this would be the Aisha’s chance
To start anew in a new district and
Finally make some new friends.

“Well, are we all set to go?”
Her mother asked, bittersweetly.
The Aisha smiled and beamed,
“I’m as ready as I’ll ever be.”

Organic Foods
by spukl1

Mmmmm it is time to eat,
Breakfast or lunch it won’t be sweet,
Only the healthiest, the most organic,
If it is not fresh, I’ll start to panic!

Organic Leeks are just so much better,
Regular ones are gross & slightly wetter,
Same goes for walnuts, & broccoli too,
If it ain’t organic, I’ll have to say adieu!

My organic garden is above the rest,
With onions and apples, it’s simply the best!
I love my mushy peas and butters,
Only organic! Milk straight from the utters!

Please transition to this healthy life,
You can taste the difference in just one slice.
Sure, it’ll cost more from your bank,
But worth it, I tell ya, and then you’ll thank.

Organics are the only choice for me,
I couldn’t go back even if there was a plea.
So natural and clean, it makes me smile,
They give me the energy to run the extra mile.

I love my cherries, peaches and apples galore,
I don’t even care if it will make me poor.
Organics of Neopia are just the best
Fruits & nuts aplenty, I feel so blessed.

Lucky Meowclops
by liminalnostalgia

It watches me with one large, unblinking eye
from the shopkeep’s counter. "That’s not for sale,"
she says, and I close my mouth. "Not
for cash, anyway." I turn back to the little statue,
its mouth curved up, its paw raised,
beckoning. I leave the store with my purchases
and go about my day, but
it haunts me. I search for one like it
wherever I think to search, but find nothing.
It’s like some sort of trinket ghost. I begin to wonder
if I dreamt it, or somehow twisted it
in my brain to look different. But suddenly,

unexpectedly,
I’m staring into that eye again,
in a run-down antiques shop in the Haunted Woods.
It’s partially hidden
behind a row of spooky plushies, but I’d recognize
that gaze anywhere. I reach into the pile,
a chill going through my hand
where it brushes against cool fabric, and then
I’m holding the little statue,
the same one that’s been trapped
in the back of my brain for weeks. "How much for this?"
I ask the shopkeep, and he glances
at the item in my hand before
he meets my gaze again, a glimmer
of something in his eye. "For you?

Nothing," he says, a hint of a smile on his lips.
"You look like you could use
a little luck."
The Lucky Meowclops sits
on my neohome desk, watching me
with a smile as I type, and I smile
as I look back at it.
I rub its head with my finger and I could swear
I hear a faint purring.

Snowager's Gaze
by saviorfoxowlis

I see you coming here
From miles away
Your arrogant lack of fear

They're frozen in my lair
Examples, victims
Just trophies for the scare.

Last point to run, depart
You think I'm sleeping now
About to show your heart

You face absolutely
Zero chance escaping
Never seen again.

Just stare into my eyes
You see the final gaze
You ask yourself and lie

To still your panic, lie
Pretend you won't die here
Trapped in snow, immortalized

Oh trapped in frost
Scared and lost
Was this worth the cost?

I'll laugh at your cold tears
An icy breath, cold soul
I'll realize your fears.
